2024-03-25Hello mummies, my LO one is 11 weeks old and his daily milk intake has dropped significantly suddenly. He is 4.9kg, and is usually taking in about 800-900ml (80-120ml per feed) of expressed breast milk daily. However, it has been dropping since 3 days ago (about 670ml, 50-100ml per feed). Feeding him has been very tough as he kept refusing to drink it/fall asleep while drinking. He is still having at least 6 wet diapers but hasn’t poop since yesterday. Any tips?

2024-03-25Does any of your MIL (chinese) likes to call herself Mama to your baby? Typically for chinese the grandmother at father side is called Ah Mah. But she double the last word to make it sound Mama. I have been very uncomfortable with it and have voiced out my frustration to my hubby. But he dismissed it as he thought its just a small and stingy issue. I also couldn't possibly say it in her face to say Stop asking baby to call u Mama as I don't dare. Somemore she is taking care of my baby 24/7 hence I'm scared that my baby really call her mama next time. What should I do?

2024-03-25I feel so jealous seeing my spouse can sleep soundly like a sleeping beauty,, while me having insomnia issue,, tossing right, left I can't get a good sleep... Feeling breathless most of the time.. Just because this is my 5th pregnancy can't I rant??? On top of that having company issue,, they unhappy I took unpaid leave alot and just creating my breathless issue to gain people sympathy 😢😢😢😢.. Spouse is not being supportive. 2024-03-26Just some advice on what to do. My first pregnancy and at week 6 based on EDD. Just keep thinking little one is here at wrong time. 1. company during restructuring now and I just worked for 3mths... 2. Diabetic so need to change to Insulin and keep checking on blood sugar. At least 4 times inject myself and 11 times take blood test.. which previously all by medications. Sugar keeps up & down. Have to keep gng to clinic 3. Management not supportive, tell me cannot take leave on weekday. 4. Keep having bleeding issue 5. Food control cause of diabetes & pregnancy 6. Hubby also don't wanna listen to me 7. Financial burden I know negative thoughts are bad for little one but I can't seems to control. What should I do?#adviceplease
2024-03-26Any mummies giving their baby similac total comfort formula? My baby has rashes on his face for 2 weeks + now and we decided to change from friso to similac. However we notice a big change in his diaper change. In past 24hrs he didnt poop at all. Is this normal? Does anyone encounter same issue? As for Friso he poop at least 5 times in 24hrs…. 2024-03-26Are you still having sex frequently during pregnancy? My husband never seems to rest... always asking for it almost every night. He says he's "saving up" before we have to stop after childbirth. Honestly, I'm tired, but I feel bad rejecting him. Sometimes my stomach cramps, but my husband promises to be gentle. I had a little bleeding once, but when I checked with the doctor, everything was fine, and I was advised to rest. After that, my husband asked again. How often is it actually okay to have sex during pregnancy?
2024-03-26I just want to share to clear my mind... This is my f6th pregnancy, after experiencing five miscarriages before... Honestly, from being excited initially, now I feel more bored and numb, even thinking that this pregnancy might fail again... But it turns out we're holding on, and now it's almost 6 months. But my mental state is really shattered, I'm afraid to do anything, even the pressure from my family is immense. If anything happens, they will blame me, as they did before. The doctor said my pregnancy is weak and I really need to be on bed rest. Has anyone experienced the same thing?
2024-03-26I left my baby alone at home for a few minutes to grab something from the store nearby. he was asleep tho... Now, I'm feeling incredibly guilty. 😔 Am I a bad mother for leaving my baby alone, even for just a short errand? I've never done this before, usually, i will take him wherever but he was so fussy and cried a lot that day meanwhile i need to get this thing done. And now I can't shake off this feeling of guilt. I dont know what to do... I might not be privileged enough to have someone accompanying my baby while i was away. so really dont know what to do.
2024-03-26My baby often falls ill. Whether it's fever, flu, cough, or sometimes vomiting... Before having a child, I learned a lot about baby health and how to handle unexpected situations like this. I was quite calm and prepared. But, my mother-in-law who lives with us always blames me. She says my breast milk is bad, of poor quality. She even wants to give my baby honey -- but of course I forbid it! And she blames me. She wants to give my baby coffee because she thinks it can prevent seizures due to fever. I once told my husband about this, but when he reprimanded her, my mother-in-law got angry and said I wasn't a good mother.
2024-03-26My baby is only 5 months old. I've been using an IUD and felt safe... until suddenly I felt nauseous after eating my husband's homemade omelet. Sure enough, I'm pregnant again 😭 I'm thinking of terminating this pregnancy because I'm not ready for another child. I'm experiencing quite severe baby blues. 2024-03-26Hi fellow mummies, I’m currently 11 weeks pregnant and I never used to have serious pimple outbreaks but now my whole face is filled with pimple + pimple scars & at the same time I realised my hair growth have increased a lot (even my tummy is extra hairy when it never used to have). 🥲 I know it’s possibly hormone changes but just wondering does this happen to everyone?
2024-03-26During the day my 12 weeks old baby play well, eat well, naps well. She also sleep very well at night, only wake up when hungry and will sleep back after feeding. However every time wanting to put her to sleep is a challenge, she will cry and cry non stop. Myself and my hubby cannot console her to sleep, only my helper can. However my baby prefer to sleeps with me. Im confused
2024-03-26I’m constantly having recurrent yeast infection and I’ve visited >3 different doctors over the past 2 years but no one can really solve it. I have tried everything I can (whatever doc said/whatever google can find). Does anyone else has such experience before too and has suggestions to share? Thank you.
2024-03-26Hi parents. Does dulac stage 1 for newborn doesn't really make baby full? My baby drinks every 1.5 hours. I think my first born drank a diff brand and can stay full for up to 2 3 hours.

