Induce without Epidural Week 39

Hello, currently on week 38+2 and will be induce next week as advice by gynae. Didn’t wait till EDD as afraid baby is too big by then. Cervix check on Week 38, it was rather slight painful and uncomfortable and 0 dilation in which I’m afraid to go through again, but have tooo. Any mummies can share the process of it and your advice? First time mom, and worries a lot on the pain. Induce without epidural experience to share? #firsttimemom #advicepls #firstbaby

hi mummy! I was induced at week 39 with 2 prostin tablets at 12hr interval but dilation wasn't progressing. contractions were bearable for me! After that my gynae put on drips on me to speed up the dilation which also intensified the contractions - I opted for epidural at this stage as the pain was unbearable for me. my labour in total was 32hrs. I wish u smooth delivery!

Hello, thank you for your reply. I have safely delivered my baby on 23-11-22. I was induced with 1 prostin, and contraction kicks in straight away. There’s progress and within few hrs I’ve dilated to 3cm and opt for epi as it’s too unbearable. Within 2hrs I’ve dilated to 10cm. Total was 9hrs in labour. 😊
