- 2023-11-28Hi fellow mummies,
I'm currently at weeks 14-15 of my pregnancy, and we're actively looking for a confinement nanny (for now)!
We're actually in a dilemma about whether to get a maid or a CN, as the CN will only be with us for a month, while the maid is here for the longer term. However, a maid may not be as specialized or skilled as a CN.
Any advice or recommendations from mummies who have been through this?

- 2023-11-28Hi mummies, FTM here. Today I went for gynae visit and my doctor mentioned that baby head is down at my pelvic area and I’m currently week 24. Is that normal for baby’s head to be down now already. I’ve been feeling kicks high up at my tummy area recently. #advicepls #firstbaby
- 2023-11-28hello mummies, my LO is 4 months old and recently i realised he started gasping for air on random occasions—happens more often when we’re talking/playing with him and was just wondering if we should be concerned about it… should we make an appt to see the doctor?
he seems normal as of now, still his usual self but the gasping is just a bit worrying because it’s so sudden.
- 2023-11-28I’m at 17 weeks and already showing a bump. Had an awful first trimester with lots of staying in bed. Did not really exercise as I was feeling uncomfortable. - 2023-11-29Hey mummies, I’m a first time mum and did my NIPT 3 weeks ago and I’m reviewing it with the doc this coming Saturday. For the past 3 weeks I’ve a lot of anxiety and worryness in me because I’m scared to know the outcome but at the same time eager to know the outcome as all I hope for is baby to be healthy & safe! So I wanna ask - if there’s any abnormalities in the test, will the gynae call me way before my appointment (when results have reached the clinic) to share or will it all happen only when I’m up for the review? I’m really just concerned and not sure if this happens to many first-time mums or mums-to-be in general? Thanks! #pleasehelp #advicepls

- 2023-11-29When it comes to adding a touch of sophistication, veneer doors emerge as a timeless choice. These doors, adorned with a thin layer of fine wood, seamlessly blend aesthetics with functionality.
1. Natural Aesthetics: Veneer doors capture the beauty of real wood without the hefty price tag. The thin layer of natural wood veneer showcases the intricate patterns, grains, and colors, providing a warm and inviting entry to any room.
2. Variety of Finishes: Veneer doors come in an array of finishes, allowing homeowners to select a style that complements their interior decor. From rich mahogany to elegant oak, the range of veneer options caters to diverse design preferences.
3. Versatility in Design: Whether you prefer a sleek and modern look or a more traditional aesthetic, veneer doors offer versatility in design. They can be crafted to suit various architectural styles, enhancing the overall ambiance of your living spaces.
4. Durable and Stable: Despite their thin profile, veneer doors are surprisingly durable. The underlying structure, often made from solid wood or engineered cores, ensures stability and resistance to warping, making them a practical and long-lasting choice.
5. Sustainable Choice: Veneer doors are often considered an environmentally friendly option. By using a thin layer of natural wood over a stable core, these doors maximize the use of precious timber resources.
Their ability to replicate the richness of solid wood while offering design versatility and sustainability makes them a captivating choice for those seeking timeless elegance in their home’s entryways.

- 2023-11-29My 2 months old has been having blocked/stuffy/congested nose since few weeks old. We do have sterimar spray for baby and doctor prescribed iliadin drops. Can i use both at the same time ? Use sterimar spray then use nasal aspirator then drop iliadin
- 2023-11-29My 2 months old baby is fully formula fed and since 1 month old or so he demands milk almost every 1 1/2 hours. Sometimes can be 2-3 hours also but most times during the day is 1 1/2 hours is it normal? He’s feeding on 90ml (weight 5.6kg).
Cause we went to visit his infant care before he starts and the teacher there says most of the babies there feeds every 3 hours so im worried if my baby is the only one.
Any mummies with formula fed babies feeding less than 2hrs?

- 2023-11-29I’m a 14 week first time pregnant mum with identical twins. Today I have been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and they found nodules in my thyroid which may require biopsy.
I feel so lousy about myself, my body, all the nausea, vomitting and feeling that I no longer know my body.. and I started crying uncontrollably for the first time in a long while.
Mummy’s how do y’all handle such news? And any mummy’s had hyperthyroidism and how do you handle that?

- 2023-11-30Hi mummies just want to know, when buying diapers and formula, do you usually buy them in carton/bundle/bulk? Or only buy like 2-3 packs first
I did some rough counting, 1 packet will only last more or less 10 days. Is it normal for that range.
Currently using naturemade S size (2 months old)

- 2023-11-30I feel so tired and burnt out from caring for my 2 months old baby, altho i do get help from my mum and my husband also helped alot. He auto care for baby once he reach home from work + night feedings. I cant help but to still feel tired, for some reason.
My baby will be starting infant care this week, altho my maternity leave ends end of dec. I somehow am looking forward to getting some rest once ive dropped him off to school.
And im feeling guilty for feeling this way, like im selfish? Idk. Is it normal to look forward to sending your baby to school so you can have your rest esp before maternity leave ends and itll be more chaotic once ive started work.
I know i will still feel guilty sending him so early esp when he’s only 2 months, and i would definitely cry when sending him.

