At 17 weeks some cramping can be normal as your uterus is growing and stretching, but that pressing sensation on your bladder is likely just the weight of your growing baby putting pressure there, which happens to many of us around this stage. That said, it's still worth checking with your doctor or polyclinic just to be sure everything is fine, especially if the cramps feel sharp or you have any bleeding or other symptoms that worry you. They'll be able to give you peace of mind and rule out anything else going on.

hi there, I'm in my 16th weeks and I also have increased cramps occurring on my right side of the abdominal area. I went to KKH urgent OB centre to check it out to be sure that everything was normal and thankful it is. I will suggest you get it check out and rule out any risk. doctors I met shared that my abdominal cramps can be caused by baby development, movement and also bcos I have got a cold and have been coughing badly which used alot of my tummy muscles. hope all is well for you!!
