- 2023-11-20My mother in law is always hoping my son won't be close to me... since young until now he is two. She really constantly saying hurting words like your mummy walk away, you smile. Then yesterday my son didn't wait for me and walk away with my father in law, she will make comment like see he left.... and give a smile like very happy he left without me.... I really don't know what's wrong with her. I don't even know how to trust her with my son... its to the point I don't want to see her..... I really feel so stress being around her.#advicepls #firstbaby #firstmom #pleasehelp

- 2023-11-20Hi, has anyone experienced vomiting but nothing comes out? I’m on week 12 day 6 and have never experienced this before when I was in first trimester but it has already happened more than 5 times for 2 days. I can barely eat or drink anything.
I vomited food out the night before but the next day it was all just saliva but uncontrollable vomit.
Does anyone have any advice please?

- 2023-11-20Hi! I am currently 13 weeks and have been experiencing shoulder and neck pain. I would really like to go for a massage but I know alot of places will not massage pregnant women till much later. But the pain is making me uncomfortable and I also know salonpas is not encouraged. Any tips to overcome this? Is it true massage is not allowed? Thank you

- 2023-11-20Hello mummies, i am 11 weeks and still having food aversion. Curious if there is light after the tunnel, will food aversion get better after 12 weeks?
- 2023-11-20Hi any mummies are craving for ice milk tea? I was wondering if it’s okay to drink milk tea once in awhile at 10 weeks plus? As my cravings are very unhealthy like spicy boat noodle, fast foods and even tunas and cheese but some shops we aren’t able to know if cheese and milk was pasteurized or not. Makes me rather#advicepls upset
- 2023-11-20Hey mommies! I just turned positive last wed (week 4) as i was experiencing some giddiness and nausea. I didnt feel any cramps or so. However, as the days go by (week 5) I realised i no longer felt dizzy or nausea anymore. Instead i experience some mild cramp on my lower abdomen. Other than that everything felt normal. I only schedule to see the gynae on week 6. Is this kind of normal? Or should i be worried that i no longer felt dizzy and nausea? Is cramp normal too? Getting a little paranoid as this is my first. Thanks in adv

- 2023-11-20My baby has fallen down on floor several times and got hurt on back head & forehead...
Once she cried lot that she got tired and slept off suddenly....
Repeatedly getting hurt on same place!!

Does this cause any problems for her brain?
Sorry if I am silly to ask this....
I am just worried.
- 2023-11-20I tested positive twice using a test kit. I'm expecting to meet my gynae this Friday for a blood test to confirm. The obvious symptoms I'm facing now are tiredness (feel tired even after nap) and sore breast. I don't feel nauseous, and tbh, i dont feel pregnant as well. You can say im a worrier, but before getting the results from my gynae, just wanting to hear the experience from the community whether anyone experience false positive before so that i can manage my expectation. This is my first time, and my husband and I really want a child badly. #advicepls #firsttimemom #pleasehelp #newbiehere

- 2023-11-20FTM Here.. i have a 23rd day newborn and she tends to breathe very fast like gasping for air after feeding especially at night and when she drinks too fast. We already burped her, and also fed her in an almost upright position. Is this normal?

- 2023-11-20Hello mummies!
My baby is 2 months old and she started to skip one feed and sleep through the night on her own. If so, do I increase the milk intake for the last feed at 12 midnight? She drinks 120mls now, how much should I increase? Or there’s no need to increase?
Thank you :)
- 2023-11-20Mummies who have babies who are more sensitive to heat, perspire a lot and often get heat rashes… I need some advice!
My baby has heat rashes often since birth. We have seen a PD when she was newborn and was advised not to apply any moisturiser as it clogs her pores thus causing the rashes. However, her rashes still comes on and off daily with the humid weather, and I’m bothered by the little bumps on her skin.
Any recommendations for creams that work for your baby? Or what else works? Please share! :)
- 2023-11-20Does any mummies experience headaches almost on a daily basis? It does go away if pop 2 paracetamol a day. I tried to sleep it off but it doesn't help. Either the pain remains or it worsens.
However I don't feel like taking so much medicine. I am currently week 17.