- 2023-11-30Hi mummies who send their babies to IFC.
My maternity leave will only 3rd week of dec, however my 2m okd baby will be starting IFC tmr. I know that we can send and fetch them anytime, and recommended to send half day for the first few days.
How do you usually send your babies. Is it every few days in the week, for half days until when. When did you start sending them full day at ifc.
I want my baby to adapt before i start work at the same i feel so guilty for sending him full day if im still on maternity leave
#firsttimemom

- 2023-11-30Recently after my 2 year old daughter fell sick and had 1 week mc, it has been very difficult for me to get her back into routine.
It has always been a challenge to persuade her to go to school but even more so now. She refuses to go to school and throws a tantrum and refuses to wear her uniform. She tells me please don’t leave her and to go to school with her.
She will cry at drop off but at the end of the day the teachers tell me that she was played well and enjoyed herself.
Any tips to make my mornings better?

- 2023-11-30Hi im a first time mom here, and currently 21w+- but im curious how often should baby move in the tummy. Like occasionally she super active but some days just minor to no movements. Should i be worried? #pleasehelp #advicepls
- 2023-11-30Am i a bad mom.
Im a ftm, baby is 9 weeks old. Baby’s wake period is way longer now he barely nap during the day(sleep longer at night). I do talk to baby often & do tummy time atleast once a day.
This is why i get more tired during the day. There are times when i just put him on the playmat gym for him( the one with toys hanging and piano music for his leg to kick) to play by himself while i rest for a bit beside him.
But i feel guilty. As im supposed to be engaged in it too? Or is it normal to leave baby on playgym for half an hour or so to rest. I would place the playmat gym on my bed beside me (i wont sleep and definitely supervised).
#firsttimemom
- 2023-11-30Do you always wear socks for your baby at home?
Is it not good for them to not wear socks once in a while (when not in airconditioned room)? Cause sometimes his feet gets quite hot and also hoping he can “feel” more when using his bare feet. Like kicking things/toys
Baby is 9 weeks.
Just annoyed at how old people always scold for not wearing socks cause they scared baby’s feet will get cold. His feet do get cold but he doesn’t look uncomfortable.
- 2023-11-30I’m currently 10 weeks pregnant and I have endometriosis before I was pregnant. I’m currently having horrible back pains throughout the day but no discharge so I don’t think it’s a miscarriage. Does anyone have any tips for lower back pain management?

- 2023-12-01After 5 years of my marriage and through ivr, I finally had my boy who is 2. So I thought I am not so easy to get pregnant. Who knows, I got pregnant when I was not even trying. Everything seems smooth. Had all the pregnancy signs. However, after multiple tests and scans, my baby girl was having trisomy 18. The fetus specialist says only one side of the heart was functioning and there were other issues with the heart as well. So even if we give birth to her, no surgery could help. We finally decided to terminate the pregnancy. The process was so scary especially when I felt my girl drop out of me... its been several months. though life goes on, nobody knows the pain that remains in me. I keep thinking is it my sins that cause my girl to be so sick....

- 2023-12-01This is my 2nd pregnancy, my first born is 10 months old and I'm now 2 months into my 2nd pregnancy. I understand that all pregnancies are different. But I can't help but feel constant fatigue, and constantly hungry. So hungry like I havent eaten anything in 3 days. And if i dont eat, i will feel nauseous. But i also dont feel like eating as well due to the fatigue. Any advice please? I'm thinking if this fatigue is due to waking up in the middle of the night due to my 10 month old, or because I'm pregnant, or its both? To the point i really just wish and hope i can get hospitalised because thats the only way i can really sleep and rest, without work calling, or mother duties. just inject me with sleeping pills 😭 I read that studies said folic acid causes depression. Could that be im having some depression right now
- 2023-12-01Hello fellow mummies, my edd is during cny nxt year. Assume i deliver earlier, before cny eve, my PIL want to have reunion dinner steamboat at my place on CNY eve while im doing confinement. Im not having confinement nanny, so just hub and me taking care of the baby. And most likely im gg for elective c-sec, so i will need even more rest. Should i reject the idea of having steamboat at my place? I really duno how tired i will be as this will be my 1st baby. Im trying to keep housework to the minimal, hence i have ordered confinement meal instead. Although my MIL will try to help, but i cannot imagine the aftermath of a steamboat dinner for 6 pax. And can i eat steamboat during confinement?

