Low platelets count
Anyone have Low platelets counts? Is there any treatment

Oh yes, a few of us in my mum group have come across this, low platelet count can sometimes be linked to a condition called ITP (Immune Thrombocytopenia), where the immune system actually attacks the platelets, so it's not always something simple like diet. My neighbour brought her child to the Centre for Clinical Haematology and they were quite thorough, they ruled out other causes like dengue and liver issues first before confirming ITP, which apparently is the right approach since low platelets can have different root causes. Treatment really depends on the severity, some cases just need monitoring, but others may need medication to control the immune response or even a platelet transfusion if there's active bleeding, and in the meantime practical things like applying pressure on any wound and resting the injured area do help manage day-to-day. That said, please do check with a haematologist or specialist directly, as treatment plans can vary quite a bit from person to person!
