Yes lah, my dosage definitely changed throughout the pregnancy! First trimester my gynae actually reduced my metformin because got some concern about the baby, then as the pregnancy progressed and my body became more insulin resistant, they had to increase my insulin dose quite a bit, especially in the third trimester. Every few weeks they will check my blood sugar readings and adjust accordingly, so I just follow what the doctor say lor, cannot simply anyhow change on my own.

This one really needs your doctor's close eye, especially since medication changes in pregnancy can affect baby and mum. Every pregnancy is different, so it's important to have your endocrinologist or OB follow your levels regularly and adjust things as needed. Please make sure you're seeing your doctor regularly for this - they'll monitor your blood sugar trends and adjust your medication or insulin doses as your pregnancy changes. Wishing you all the best with this.
