- 2024-03-04Hey everyone,
I hope you're all doing well. I wanted to reach out because I've been feeling down lately, and I could really use some support from fellow moms who might understand what I'm going through.
I recently gave birth to my beautiful baby, and while I'm overjoyed to have this little bundle of love in my life, I can't help but feel incredibly unhappy with my postpartum body. I know it's normal for our bodies to change during and after pregnancy, but I'm really struggling to accept the changes I see in the mirror.
Before pregnancy, I used to feel confident and comfortable in my own skin, but now I just feel self-conscious and ashamed of how my body looks. The stretch marks, the extra weight, the loose skin... it's all been really difficult for me to come to terms with. There was a short period of time when I even hated my baby for this. I felt like he's the one causing all these stress for me.
I find myself comparing my body to other moms who seem to have "bounced back" so quickly after giving birth, and it only makes me feel worse about myself. I know I shouldn't be so hard on myself, but it's hard not to feel this way when society puts so much pressure on women to look a certain way, especially after having a baby.
I want to be the best mom I can be for my baby, but it's hard to feel confident and empowered when I'm constantly battling negative thoughts about my appearance.
Has anyone else experienced similar feelings after giving birth? How did you cope with them? I could really use some advice, encouragement, or just someone to talk to who understands what I'm going through.

- 2024-03-04Hey everyone,
I'm feeling really unsettled lately and I need some advice. My husband has this habit of making jokes that honestly, leave me feeling pretty sad.
He often teases about selling me to his friends for some extra cash, and while I know he's just trying to be funny, it's starting to weigh on me. It's like he says it so often that it's lost its humor, and I can't help but feel a twinge of sadness every time.
What's worse is that he seems to think it's okay because it's all in good fun. But it's not fun for me. It's starting to make me question whether he respects me or our relationship.
To make matters worse, he knows I find some of his friends attractive, and he jokes about selling me to them. It's triggering in a way, and I'm not sure how to address it without starting an argument.
Am I overreacting? Should I just brush it off like he does? Or is it time for a serious conversation? I could really use some guidance here.
Thanks for listening.
Feeling Unsettled Wife
- 2024-03-04My husband and I have a beautiful 7-month-old baby, and while we both love our little one dearly, I can't help but feel like the responsibilities of parenthood are falling disproportionately on me.
It seems like no matter what, I'm always the one who's on call for our baby. Whether it's feeding in the middle of the night, soothing during a meltdown, or managing the day-to-day tasks of childcare, it's like I'm the default parent.
Meanwhile, my husband still seems to have the freedom to go out with friends, focus on his career, and pursue his interests without having to consider the baby. And while I'm happy that he's able to maintain some semblance of his pre-baby life, it's hard not to feel a little resentful when I'm the one who's constantly tethered to our little one's needs.
I know that communication is key in any relationship, but I'm hesitant to bring this up with my husband because I don't want to create conflicts or hurt feelings. I worry that expressing my frustrations will only lead to arguments and further strain on our relationship.
Has anyone else experienced similar feelings in their own journey through parenthood? How have you managed to navigate the division of roles and responsibilities with your partner without causing tension?
- 2024-03-04Hi all. I’m currently TTC and I’ve missed my period for about 3 weeks now. Did several tests and it’s all negative.
I realized that I’m feeling lightheaded on several days, a lot of cramping and I sleep a lot more nowadays.
I’m not expecting much, though. I could’ve have just ovulated late hence the late period. But, which doctor do you all recommend for me to get checked in case my period really does not come and test negative again in the next week. Please help, thank you.

- 2024-03-04Hi mummies, I'm supposed to be in my 6w going 7w. Over the weekend, I started to bleed on Sat night. I hurried over to KKH and did my first scan. For the first time, I saw my embryo sac. Sunday came, the bleeding didn't stop. This morning, I visited the polyclinic to get a referral letter, the doctor didn't do much. And told me if im still pregnant, i should still get the pregnancy symptoms like nausea and vomitting.
When I was home, I felt a strong cramp when went to pee. As I wipe myself, I saw a dark red clot with some white mucus. At this point, I was scared. I made an appt with a gynae. At noon, I did another ultrasound, this time, my womb is empty. The doctor checked twice and I showed him the clot pic. He confirmed I had a complete abortion. This is my first pregnancy. :(

- 2024-03-04Hello mommies! I’m currently 5-6 weeks pregnant. This is my 2nd pregnancy.
Lately, i’ve been having chest pain on my left side. Is this related to pregnancy? Is there any other mommies who experienced this too? Would love to hear your experience.

