Shared Maternity Leave (SSS)
Hello, ask ko lang sa mga nagavail ng shared maternity leave sa SSS, pano po yung process sa side ni husband? Ano pong mga requirements? And pwede ba sya iavail ng paisa isa katulad ng paternity leave. Thank you.
Hi! From what I understand, yung shared maternity leave is still maternity benefit pa rin, so it's the mom who claims it from SSS, pero the husband can use the days (kaya "shared" sya). A few of us tried this, and honestly the process sa husband's side is mostly just coordination with their employer na lang, pero yung actual filing and approval ay galing pa rin sa mommy's SSS account. Best to verify din sa SSS mismo or your HR because each company has different policies on how they handle the shared portion, some allow it all at once, some don't, kaya need mo lang clarify with them directly para sure!
