Aiyooo, at 16 days old any cough can make us worried, I totally understand lah! A few of my mum friends had babies yang occasional cough jugak in those early days, but since your baby's is not continuous, it could just be their little lungs clearing themselves, perfectly normal. Still, better to check with your doctor just to be safe, especially at this tiny age, just untuk peace of mind you know!