- 2023-11-20Anyone at 29 weeks and feeling extremely uncomfortable? I feel like my tummy is at my diaphragm and everytime I eat, my stomach feels super tight and uncomfortable. Also I've been experiencing random knee cramps at night. Sometimes it's so severe that I wake up and it hurts terribly to move my leg. Is that normal?
- 2023-11-20Hi mummies, can I can my own consent form for epidural / emergency c sec? Or need my husband to sign? If he is not around, can my mum sign it for me?
- 2023-11-20Hi everyone. I have a son who is turning 2 this December. I know by now normally toddlers are able to sleep through the night. Unfortunately for me,my baby have not mastered it even though he is turning 2 years old soon. He is still waking up at once or twice every night to ask for milk, and at times will show tantrums n cry before settling for the milk. He is eating well and is well fed but it's still not enough to last him through the night. I have been yearning for the day to come where he can sleep throughout. Any mommies faced a similar situation before? When will it get better? 🥹

- 2023-11-21My 4months+ son’s left side area nappy area has peeled off skin. I thought it was diaper rash at first but it got bigger it almost look like shedding new layer of skin. He doesn’t seem like in pain because he didn’t cry when i touched the area. I changed to desitin diaper cream (previously been using Pureen) and applied Mustela cicastela cream on the areas that are peeling off & ensured the area is completely dry before application . My mum said it was because i put too much diaper cream that caused the dryness. Shouldn’t it be applied generously? Or was it because of his diaper size? He’s currently using size S, weighing 6.9kg and I thought I shouldn’t size up yet because the tapes are always touching each other when put on.
Please advise! #pleasehelp #firstmom #sos #diaperrash #plsadvise #helpandrespect

- 2023-11-22Hi mommies, at which week/month did you stop swaddling your baby and how did they take it?
My baby has been swaddled since birth, most of the time. From 1 month till now 2 months+, we only swaddled when he wants to sleep, else he cannot sleep and will be cranky.
However, sometimes because of the swaddled, even the thinnest material, he would still sweat. Even in air conditioned room. And also he will be starting IFC soon, im scared he wont be able to sleep without being swaddled.
I also was told that we need to stop swaddling our babies once they learn how to roll or flip over.
Idt IFC allows babies being swaddled as swaddled was not in their list of things to bring.
Until which week/month did you slowly stop swaddling your baby to sleep? And any tips ? Ive tried not swaddling, on highest fan, or aircon, white noise etc, he would cry cry.

- 2023-11-22Hi, I am suppose to be 11 weeks today but yesterday we went for our checkup and the gynae told us that the baby stop growing at 9 weeks and there's no more heartbeat. The doctor gave us 2 options, the pill or the operation. Will these affect the fertility or the womb after ? Should I seek for a second opinion ?
- 2023-11-22Hi mummies, just want to know from mummies who had abortion before due to unwanted pregnancies. Im just curious of the procedure, cost etc. Just want to know for my own knowledge. Please do not bash.

2. What are the procedures
3. The tentative cost
4. Is it painful, is there any afterpains and does it affect future fertility

- 2023-11-22I’m getting exhausted with my newborn who’s about 2 weeks old now. She doesn’t want to sleep on bed or put down, whenever she’s asleep and I put her down, she wakes up within 5 mins, she always wants to be held. It’s exhausting, I really Dk what to do. It’s taking a toll on me mentally.

