2023-11-06Is it ok to lay 1.5 month old tummy down on our chest while we lay 45 degree up? For short naps and i wont be sleeping. Will it hinder their breathing since its kind of pressing on their chest? As my baby will wakeup whenever i put him down, this is the only way to make him nap a little longer, atleast till we make it to the next feeding time 😂🥵 #firsttimemom

Nurse told me cos of my thick fibroids outside uterus. 2023-11-06I’m currently at 6 weeks pregnant, I’ve been having nausea & dry heaving 24/7 even when I’m sleeping I feel like I want to vomit but I can’t. I just want to be in bed most of the time cause I feel sick, today even drinking water makes me want to puke. It’s annoying cause I want to puke but there’s nothing coming out. 2023-11-06Hello, currently 5 days overdue and Ive been having quite consistent Lower abdominal cramps since 1am (every at least 15mins) Called up nuh but they say to just monitor since I mentioned pain level was about 3/4. It’s 3pm now and the contractions are still gg on for about 1min everytime, frequency between 10-15 mins and they’re abit more painful then the morning ones. However during my last checkup 3 days ago I was still 0cm dilated. Dr did do a “massage” to the cervix. Shld I be gg to the hospital soon?anyone has had similar experience? #firsttimemom #pleasehelp

2023-11-06During pregnancy when i went to JB i stocked up quite alot of offspring diapers NB & S, as alot of mummies raved about it and most say the smell of pee or poo does reek. However when i used on my baby most of the time the smell comes out be it pee or poo. And also few times poo came out from the back. Just curious Am i the only one who thinks the brand is not as good as “advertised”? I find huggies naturemade a little better.
2023-11-06I just got my period back 1 month+ after giving birth as im not breastfeedind altho the first few days are very very heavy, surprisingly i didnt feel any cramps at all be it on my tummy or down there. Anyone also experiencing same thing? And does it happen to all of your period after birth or only the first period. #firsttimemom
2023-11-06Hi, just wondering if I am paranoid.. Currently staying with my husband's grandma. Every day, my in law and my husband's 3 aunts (every 2 to 3 days) would come over to eat together and see newborn. Newborn is only 10 day old. They sometimes do help with changing diapers, feeding etc. But they tend to talk very loudly and/or play loud videos, etc. The frequency of visiting is high and I am afraid it would disturb the baby's sleep and/or spread germs. I feel bad to tell my husband if his fam members can just come once or twice a week instead.. as they are really nice and always bring along food, etc..
2023-11-06At which month were you brave enough to go out with your baby alone by public transport , without any 3rd person? Ill be going back and forth to my mum’s (both same estate) everyday and would need to take bus. But my baby is only 1.5months and i still carry him by hand as he hate carrier. Instead of taxi everyday (💸💸), i feel like want to try to take bus one day see how it goes but im so scared my baby would cry murder outside or worst, in the bus, and i wont know what to do.
2023-11-06Do you change your baby diaper before/after feed during night feeds ? Like after midnight to morning. I usually change baby diaper before/after feed during day and night but once it hit midnight my baby would usually sleep longer, wake up just to feed then sleep back. Im scared if i change the diaper during that timing itll make him wide awake and wont go back to sleep for hours cause he’s usually wide awake once change diaper. #firsttimemom
2023-11-06Hi Mummies, I’ve recently sent my 3 mos LO to infant care. My LOs requires contact napping and can never nap in her own cot or without being carried in the day. We’ve tried many methods to not carry her but doesn’t work and eventually gave in to carrying her. But now at infant care, the teachers don’t have the capacity to carry her all the time and her naps will be disrupted. Any mommies here had the same experience before? How did your LO manage? 2023-11-07My 1.5 month old is always having white thick mucus inside his nose and always have loud breathing like wheezing like something’s stuck inside his nose. It started when he’s 2 weeks old or around there and is going on everyday. I do use the pigeon nasal sucker and tweezer to take out the thick white mucus, but the very inside is still there. Is it normal? Should i go to gp? For using electric nasal aspirator can i use it by itself or i need to spray saline water or sterimar first?
2023-11-07Hi, Anyone did FTS at KKH and gotten High Risk for T21? Im 35 this year. The number was 1:161 due to absent Nasal bone and high bcg blood. So KKH called and put me on High Risk. Did NIPT on the 2nd Nov and praying that everything would be ok. Was told it will take 14 days. Anyone gotten their results earlier? Thank you

2023-11-07#advicepls I’m 7 weeks pregnant and going through my first pregnancy. I’m always so hungry but I have little to no appetite at all. I will only take 1-2 bites and I’ll be done. At times, I’ll be super hungry, eat very little and feel bloated but still hungry! What should I do to help with the little to no appetite. I don’t want to start getting gastric over this cause it won’t be good for the baby.

2023-11-08Which Child Development hosp or centre can any1 recommend ? My son was heavily recommended from his childcare school for EI. I request a memo from his school. I believe he may display different behaviour at home & school. The memo written only 50% accurate. He is 3yrs old this yr, most children at his class were smart. Able to read from storybooks. Sometimes I feel that the school trying to push him out of that Centre. Set aside. I choose to visit poly and waiting for referral. I hope I'm choosing the right diagnosis centre for him. What happen if he is diagnosed w Austism/Adhd? Can he go onto normal pri/sec school in the near future? Or must he attain a special school from now on meaning will his current school kick him off from the current centre if his diagnose is confirm? He can no longer go into a normal childcare centre?