- 2024-03-04dear mommies
i just gv birth 3 weeks ago. and i have 2 more kids at home, aged 3 yr and 2 yr old. i feel that im a failed mommy, cos i want to be there for everyone at home. i get highly stressed out when my LO cries. i havent get enough sleep and my husb would expect me to play with my toddlers running around - when im still in the midst of confinement. i have stitches aft labout but because of them i chose to not fear and act strong like nothing happened / no pain.
sometimes i feel overstimulated that i’d scream and shout at my 2 kids. but i’d apologise immediately aft the mom guilt kicks in. i dont know what im feeling but im def burnt out right now. i hired a helper but i just find that she has zero knowledge handling kids (eventho her portfolio shows she worked with kids before) in the end i did most of the work like bathing the kids and chores. sians.
thank you for taking the time to read this. i just want a space to rant on.

- 2024-03-05I feel compelled to share my recent experience with all of you, especially expecting mothers out there who might be going through something similar. Pregnancy is supposed to be a beautiful journey, but sometimes it can take unexpected turns.
I started experiencing severe morning sickness early on in my pregnancy. At first, I brushed it off as a normal part of the process. I mean, we've all heard about morning sickness, right? But as the weeks went by, it only seemed to get worse. I couldn't keep anything down, not even water, and it was affecting every aspect of my life.
I tried all the usual remedies – ginger tea, crackers by the bedside, small frequent meals – but nothing seemed to alleviate the nausea and vomiting. I was constantly fatigued, dehydrated, and miserable. Yet, I kept telling myself, "This is just part of being pregnant. It'll get better soon."
But it didn't get better. In fact, it got worse. One day, the vomiting became so severe that I started experiencing intense abdominal pain. Terrified, I rushed to the hospital, where they discovered something devastating – I was losing my baby.
Turns out, what I thought was "normal" morning sickness was actually a severe condition called hyperemesis gravidarum, which can lead to dehydration, malnutrition, and in severe cases, miscarriage. I wish I had known about this earlier. I wish I had sought help sooner.
I'm sharing my story not to scare anyone, but to raise awareness. If you're experiencing excessive vomiting during pregnancy, please don't ignore it like I did. Talk to your healthcare provider immediately. It could save you and your baby from unnecessary pain and heartache.

- 2024-03-05Hi, parents. I'd like some guidance. Right now, my child, who is roughly 2 years and 2 months old, is in N1. Teachers have been reporting to me on a frequent basis that my child has a tendency to scratch his friend's face when he is upset. He can pronounce a few words, but some of them might not sound very clear, but he is not extremely vocal at the time. Because he was unable to articulate his emotions verbally, he reacted physically. I attempted to explain to him why that was bad, but I don't think he got the message. How do I teach him not to do that?
- 2024-03-05Hi I'm in my 11 weeks and I suddenly have red itchy flare ups at the corner of my mouth and around the lower lip / chin area. I don't have history of eczema as well.

- 2024-03-06Every time she sees anyone carrying my baby to sleep she would say that we are spoiling her- since the day my baby was born. It’s so frustrating. She doesn’t understand that babies get grumpy when overtired too so she would play with my baby even when she’s too tired and then complain when my baby gets grumpy?! And says she’s spoilt.
- 2024-03-06Like put in the cot then baby can just sleep on their own.. do we need to sleep train baby? I heard from 4 months can start? Now baby is about 14 weeks old. For now still need to carry to sleep but my mother keeps saying Shouldnt….

- 2024-03-06My boy is 1 month old & recently, my parents said I shouldn't wipe his face or shower him while he's asleep. I should wait for his awake window and shower him. But the concern I have is what if by the time he wakes up, the weather gets too cold for a shower. I tried waking him up but he's too drunk to even open his eyes.
If this is true, what is the rationale?
- 2024-03-06Hi Mummies out there! How’s ur 8month old daily schedule? How many naps do they take? How many times are u all feeding pureed food?
- 2024-03-06My LO having diarrhoea since last week. Visited PD and he gave probiotics and a Smecta (anti-diarrhoea). Which i fed a 2 days but yet the diarrhoea still persist. LO majority poo every feed and in-between feeds. One day can change about 7-8 times or more.
Diaper rashes occured very easily since LO will poo anytime. Any other things I can do to help to stop or improve LO condition? Otherwise she always gets diaper rashes at infant care.
She drinks and eat normally so we can ensure that she will not be dehydrated.
(We also sent her stool to PD for testing and waiting for the outcome)

