Are the adult moisturizer ok for babies?

It is important to look at the content of the product. I would go for something that is fragrance free and petroleum free ideally possible. I would avoid steroids based products as much as possible unless prescribed by doctor. I would also avoid steroid cream if there is any open wounds.
