- 2025-04-01Im currently 13th weeks pregnant and previously got referred from polyclinic under (subsided pt). Been to SGH O&G check twice. However, both consultations were seen by different young doctors who did not share a lot of information with me. I heard there're antenatal care packages (10 months scan & Class ward, delivery package etc) given for some people. Wondering if I can select my own doctor? How should I go about?

Today, my stool is black, i did not do anything different or change my diet. Is this a cause of concern? Additional info, i have GDM during pregnancy. #Needadvice #firsttimemom

- 2025-04-02This is my second pregnancy. The first pregnancy was super smooth sailing without many symptoms.
Currently 5 weeks. The following symptoms all feel new to me. Earlier once in a while I'll have some nausea feelings. But it stopped. Suddenly these two days I'm feeling very very under the weather. Once in a while I have this feeling of puking but nothing happens in the end. Not even dry vomiting. It stopped for a while, then happened again.
I just have a very bad feeling that I'll be experiencing extreme nausea soon. Has anyone had such similar symptoms before? Or does anyone nausea come at a later stage?

- 2025-04-03Hello everyone, it’s my first time being a mum and I want to hire a nanny that preferably has been shared through word of mouth and from an agency for extra assurance. Anybody has recommendations? Best if nanny can cook well and not too bossy 😅 my edd is end-sep and many nannies are booked already so low key worried. Thanks!
- 2025-04-03It’s known that cockroaches can even survive the nuclear bomb explosion. Imagine getting rid of such pests that can enter the property from anywhere. These are among the most unwelcoming pests in any food establishment. They’re not only repulsive to customers; they pose serious health risks as well. They carry harmful bacteria, contaminate food, and can trigger allergic reactions. For any food business in Singapore, it is a must to have effective cockroach pest control to maintain hygiene, protect the business's reputation, and comply with food safety regulations.

- 2025-04-04Hello! Does anyone know when’s the best time to switch to private route? I’m currently under subsidised route in KKH and my previous appointment made me question, if I really had to waste this much time just to get to an appointment which lasted under 5 mins.
For context, I’m 15 weeks 4 days today and I left KKH after 4 hours of doing nothing but just waiting :D hurts my butt I’m not gonna lie.
For my previous pregnancies, I was with Dr Heng at Parkway East Hospital and the waiting time wasn’t this bad (45min-1hr) so it was a culture shock for me when I had to wait this long just to see Dr to get my blood test results and listen to baby’s heartbeat. Not even a scan. It felt like I waited for so long and came back with nothing. Totally not worth my time!!! On top of that, I must have caught some virus while lingering around the hospital for hours and I’ve been feeling awful for 2 days now. Even my 18 mth old daughter is down with fever.
Enough with ramblings, I’m actually more drawn to Dr Ada Ng, a close friend of mine recommended her for being empathetic and thoughtful which is what I feel like is the most important aspect for a mummy-to-be. Does anyone know what her charges are like? And if there’s a package, how much does she charge you? I’m also open recommendations to other doctors in KKH. TYIA!