2024-03-27I just felt my baby flutters at the start of the week. And it got more in the past 2 days. But I went for my 20 week ultrasound and found out the location of my placenta, the day of my doctor visit my baby was not moving as much compared to the previous days but baby was healthy and doing really well in my womb. With the anterior position, does it mean its hard for me to feel my baby? How do I know if the baby is safe if i cant really feel?

2024-03-27I had a 18hrs bleeding on my 4w3d and with cramps for first 6hrs. I rushed to hospital yesterday which is on 4w4d to be exact. It’s was brownish red blood with some webs lookalike mucus. HCG level was from 642iu/l on 4w to 1930iu/l from yesterday blood test results. Doc did some ultrasounds but nothing can be found in my womb other than fibroids. I was asked for a follow up in 48hrs to check on my beta HCG if it decreases. Anyone has the same experience? Pls advise.

2024-03-27Hello mummies. When did u all did ur growth scan? Is it complusary? Ask ny gynae what scan i will be doing next visit at 31 wk. He said ultrasound scan & as usual he will be the one doing the scan. Does not sound like a growth scan

2024-03-27Was warded due to blood flow and baby is too small 29 weeks pregnancy. Just curious has anyone ever waited for birth instead of forcing out the baby by csect due to baby not growing so well? I wanted a normal delivery but doctor said that if baby is too small, the baby needs to be forced out by next week and will need to continue baby's growth in the ICU once she's out. Any opinions or suggestions on this?
2024-03-27My baby is a preterm baby born at 33rd week ,now she is 14 months old(actual age) she almost hit all the milestones ,she started walking 2 months before and started speaking also like 5,6 words and understands everything,abut she still have no teeth yet,my mom used to say that i have my first teeth on my 20 months but i do all activities .has anyone experienced this before? Her hair and nails are growing too fast but no teeth,pls reply mommies
2024-03-27hi mommies I’m currently 17 weeks and I can’t feel my baby at all. Usually I so feel little movements and all but now I completely don’t feel anything. And I noticed I always wake up lying on my back , and I’m always sleeping so late because of insomnia and I feel so guilty. My next appointment is on 15th April🥲 still a long way to go. What should I do or how do I make baby move more!!!

2024-03-27Ftm here. Due in Jun. I have already paid deposit for a confinement many with an agency and in the process of hiring a helper. Both husb and me are working full time and our parents are sickly. So we have no help at all. Been reading reviews on nanny and helper and now thinking if I should just risk it and DIY instead of taking the risk that I might have 2 more trouble instead. My husband is the lazy, unhygienic type. He can't even wash anything properly. Caught him not using any detergent when washing utensils. He just rinse his cup with water. My nepresso milk frother had stains after he claimed he had washed it. I am not confident of the helper although interviewed her twice. She has a child but her child was brought up by her mum as she went to another state to work one month after giving birth. Lastly I feel that the house is so small already.. 90sqm. It is starting to get so cluttered with all the baby stuff. How can we accommodate 3 more pax...