2023-11-08It came to a shock to my hubby spend 100k in a moment of folly when he only earn 50k. He lied he keep the money in another bank reaping higher interest and promised to keep the spending down. He only come clean after given the ultimate that I want to see proof. He keep delaying and refuse to show until d day before I give birth. He WFH and go office only 2 times a week. We send baby to ifc, I just realize he took grab to fetch her recently and it cost 16.50 while a bus ride is 99c. It doesn't give him any time saving coz have to wait at ifc just more comfortable and don't need to spend 7min walking to busstop Then I found he lied again and upon the warning he show me the total which he had 6k life saving in his account and refused to show me detail. Then again heaping on, I found He got a 3k "loan" return but I suspect it him loan from someone else instead. He spend 1701 on grab itself in Oct and there grab ride of 40dollars +20dollars every time he go work. Total spend on cab on last 5month add to 4900. He has a company phone but sign up for a self pay $99 Telco plan and took company calls on his personal phone. And he did not get any free hp for last 4 years with such expensive plan. More lies around that. He already closing 50 and no retirement fund at all, not to mention saving for my gal education fund While I don't want to hurt his feeling I feel super hurt that first he not sensible to stop his spending now we have a baby and planing one more if possible. Secondly the lies around money NV stops. While I can't control what he do and foresee the lies NV will stop, what should I do?

The doctor checked my cervix and did ultrasound too. Seems fine. But today it turns out like this. I do have cramps on and off but not intense.. 2023-11-09My husband's a Malay Muslim, I'm a Chinese convert. We both are aware it is forbidden to shave one's eyebrow in Islam practice. Hence, i told my mom (who did confinement and taking care of baby for me) that do not cut or shave my baby's hair. 1-2weeks ltr my husband found out my baby's eyebrow suddenly were gone, i wasnt paying attention to my baby cuz i was focusing on my episiotomy recovery. My husband did not get down to the bottom of the matter and started assuming my family and I shaved his eyebrow and he threw a big tantrum at me. Blaming me why am i only focusing on myself and not baby? Till now i am not sure what happened to my baby's eyebrow, why is it gone? Or is it a normal thing that baby eyebrow will disappear and regrow agn? My husband was furious and said will get down to the bottom of this matter. Weeks gone by, nothing was told by him. But i know he told his mom about this incident too. Out of curiosity, i scrolled his whatsapp chat w his mom and i got this screenshot of their conversation. I dont really understand Malay and i tried google translation, some parts came out quite harsh and hurtful. I do not want to jump into conclusion that my mil is bad mouthing me, as google translation cant be accurate or unable to properly potray what the text mean. So, i would greatly appreciate mummies to help me look through the convo and tell me if my mil and my husband was bad mouthing or blaming me for not taking care of my baby? 2023-11-10did anyone had part partum rashes?How long did this rash lasted? I had post partum rashes during confinement but I didn't see Dr then after few weeks it gone off by itself. Now I'm post partum going 3 months but I had rashes but the Dr could not conclude what is the cause but high chance is post partum rash. My rash is coming two weeks but now I can't really go out to see Dr as I'm the sole caregiver for my baby.

2023-11-10I’m currently hitting my 39 weeks this Sunday. Baby weigh about 3kg as of today. All is fine except that gynae did mention head is on the bigger side, cervix is still closed and that induce (12 Nov) would be a better option than to wait out for a week more (actual EDD: 19 Nov), any advice? #firsttimemom #firstbaby
2023-11-10My EDD is 20 May 2024 and I'm already thinking if i should get the breast pump and milk bottle cause of 11.11. The whole set will be now $665| U.P $849. Isit too early to buy them? 2023-11-11My LO is 4 months old. Just wondering what are these rashes? I put her to cotton clothes and she sleeps with fan on. Sometimes i on two fans cos sg weather is crazy hot sometimes. Cos i tot this might be due to the weather. But maybe not. Any remedies for this? Should i bring her to see doc or is this common among babies? Help.
2023-11-11I'm feeling very irritated with baby as I don't know what she wants and she keeps crying at everything. At times I feel like throwing her away. I feel shocked at my own thoughts I have helper to help me however sometimes she also unable to handle baby and then it's back to me. I'm not sure if it is because I'm on menses or anxiety as I'm going back to work and all or is this a symptom of post partum depression. I only have such thoughts recently. So sorry for the rant. #firstbaby

2023-11-11Yesterday when for my 1st dating scan at kk. The weird thing is when start to scan my tummy she did not say anything at all. Usually they will say this is ur bby head n ect. This i hear doctor will explain.. i got the feeling tat ther is no fetus or growing baby in the sac. So it’s right doctor say i have miscarriage . By 8 week’s should have heart beat. But mine is just empty sac.
2023-11-11Hi mummies, need some advice. My 13 weeks old baby has been extremely fussy and screams a lot during feeds the past week. He was fine previously and we didn't do anything different recently so have no idea why he's like that. We now take an hour to feed him because we keep trying to soothe him - change positions, burp him, walk around. He screams and cries even after burping. Anyone went through this before? Thanks!
2023-11-11Hi mummies! Am currently seeing a private gynae, but the fees are *faint* so am thinking of switching to NUH private after my next appt at 20 weeks. I've been trying to call NUH to enquire about the antenatal package price, but the call centre cannot provide details and I've emailed but they're taking a while to reply. Any mummies here have the updated package price that you can share? Hope to make a decision before my next appt. Much appreciated! ❤️

2023-11-11Hi, does anyone know how to cope with loss of appetite during the first trimester? I’ve been struggling with eating normally. I get hungry but whenever I start eating I either get nauseous or I lose interest in the food. I feel bad that I’m not eating properly and I don’t really know what can help either. send help ;-;

Damn sad I only use binder first month as i had help from confinement nanny Afterwards as i need care for bby i had no time to put it on I have already lost 10kg and 5 more kg to go to my pre pregnancy weight. I can still wear my top but not the pants and jeans, will stuck on my upper thigh
