AIA Maternity Insurance?

A friend of mine got the AIA maternity plan during her pregnancy and said the coverage gave her peace of mind, especially for the baby's congenital conditions coverage from birth. She felt it was worth it mainly because getting a new infant policy after birth can sometimes mean exclusions if anything shows up, whereas the maternity plan locks in some coverage early. That said, she did mention the premiums are not the cheapest, so it really depends on your budget and how much coverage you already have under your own plan. Worth sitting down with an advisor to compare what is actually covered versus what you might already have, so you are not doubling up unnecessarily.