2024-03-27Feeling abit paranoid due to light bleeding which comes and goes. Gynae would say increase the dosage of duphaston when bleeding and reduce when stop. My next appt is like 1 mth's time.
2024-03-28Shouldn't be worried right baby have not come out still at 39weeks.. People around me be asking when im giving birth. Giving me the pressure. I already do wtv i could to natural induce, walking etc. Still no contraction coming. on false contraction. Don't stress us mommies to be, when the baby want to come out it will.
2024-03-28Hello, I’m currently 11+ weeks pregnant and am exploring some maternity insurance. It’s my first pregnancy and am 30 years old this year. Just wondering if any mums have advice on whether I should buy maternity insurance since my FA did tell me it’s not necessary for me since I’m “still young”, might not have as many complications as ladies who are older and pregnant. 2024-03-28No heartbeat was found in the ultrasound.. based on size it appears the baby stopped growing at 6 weeks when i should have been 9.5 weeks pregnant.. i have to wait for 2 weeks for a second ultrasound or to see if i bleed out.. its not been called a missed miscarriage yet by the doctor but i have been told not to be too hopeful either.. I feel so upset.. why did this happen to me.. i took such good care.. i made lifestyle changes, i ate healthy, i took prenatals 6 months prior.. i did everything by the book.. people around me are having babies left right and centre.. some without even trying.. some drinking well into the first trimester.. i know this sounds petty, but i just cant stop thinking about it.. i feel weepy randomly at work.. i dont feel like meeting anyone coz they all talk about thier kids.. anyone who experienced this how long did it take for u to fully heal?#adviceplease
2024-03-28In my first ultrasound at 7 weeks, there was no heartbeat found, however since the yolk sac was very strong the doc wanted to give the benefit of doubt.. 2 weeks later in the 2nd ultrasound the fetus had grown slightly but again no heartbeat.. due to this growth in the 2 weeks i have been called in for a 3rd ultrasound and the doc refuses to call it a missed miscarriage.. im fed up of these disappointing hospital visits.. how long does it take to naturally bleed out in a missed miscarriage??#adviceplease
2024-03-28ftm here w a 3 months baby and recently hired a helper. didn't want her to tc my baby therefore mainly only doing household chores and cooking. but at the same time, for a 4 room flat, there isn't much chores to do throughout the day. most of the times she asked to rest once she has completed her chores and cooking. what shld I do? seems like the $ is wasted becos there's nth much for her to do.
2024-03-28I cried everyday during my first trimester. I was so sensitve and emotionally wreck during the period. Is it okay to cry everyday? Will it affect my baby? Is it normal to have a such emotional changes.
2024-03-28Hi mumsies! I'm at week 38, and I've been given another week to try to naturally dilate before I get induced. I'm afraid, cos I've heard horrible, painful stories from those who have been induced. If you have been induced before, how was the experience like for you? What part of the induction hurt so bad? For those who weren't induced, what helped with natural dilation? I know sex, squats, walking and curb-walking help, and I'm gonna do them daily for the next 7 days 😂 Edit (update!): I didn't get induced! I had my bloody show at week 38 day 2, after a cervical check, and had contractions the next day. Went to admit myself on Sunday afternoon cos I was having contractions 6-10mins apart. Stayed overnight and was guided by nurses to do lots of walks around the ward and also do deep sumo squats (5x10 secs each)! I feel that helped. I had also been drinking the raspberry leaf tea as well as dates daily. Our bundle of joy came out on 1 April! 😍
2024-03-28My baby girl is 5.1kg at 16weeks original pd mentioned she is underweight and have to take apeton to up her weight. But we visited another pd and he said baby growth is normal and not underweight. Baby is on full bottlefed bm but doesn’t like to drink much milk and drinks about 590-620ml per day. But first pd said baby should alr be drinking 900ml per day. Although second pd say anywhere between 500-700ml per day is okay. Baby is very happy and hitting all her milestones well, in fact she is hitting her milestone faster than her age. But people around keep commenting on her size and it makes me very stressed out and angry. People keep asking why she is not chubby despite being on bm and it’s getting very annoying. She still have rolls on her arms and thighs but just not very chubby. It is normal? #adviceplease

2024-03-28Husband went on holiday with his fam leaving me to take care of our newborn alone. Although i know the trip is already pre planned but i can’t help but feel upset that he still chose to go for the trip. Especially when i am extremely drained looking after baby plus doing chores. I can’t help but feel angry when i think about how much he is enjoying himself while i am so tired here. Am i bad for feeling this way?

According to my period tracking app I should be having my period on 12 March Some info… my last period was on 26 January. Intimate on 25 Feb & 10 March 😂 First tested very very faint positive on 17 March with clear blue ultra early. Took the clear blue digital test 20th March and was 1-2 weeks pregnant. Took again on 27th March and it already became 3+ weeks pregnant 🤨 Any inputs will be appreciated! Thank you.

2024-03-30Anyone has the same situation that the EDD change? Based on my 1st day last period should be 3 Feb and supposed to be 8 weeks but just their estimation. 2 weeks ago my edd is 15 Nov, doctor say about 5+6 weeks. This week changed to 20-22 Nov. Doctor say smaller than his expectation, now seems to be 6 weeks only. But baby still did grow from last scan. But I believe I conceive during 13 to 22 Feb only. So what's right what's wrong? I'm confused and worry.

2024-03-30We went for injection today. The doctor commented on how my baby is still not saying words like “mama papa” and waving goodbye or pointing at objects. 2024-03-30Hello everyone i just finished antibiotics for my UTI and think it's getting better... as peeing is not as painful. However i've been getting very bad itch in my vulva area and wondering if it's related to UTI? If not, is there anything I can do to reduce the itch? 😭 Thanks in advance
