My daughter pun went through something similar at that age, banyak "bahasa alien" tapi faham arahan, and alhamdulillah she caught up well after some time. That said, it would be worth visiting a paediatrician or asking for a referral to a speech therapist just to get a proper assessment, sebab they can guide you so much better than we mummies can, and earlier is always better if support is needed. Please don't worry too much yet, you know your child best, and the fact that he or she understands instructions is already a good sign.