- 2023-11-22Hi mummies, is there anyone here experiencing very active movements from their babies at 24 weeks? I was scheduled for FBS this morning so I was on fast for 8hrs. When I woke up baby’s movements are strong as usual when she’s hungry so I thought she was just hungry. But today, the whole day, I noticed she’s been kicking and moving a lot. A lot means i feel kicks for 4-5times every 30 seconds to a minute. And it happens almost every 1-2hrs. Last time there were 3-4 hours she’s quiet (probably sleeping) but today she’s really moving a lot. Would love to hear your experience too! 💖 #firsttimemom #ftm

- 2023-11-22Hi mamas! My LO has been struggling to poop or pass gas every time after the early morning feeds (BF at 5am ish) and always grunting, eventually doesn’t sleep and cry herself awake. This straining and grunting won’t stop until she cries herself awake and I feed her again and that induces a huge poop in the morning. Is this normal? How do I help her sleep better? I have tried tummy massage and leg cycling methods to pass gas but it doesn’t help!

- 2023-11-23Hello mummies! I want to ask, I don’t really have any issues with food but everything I eat tastes bitter. Especially after eating, I look up and read some info stated it’s normal due to high production of hormone. But can anyone share on how to get rid of this? I don’t feel comfortable
- 2023-11-23I am 8 weeks PP and gynae gave me birth control pill called Liza. Im not bfing.
Anyone took liza before and how was it? Whats the side effect for you? Hows your cycle?
I thought of trying the natural way as im scared and not ready for the side effects. By using condom on non ovulating days. So i just keep the pills first.

However, got a huge scare as during the night, LO fidgets so much and when I checked on LO, it seems that she "kicks" the pillow till it landed on her face, covering her nose and mouth. - 2023-11-23Hi mommies! Any recommendations for FM ? Can she drink soy milk?
- 2023-11-24Hello everyone. I am currently 30 weeks pregnant. On Monday 20/11 I saw some spotting and when I wipe there was blood. To be on the safer side we went to the hospital. They did their check and scan baby. She is doing well and placenta is also good. However I had to stay because the spotting continued still here 24/11. On 23/11 they gave me a steroid shot to prevent early labour just in case even though I was not showing any signs of early labour. Anyway I am optimistic that I’ll be going home today on advice by the doctor but will be on HL. Just wanted to check any moms go through this? I am afraid when I go home I’ll be so paranoid about early labour and all that. But honestly my baby feels fine she’s still kicking away, heart beat is good etc. have you been through this? Do you think I can still give birth naturally without c-sect or induce? I am also a ftm!! Please advice thank you all 😘 much appreciated!! 🙏🏾
- 2023-11-24Hi mummies, ftm here. How do i manage baby’s fever? Other than giving doctor’s panadol. My baby is 2 months+ he just got his jab and his body is on and off warm.
How do i sponge him? Just like wipe down whole body? Room temp tap water or warm water or cold water?
And does lemon soap or lemon bath helps with the fever ?

- 2023-11-24Then I saw this article which made me worried
- 2023-11-24I am so down and demoralised whenever i look at my body. I gave birth 8 weeks ago via emergency csect. I am stuck with this tummy. Like 3-4 months preggy. My tummy went a little smaller, and waist shrunk to 76cm during/after postnatal massage and i was so happy. But after a week or so, maybe because my appetite has came back and im in a better mood, my tummy somehow grew bigger back and my waist has went up to 80cm.
I am petite and slim, but i have a big tummy😣 i dont know how to slim it down. Do i really need to diet and exercise ?
I do not have diastasic recti, as per gynae mentioned. But somehow this tummy just wont go away. Any tips?

- 2023-11-24Hi mommies, is it ok to take blackmores pregnanacy & breast feeding advanced + Blackmores folate together? Will that be overdose?
- 2023-11-24My daughter is 6 months old and she is drinking less milk and not finishing up her milk. I will make 180mls of formula and she may finish only 60-100mls of formula. I have started solids by feeding her purées (about 1-4 teaspoons depends on whether she likes the food or not). Do you think I should try changing formula?
- 2023-11-24Hi mummie!! Anyone can share the best venue to celebrate a 1 year old birthday?? Or celebration at home is still the best?
- 2023-11-24Hi mummies with more than 1 child and fully formula fed from birth, did you decide to fully fed baby with formula from birth, and even for your 2nd born? How did you prevent “milk production”? Did you not pump/latch from the start? Or would need to eat the medication to stop milk production after birth? Did you have any engorgement?
I tried pumping for my first baby and couldnt take it mentally and physically so i stopped and took the medication. Altho im only few months PP, im already planning to only formula fed all my upcoming babies from birth. Is it a bad thing? I know i will definitely be judged heavily, especially from family members, friends and even relatives. And how do i answer when during hospital stay and medical checkups when nurses keep asking if youve tried latching baby etc. and they would always ask why you dont breastfeed your baby. How do you answer them.
Thank you in advanced!