- 2023-12-01Hi mummies, I felt belly tightening on the upper half of my abdomen but usually only on the right side. I can visibly see that there’s a right side of my abdomen gets tighter and there’s like a small bump before it goes away in 5-10 seconds. This happens for like 10 times a day. Anyone has similar experience? I’m currently 34 weeks! #firsttimemom

- 2023-12-01Hi all, I’m with private gynae clinic and my gynae only suggested NIPT and no need for Oscar. Can I check whether this is the case for most mummies? And may I ask how much u paid for NIPT? Thanks. #advicepls #firsttimemom
- 2023-12-01My baby is 8 months old and recently she's been pooping alot of times in a day.
She's fully on breastmilk (latched and pumped) and 2 solid meals a day.
She can play and laugh with me then the next minute, she gets super cranky and cry until very miserable.
She used to sleep thru the night when she's about 3 months old but now she starts to wake up in the middle of the night about 2 to 4 times. I have to latch her about 5 to 10 minutes before she goes back to sleep.
I don't know what's wrong with her. Any mummies has the same encounter? Mind sharing to me so at least I have some ideas on what's happening with my baby? I feel so drained out everyday now.
- 2023-12-01I am entering 3rd trimester in 1-2 weeks time. I wonder if anyone encounter the same.
- 2023-12-01Please no hate comment. Im a ftm and still new to all these and still clueless.
As im a first time parent, im a little fomo and kanchiong. Im so stressed do i need to teach/train or help baby to flip or sit soon? Or they will naturally do it?
Altho my baby is only 2 months but i feel pressured like what if because of me, i never teach/train or help my baby to move his body or do exercises, then he wont be able to flip or sit on his own in few months time or soon.
Any mummies here their baby actually learn to flip or sit on their own? Only then you start to assist a little?
Sometimes i cant help but to feel pressured cs sometimes i see some post stating their 2-3 months can do this and that while my baby still cannot, altho diff baby diff pace.
But im scared its because i never teach then baby will fall behind.
- 2023-12-01My mummies. My 2 month old 5.6kg boy is feeding on 1.5hr - 2/3hrs. 90ml. Full formula
I know i can increase the intake but im scared baby cant take in and will puke out all milk(happened before).
However he just started IFC today, and the teachers told me to try increase his intake to 120ml over the weekends and see if he can survive till 3hrs from last feed. 120ml/3hrs. Cause they mention the babies there mostly feed every 3hrs.
they also mentioned maybe baby feed 1.5hrs cause the intake is not enough and he gets hungry faster. And also sometimes he puke out more milk cause the interval from one feed to another is short.
90ml to 120 is quite a big jump im scared his stomach wont have the capacity to take in and will puke all.
Should i straight away try give him 120ml or increase 5/10ml day by day?

- 2023-12-01Hi mommies, I am in week 26. I notice my baby has bigger movement and have hard kicks in the morning the moment I am awake… I feel gentler kicks throughout the day..
I start wondering if , does baby know when I am awake? Otherwise how is he so active when I wake up in the morning. 😅 I am curious to know as I am a late sleeper, I hope my sleep do not affect my baby’s sleep or development 🙃

- 2023-12-02Hi mummies, my 2months old 5.6kg baby is suddenly having a feeding issue.
He’s fully formula fed, feeding on 90ml 1.5hr - 3hrs which his infant care told to try increase 120ml so can drag to every 3hrs.
However i realise from past few days, not sure if coincidence or what, but after his 2months vaccination, even on 90ml, he would only drink like 50ml or so then he would stop drinking and reject the bottle/milk using his to tongue or lips. Even after trying to change diaper, burp him etc.
Sometimes he would drink all sometimes he would stop halfway and reject. and he would be all smiley and wanting to keep talking to us, like playful kinf. He doesn't look like he's in pain at all or his tummy bloated etc.
not sure if suddenly he knows about distraction or what, that caused him to not want milk anymore. im scared he would start losing weight.
This happens be it at home or outside.
And yes before everyfeed, he would cry loudly for milk and show obvious hunger cues.

- 2023-12-02My 2 year old still have not grow any tooth yet. Is this normal? Check with PD dental they also have no idea what is wrong.
- 2023-12-02Should i allow visitors during confinement period? Most likely my confinement will be during CNY Feb nxt year. Not sure if ppl will take this opportunity to visit and see the baby. Im a ftm, so i duno how will i cope after birth, with just me and my husband. My mum will only help out during the day as she stay nearby. #advicepls #firsttimemom
- 2023-12-02Does cough during 5 weeks pregnancy affect the baby?
- 2023-12-02Hello mummies, i am 12 weeks pregnant now and I experienced some breathlessness/shortness of breath when I was shopping at the shopping mall.
I need to breathe harder if I’m walking at a slightly faster pace.
Is this normal at such early stage in pregnancy and does anyone experience this also?
Thank you!

- 2023-12-02Hi, FTM here. Wondering how much formula milk should I give to 2 weeks old newborn. Currently giving 60ml per feed, and feeding frequency is about 2 hourly. Anyone with similar situation?
- 2023-12-02I saw this at the back of my LO. Pls advise.
- 2023-12-02At 35 weeks & packing my hospital bag now.
Just wondering if shower towels are provided (or can be requested) for me and hubs?
- 2023-12-02Hi mummies,
I read that we can’t use salompas, after week 20. Is there a substitute that we can use if we get aches and pains?
