- 2024-11-12Hi all, how did you decide between enrolling baby into infant care vs hiring a helper to care for baby after the maternity & paternity leave ends? I’m leaning towards infant care as it’s specialized care for baby and it will provide stimulation to the baby while my husband prefers hiring a helper since it will be 1-1 care plus helper can help with chores. We can rotate our wfh to ensure that at least one of us will be home with the helper but I still feel that we will be distracted by work and the helper’s care for baby will just be basic care…the longer husband and I discuss this, the slower we are in getting a space for our baby in the ideal infant care near our home…

I'm on my 2nd pregnancy (7 weeks now, we've been trying for a year and finally preggie) so naturally i'm more worried as compared to my 1st pregnancy (not much trying and preggie) Also with my 2nd pregnancy i don't have much preggie symptoms like nausea, backaches, reflux other than fatigue and mild breast soreness. My 1st preggie was vomitting 24/7! I'm worried cause it felt like the baby's 'not in me' as it's not making me nausea etc. Also i keep seeing ppl having miscarriages so i'm even more worried until my every appointment with scans when i see the baby then i felt better.. Anyone faces the same dilemma as me? 😭 #pregnancy

- 2024-11-13Hi! Im about 10 weeks pregnant and I've been desperately craving sashimi and salmon ikura. I've ate grilled salmon but it didnt satisfy my cravings and I vomitted it out after an hour. My menses came back 1 month pp and has been regular throughout.
My menses just ended in early November, and yesterday 12/11, I started bleeding again. Originally it was spotting, and today it's like 1st day menses all over again... :(

To clarify further, it was a natural delivery with epidural.
Baby bill separate 2k, and there's also additional charges for delivery suite which I paid 1k plus for that.

- 2024-11-13Hi momsies. First of all sorry for the disturbing picture but i really need advice. Im 38w+3 today. Since yesterday i had this milky yellowish discharge. Sometimes it looks like phlegm. And this morning half of my pantiliner was quite full of it. It came out after i got up from squatting down. It does have a bit of smell that wasn't nice to me. Is it infections or mucous discharge?

- 2024-11-13After researching and sampling trial meals from different companies, I decided on Thomson Nutri's 28-day confinement meal package, expecting consistent quality. While the trial meal was flavorful with a balanced salt level, the actual meals have been extremely disappointing. Here’s my experience:
1. Excessive Saltiness: The meals are consistently too salty, far more than what was offered in the trial. This high level of saltiness leaves me feeling excessively thirsty after each meal.
2. Misleading Sodium Claims: On their website, Thomson Nutri claims their meals use "no sodium salt." However, when I provided feedback on the saltiness, I was informed that sea salt was used, which, to my understanding, is still a form of sodium salt. My request for further clarification was brushed off with a standard response, which was disappointing.
3. Repetitive Meals: Despite the advertised variety, dishes are often repeated with only minor changes. Many meals have fancy names, which can be misleading; the dishes are nearly identical, with only slight ingredient swaps.
4. Cleanliness and Hygiene Concerns: Thomson Nutri allows customers to pour away any leftovers in the thermal containers and place them in the carrier. Unfortunately, the thermal bag often has a strong, unpleasant odor—almost like trash—likely due to overnight residue and insufficient cleaning before reuse. This odor has affected my appetite and overall enjoyment of the meals and it also makes me question if their hygiene standards meet NEA guidelines for food hygiene.
5. Value for Price: Thomson Nutri’s package is on the pricier side, yet it offers less variety (1 meat, 1 vegetable, and 1 soup) in smaller portions than other confinement meal services.
6. Rude Delivery Driver: The confinement period is already stressful enough, and having to deal with a rude delivery driver twice a day is not appreciated.
I find myself not looking forward to the meals each day, and my appetite has significantly decreased. The only positive is that the meals are usually delivered on time, so I can expect them at a consistent time each day. I’m sharing this review to help expectant mothers make an informed decision, as my experience contrasts sharply with the overly favorable reviews I found online.

Doctor suspect she might have eczema so Im abit hesitant to introduce certain food as Im afraid she might flare up.. I’m also going holiday soon, so Im not sure what to feed her when Im away as most baby food contains oats and rice which I read that eczema babies should avoid? TIA!
