2023-01-30Gave birth via vacuum delivery. Couldn't urine so had to be on a catheter for a week initially, followed by 2 weeks and now another 2 more weeks. 1 month of confinement coming to an end and not able to rest and take care of my baby well. 2023-01-30Hi Mummies, have you ever experienced frequent Brixton hicks contractions? I’m currently in 32 weeks and have been experiencing BH contractions every half an hour. It has been going on over a week already. They are mild and bearable. I know BH contractions are normal during the third trimester but isn’t it too frequent to have it every half and hour or so?

2023-01-30I don't have bad MS. But I'd still have them. I would feel like my appetite is up and ready to eat, and I can finish a meal. But once Im finished with the meal , I'll feel sick and feel nauseous like my MS would come back. It's so bad that sometimes I would gag at the smell of food when I'm washing the dishes. 2023-01-30I don’t have bad MS like throwing up but I do experience mild nausea at times. But there was one time I threw up 30min after my breakfast which was just 2 slices of bread. That was my first vomit and there isn’t one after that. Is it normal and wondering if anyone has similar experience. Thanks!
2023-01-30I was prescribed prenatal care fish oil by my gynae, but recently i am getting very sensitive with smell hence i couldnt even swallow the fish oil (it has been 1 week) due to its smell once i put it in my mouth. 2023-01-30Looking for delivery doctor recommendation at KKH. Was informed at 15 weeks thats blood test done for FTS showed that i was at risk of developing preeclampsia. Preferably also one with experience and good stitching in case need cesarean

2023-01-31My LMP is in week 7 but the scan check was only week 5 only the gestational sac. Next appointment is 3 week later. 2 week later, I suddenly bleed alots and went to O&G at kkh. The bleeding may cause by the polyps pass out by itself. On the midnight. I feel a bit cramp and changed my pad. After changing my pad, i feel something like drop out. And it really seems like the sac has just come out by itself. This not the 1st time i having miscarriage. This my 2nd time. I had a 2 yrs old son. So when i feel something is coming out , I have already prepared for worst. Sometimes, i really ask, why me again. I know it is common, but just why me. As it feel so heartbreaking when I see the whole sac on my pad. I try to think as positive as i could but still feel so heartbreaking.

2023-02-01Hello! My LO is 5 weeks and 5 days old. He used to have severe jaundice in the first few weeks so we kept force feeding him to help him get better. Now he is 5 weeks and 5 days old and drinking 80-100mls 10 times a day, drinking about 850mls a day. The doctor at the polyclinic told us he should be drinking only about 700 mls a day. The problem is, even with 850mls, he still keeps asking for more milk and actually wails when we don’t give him. Because of this, his daytime sleep is also suffering. Please share if I’m over feeding! 🙏🏼🙏🏼

2023-02-01Hello all I need your views. The last 10 days I had very terrible appetite and very fatigue. The thought of what to eat next makes me nauseous and every smell is bad. Just this morning, I started feeling better (no longer extremely exhausted, my boobs are larger but no longer sore, and I am able to eat but still gagged out of the blue) Had my first gynae appointment in my life where my doctor told me there is only an yolk sac hence I’m at week 5 instead of 7 and prescribed me Duphaston. Is this a bad sign? I read Duphaston is to prevent miscarriages. Is my situation pessimistic? #firstbaby

2023-02-01Hello! Just curious, can 4mo baby recognise their parent left home for few days? Because during cny period, I had to be away from my baby for few nights. His caretaker (my parents) had a hard time taking care of him; fuss often, refuse to sleep in cot (usually he’s ok w it), wants to be carried always, drinking milk is ok tho. When I’m back, he welcome me with his bright smile and keep giggling 😂 everyt back to norm LOL

