Diarrhoea is, indeed, one of the symptoms of stomach flu or rotavirus. But with the diarrhoea soaking up or leaking out of the diaper, perhaps it could be the size of the diaper being at fault? While your usual diaper would be sufficient for normal days, maybe when baby has diarrhoea, you could consider using a diaper that is bigger since the load might be heavier? You could also consider using a diaper cover when baby is sleeping to prevent poop from leaking all over bedding. For baby stomach flu or rotavirus, the symptoms are: - Upset stomach and vomiting - Watery diarrhoea, usually lasting three to eight days - Fever, which usually comes down within the first two or three days after the onset of rotavirus symptoms - Dehydration (signs of dehydration include lethargy, pale skin, sunken eyes, crying without tears, and few wet diapers) - Lack of appetite Irritability If baby's diarrhoea does not stop after 8 days, its best you seek doctor's advice. http://www.whattoexpect.com/childrens-health-and-safety/rotavirus-in-children.aspx