- 2024-03-08Hi All,
I've been pumping for 3 weeks now, with the milk supply averaging 90-120ml per 30mins pump session currently. I pump every 3 hours now.
However, I am keen to increase milk supply per pump. Is it encouraged to decrease the frequency of pump session as I am not getting sufficient rest (confinement nanny told me to stretch it to 4 hours).
My baby is 3 weeks, 5kg and already drinking 110ml breast milk per feed during the day. He drinks formula at night as it makes him fuller and sleep longer (as recommended by confinement nanny).
Please help 🥺

- 2024-03-08I’ve had a miscarriage before and is 8wks pregnant now hence my anxiety is sky high while waiting for my 10 wk scan. How do new mummies cope with this anxiety since a Doppler won’t work this early too? ):
- 2024-03-08My baby drank my amniotic fluid. I couldn't help but blame myself.
As a mother-to-be, when I heard the doctor's serious tone in my labor process, my heart sank. My baby had swallowed some of the amniotic fluid, which had turned green because of his poop (at least that was all i know). It was scary because we hadn't even met yet, and things were already going wrong....
I felt all sorts of emotions—scared, guilty, and desperate. How could something as normal as giving birth turn into a fight for my baby's life? The idea of losing him before I even got to hold him was too much to bear.
The medical team rushed around, and each moment felt like forever. I prayed like never before, hoping for a miracle to keep my little one safe. It felt like we were racing against time, and my worry just grew and grew.
Then, finally, I heard his cries—a beautiful sound that filled the room with relief. Tears of joy streamed down my face as I held him close. I was so grateful that he had made it through.
But our journey wasn't over yet. My baby had to go to the NICU, and it broke my heart to see him hooked up to all those machines. Every day was a rollercoaster of emotions, but I stayed strong for him, knowing that he was a fighter who had already overcome so much.
If you are going to give birth, please do not ignore any signs whatsoever because it could be a dangerous signal regarding your baby. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone...
- 2024-03-08Being a mom was supposed to be the happiest time of my life, or so they said. But for me, it felt like I was living in a foggy dream. From the moment my baby was born, I struggled to feel that magical bond everyone talks about.
As I held my little one in my arms, I felt a mix of emotions—overwhelmed, exhausted, and yes, a little scared. But where was that overwhelming rush of love that everyone talked about? Instead, I felt like a stranger in my own body, unsure of how to connect with this tiny human I had brought into the world.
Days turned into weeks, and still, the bond I longed for seemed elusive. I went through the motions—feeding, changing diapers, trying to soothe the cries—but it all felt mechanical, devoid of the warmth and connection I craved.
I watched other moms effortlessly cuddle and coo with their babies, wondering what I was doing wrong. Was I just not cut out for this motherhood thing? The guilt gnawed at me, adding to the weight of my doubts and insecurities.
am i normal??????? please help
- 2024-03-08Becoming a parent for the first time was both exhilarating and terrifying. From the moment I held my precious bundle of joy in my arms, I knew that this journey would be filled with ups and downs, laughter and tears, and countless lessons along the way.
Like many new parents, I made my fair share of mistakes—some small, some not-so-small—but each one taught me valuable lessons about love, patience, and the art of parenthood.
One of my earliest mistakes was underestimating the power of sleep deprivation. In those sleepless nights filled with endless feedings and soothing cries, I found myself teetering on the edge of exhaustion. I thought I could power through on sheer willpower alone, but soon realized that self-care isn't just a luxury—it's a necessity.
Another mistake I made was trying to do it all on my own. As a fiercely independent person, I thought I could handle everything that parenthood threw my way without asking for help. But as the days turned into weeks and the weeks into months, I found myself overwhelmed and burnt out. It was only when I reached out to my support network—family, friends, and other parents—that I discovered the power of community and the importance of leaning on others in times of need.
But perhaps the biggest mistake I made was doubting myself. In those moments of uncertainty and self-doubt, I questioned whether I was doing enough, whether I was a good enough parent for my child. But with time, I learned to trust my instincts and embrace the unique journey of parenthood that was unfolding before me.
Has anyone experienced the same thing?

- 2024-03-08I got so frustrated.. Is it really a must to bottle feed or latch baby in the dark using a night light as well for changing diaper? Feel so difficult to see and do with minimal light. Can we use the ceiling warm light instead? Also after bottle feed or latch if baby sleep already do we need to check on their diaper or just let them sleep?
- 2024-03-09Hi mommies! FTM here. May I seek your advice and recommendation for postnatal massage service pls?
Unds it is usually cheaper to sign up as a bundle together with basic confinement package but I am genuinely curious if those massage services provided by confinement agency are really helpful for getting rid of wind & toxic/body slimming/uterus reposition etc? As some claim that they are more for “body relaxation”.
