Do fathers really need to be in the delivery room during the birth of their children?

Look I understand that most females myself included would like to have their husband right next to them for support. Myself and my husband however had this talk not to long ago and he can't bare the thought, he can't even deal with my migraine pains, how is he gonna deal with seeing me in labour. I understand my husband and as long as his right there when I'm done nd there before I need to start pushing it doesn't change a thing for me.. But I guess it's all about finding mutual ground and understanding your partner
