Checkup! Private or Gov?

Ammi started my pregnancy journey with private entities. Thought that it will give me peace of mind without thinking of queuing, time, and more. But, it was not so good experience. They will just monitor the baby's condition without seriously taking care or monitoring Ammi's health. Maybe... I chose the wrong entities. Then after few research and discussion with abah, we decided to go for KK "ibu &anak" checkup. Baby FA was 18 weeks during that time. Allah eases the journey to register at KK Dengkil. The nurses were kind and understanding. I thought dah nak kena bebel dah as what rumors about KK's treatment. But I was wrong! It was late for Ammi to "buka buku" but after explaining to the nurses, they understand and started doing full check-ups on me. It was hectic! tooks 3 quarters of the day to settle down. Phew! Don't ask me about the time taken to just wait my turn.. Allahuuu.. But Ammi always find something to keep myself motivated to come for the checkup which I'll share in the next post!

Wah, so glad you shared this because honestly ramai mums like us also go through this private vs gov dilemma, and your experience is so relatable! The waiting at KK memang legendary (haha), tapi the difference is they benar-benar check YOU, not just the baby, a few of my mum friends switched over halfway through pregnancy and said the same thing, the private doctors just focus on ultrasound and baby, tapi your health condition? Macam secondary je. Syukur you found a good team at KK Dengkil, those kind nurses really make the difference, especially when you explained the situation to them; at least you're getting proper monitoring now for both you and baby FA. Looking forward to your next post on how you stay motivated!
