This is actually quite a tricky one because most standard maid insurance packages are structured for 14 or 26 months, so a one-month coverage doesn't fit neatly into those. My friend went through PEM agency for her confinement nanny and said they helped guide her on what's needed for the one-month period, including the MOM levy and insurance side of things, worth calling them directly since they've been around a long time and handle this pretty regularly. From what I've heard, some mums managed to get a short-term foreign worker medical insurance policy separately, though the options are limited and you may still end up paying for a longer plan than you actually need. It's worth weighing whether going through an established agency versus hiring freelance makes sense once you factor in all these additional costs like the MOM fee and insurance, sometimes the agency route works out closer in price than expected.