- 2023-11-24Any mummies still having painful letdowns more than 2 months after birth? Everytime I will experience nausea (feel like vomiting) then top of my breast will hurt and then milk will spray out. I heard it's normal to feel pain during letdown starting of breast feeding journey, but it's been two months and still the same. Though the pain is not a big deal but it's a nuisance. Any idea if there's something wrong?

- 2023-11-24I am currently in my 3rd trimester. My partner and I havent had sex in about 2.5 months. And when we did it last night, the penetration was so painful, it was like my vagina was stinging. After we were done, I went to shower and the water touching my vagina hurts so bad, so I took a small mirror to check. There was a small skin tear near my perineum.
Does this mean I am likely to tear more during natural birth? I am so scared, if it hurts so much during sex, wouldnt it hurt so much more when baby's head comes out 😭#firsttimemom #anyadvice #pregnancysex #perinealtear

- 2023-11-25Hi mummies, for infant care bag, how do you usually store your baby’s clothes ? In a wetbag and label or just in ikea ziplock?
And just bring another separate big wetbag for soiled clothes ?
For extra clothes, the centre (sparkletots) is airconditioned and it states long pants preferred, what kind of clothes do you usually bring for them ? All long sleeve and pants? All sleep suits? Or some short sleep onesies? Since they wont be swaddled

- 2023-11-25Does anyone here experiencing light brown vaginal discharge on the 2nd trimester? I’m currently 5 months pregnant, when I started working again, I have to sit for long period due yo the nature of my work and sometimes I have to control my pee.. I’ve been suffering from stress lately because of my MIL thinking that she isn’t happy with my pregnancy. Please advise, I’m trying to stay strong and positive and avoiding stress as well but couldn’t help it that sometimes anxiety attacks 😔
- 2023-11-25My baby is 2 months old and the bean sprout pillow somehow helps him sleep better, as he can feel the weight. We usually place on his tummy near chest, as im scared chest is too near to his face or he’ll have difficulty breathing. However, he’s getting more active and always moves his whole body, lift up his leg & butt etc, even when he’s sleeping and theres few times the pillow ends up either near his face or on his face and he would cry. So scary 😣
Any mummies experience same thing? How do i deal with this is i want to continue using the pillow?
Or just place only half of the pillow on his body?
Need advises pls dont bash me.
- 2023-11-25Hi mummies that send their babies to infant care, esp those below 5/6 months. I heard that most centres do not allow swaddles.
My 2 months old needs to be swaddled for him to sleep, else he’ll be cranky, wake up very shortly due to his moro reflex or his own movement.
How do i “train” him to sleep without swaddles or will the centre deal with the transition?
Im so scared if he cry cry not being swaddled and the teacher will just ignore him 😣😣
- 2023-11-25Hey mommies, i am currently at my week 6 and I have zero symptoms beside slightly sore boobs. The only time i felt nausea and vomited was during week 4 (first 2 days) after which everything became back to normal. I am quite worried if the HCG hormones is going down or something. Has any mommies experience something like this? Sorry first time mom here and i really dunno what to expect. My stomach dont feel a thing except very slight cramp or twinge here and there but not all the time. It still looks so flat? I dont even feel pregnant.

- 2023-11-25Hi all, want to check as I heard some superstitions regarding house works during pregnancy.
We are preparing for nursery and have to sell away some furniture.
Some items need to dismantle/set up/move out. Is it OK for me to be in the hse? asking as I have only heard abt no drilling into wall etc... what about using screwdriver to dismantle or set up stuff ( not done by me)
