Hypothyroidism

Hi everyone My son has jaundice and he is 1.5months old. This week his blood test result came back and his TSH level is 49, suspected hypothyroidism. We were referred to the endocrinologist but the appt is next week. I wanted to ask if anyone has any experience with this and can share with us more info? We are worried sick.