2023-02-02My morning sickness has been happening since week 6 and now at week 9, it seems to be slowly subsiding and I am worry as my first pregnancy end up with missed miscarriage. 2023-02-03Anybody having itchy bumps around your body? Mine started of like mosquito bites on my arm then it became red. Now the bumps spreaded to my thighs, legs and back. When not flare, it will be flat and red. When flare, the mosquito like bumps will come back. And it itch like crazy. Have tried qv, calamol lotion and cream frm dr but all doesnt help with the itch. 2023-02-03I did NIPT (since my FTS is high risk) and found out that it can also show the baby's gender. Am excited but not prepared as always thought will know only after 21 wks during the ultrasound. I am planning to do a gender reveal party so do u think is ok if i tell the gynae that i do not want to know the gender yet? (Since my main priority is the downsyndrome result). Will they still gv us the slip of paper of the gender for us to keep? Abit paiseh want ask dr to not reveal :D

2023-02-03My baby hates to be carried in a baby carrier because he couldn't spread his legs . He is 5 months old now :) He also doesn't like to sit in a stroller hais . Any mummies can recommend which brand of baby carrier is suitable for baby with short legs hahah 😆 I've been eye-ing on the ergobaby omni 360 but not sure if it is suitable for my baby legs

Low GI bread with cheese, milk and 1 hard boil egg. I'm running out of options.. The Kellogs Cornflake cereals made my reading go super high, I'm looking for LOW GI cornflakes. Actually on normal weekdays my kid is at school and nobody at home, so she just cleans the house.then when baby comes back, she will help to take care, feed ,bathe etc Can mummies who have experience share how do your set work schedule for your MDW? 2023-02-03Hi. I’m 39 weeks here. Went for my check up few days ago, did a cervix check and doctor said I have not dilated. Was told if by 40th week, I have yet to dilate, I might need to induce. May I know is there any mummies out there who were induced? FTM here :(
2023-02-03My son is turning 11 months old and he still wants milk twice at night with 3-4 hours gap in between. When he comes home from infant care, he would have his dinner, shower and play before his bedtime at 8.45pm. What can I do to slowly wean off night feed or its just fine and he will wean of on his own? He will cry for milk or just sometimes start to move here and there showing signs of wanting milk. Tried to pat him back to sleep, but it doesnt work all the time. He will eventually wake up for milk again after an hour or two of falling back to sleep. #firsttimemom #firstbaby

2023-02-04So I was playing around with my Lo's swaddle and decided to wrap her in like this for her nap as she sleeps better on us. I have the ergo 360 Omni but I feel that she is a little small for it. Is there any wraps recommended for newborn? Or should I just use the ergo? I don't wanna bring stroller out as I have anxiety going out alone with newborn 😅 and it's such a hassle esp taking public transport or cab. Any suggestions?

2023-02-04I’m struggling so much as a new mother, even though my baby is 10 months old I still struggle to balance my baby, my home and my work. I can’t help resent everyone around me, and my husband isn’t spared. I snap at everything and everyone and I’m close to shutting down. I have good days but when I have bad days it gets really bad, and my baby almost always act up on those days. I’m getting help from my parents when I’m working, but when I’m at home and I see all the chores undone and house messy, my mood dips. I always question myself why i would allow dishes and clothes unwashed, and leave the house in this state when I have a baby in the house. I blame myself constantly, and question my capacity as a mum. I don’t feel like myself anymore, it’s so hard. How do other mothers do this? Im worried I’ll be left with no one if I continue this, and my relationship with my husband will get to a point of no return.
2023-02-04Hi i am currently 11 weeks pregnant and i suddenly am having really bad morning sickness, im not able to eat anyt without vomiting it out. I was able to eat perfectly without immediately vomiting everything out for the first few weeks till today. I was only feeling nauseous and dizzy plus fatigue for the longest time. 2023-02-04Hi mommies, anyone experienced very bad morning sickness throughout the first trimester and got better in second trimester? Im currently 11 weeks and my morning sickness is still really bad. Pregnancy is really tough for me and i do not enjoy a single moment. I know they said that in 2nd trimester everything gets better and week9/10 is the peak but at 11 weeks im still feeling horrible. Sometimes i even think about not having the baby just to end my misery. Anyone feels the same?
