Refused to eat

My 2years 8months doesn’t want to eat in school. I am suspecting he like dry texture food that wet food. But I cannot tell school to change his meal anyway. How can I get him to eat? Also I admit at home when he don’t want to eat I give him some screen time. Mostly likely he don’t eat in school due to no screen time. What can I do

Aiyoh this is such a common struggle lah, you are definitely not alone in this! The screen time thing at home is quite common but yes it can become a habit where they associate eating with screen time, so slowly try to wean off that at home first by distracting with conversation or toys instead during mealtimes. Maybe also talk to the school teacher to see if they can encourage him more during mealtimes, and at home try to expose him to similar wet food textures that school serves so he gets more used to it, because toddlers this age are very predictable one, what they eat at home they more likely to accept outside also!
