2023-10-16Hi, im a first pregnancy. Today is my 7 weeks. I went to kkh on 9 oct. They did the scan but they say still unable to confirm the edd. Is this normal ? But i went to private gynae they avle to confirm and even let me hear my baby heartbeat. Kkh didn't allow saying its not good for the baby. I don't know if really cannot or just lazy. Cause my private dr was shocked when i told him kkh don't allow. Oh, they don't do any blood test too. Is it normal to have bloating everytime we eat? Its really uncomfortable.
2023-10-16Hi mummies & mummies to be! I’m currently at 32weeks and have been having cramps for a couple of days. Haven’t been monitoring the frequency because I’m not sure if it’s diarrhoea cramps or Braxton hicks or contractions. Some time the cramps comes with no bowel movement. I sat on the toilet bowl waiting and waiting. But I do feel like gg for my no 2. 🫠 My next appt is next week, not sure if any mummies has been through this pain or discomfort.

2023-10-16I just went thru csect a month ago and not intending to get pregnant for atleast 2-3 years, cause aside from the safe age gap for csect, my labor was extremely traumatising. For protection im not sure if i should go on birth control pills or just use condoms. Im scared if ill still accidently get pregnant with protection. 2023-10-16My baby is 3 months old. I let her tried out 2 different brands of 3 milk bottles according to her age but she cried loudly, refusing to suck on the 3 new bottles. Milk leaking out from the sides of her mouth. When I gave her the old bottle ( the current one which she uses everyday), she stopped crying and finished the milk. Pls help!#pleasehelp #FTM
2023-10-16I like this Singapore formulated S-26 milk powder which contains many nutritional ingredients and also Lutein, which is good for my child’s eye development. 2023-10-16My confinement nanny has been with us for 2 weeks, and baby is showing a preference for her when it comes to calming him down to sleep. He would continue crying when me or my husband try to carry him to sooth him to sleep,but calm down with the nanny and sleep. However, as the nanny will be gone in 2 weeks,I am concerned that baby becomes over reliant on her and would be very hard to calm down after that. Would like to ask if anyone has similar experiences, and what you did to overcome it.

2023-10-16My 2 weeks old baby poop like this. Can anybody help me with this. Is this normal, ok? A concern? Should I bring to hospital to check? Also he is drinking full formula milk -nan blue tin 0-6 months. Is it because of milk, do I have to change? Constipation? 2023-10-17Is it normal even after a month my csect still hurts every now and then ? And sometimes feel like a bruising or throbbing pain below the wound? Most mummies mention their csect no longer hurts most of the time after 3 weeks but i feel like im taking forever to heal. Im scared i will never recover. 2023-10-17After your postnatal massage session, how long would you usually keep the binder on ? This is my first day of postnatal massage after csect, after 3hours or so i feel suffocated by the binder, and my ribs hurt. Theyre using the traditional binder the one need to tie up. How long did you keep the binder on after your massage and do you wear it to sleep? My masseuse told me if possible keep it till next morning

2023-10-17Hi mummies. I’m about 2 months PP. I used to be an oversupply pumping 1L-1.5L a day. It was so dreadful and I wanted to decrease the amount so I don’t overproduce. I then started to drag my pump and hoping the supply would drop but one day… the supply just completely stopped. Like just a few drops left.. I have not pumped since the past week since it stopped. Any ways to get it back? Or once it’s dried up means it won’t be back already? I’m very regretful since I won’t be able to feed my boy with BM now that my frozen stash has finished.

2023-10-18Am i normal to feel very anxious whenever baby is still awake after feeding (fm), even when he’s not crying? Mostly during the day. As im just waiting for him to cry unconsolable. Im a ftm, and my baby is a month old and im still not used to this whole motherhood thing, and im always extremely anxious, esp when baby is awake. And will feel like breaking down when baby cries.

2023-10-18I got a 11 day old newborn… & i realise that every night after 9pm she will be awake and start crying for something even after feeding time , sometimes im not sure if shes still hungry or due to other reason … she will be fussy until 2+ am and i cant get to sleep im so so tired! 2023-10-18I ask my gynae for Hospitalisation leave and he didn't allow it. My body can't take it anymore to work as I'm working as an infant teacher. I keep on bending to carry babies more than 5kg. Now my back hurts and I have swollen legs. I can't apply for unpaid leave as it will affect my appraisal , Should I change gynae. My ML can only be used after 36 weeks.
2023-10-19My husband and I have plans to have a second child. However, recently, my 13mo baby has been taking a very long time to fall asleep and ends up sleeping very late (around 10pm to 10.30pm). She also has been needing a lot of attention and cannot be left alone for long. Doing the housework while looking after her has also been very challenging. Hence, my husband is unsure if we will be able to manage when I am pregnant with our second child and when we have to look after both children, as we do not have a helper and our parents are not staying with us. I am considering having a part time helper to help with the housework during the weekends, but my husband is not very keen on the idea as he feels the main issue now is having to spend a lot of time putting baby to sleep and giving her a lot of attention. Also, I have been having difficulties wiping her mouth, teaching her how to brush her teeth, getting her to drink from the straw cup and even getting her to drink water. She would cry when her mouth is being wiped, when we want to feed her water, and when we want to teach her how to do things. Would appreciate if you have some tips on how to make these tasks easier! Also, how did you manage handling pregnancy while looking after your other child or children, and how did you manage looking after more than one child? Thank you in advance!

2023-10-19Our baby is 20w now and we went for a gender scan. To our surprise, there’s more to it, doctor diagnosed that my baby girl have spina bifida. There’s an extra white spot captured during the ultrasound. Doctor plan for next checkup in 2 weeks time. We got really devastated by that news and would like to seek any idea in what else could we do to remedy it. Is there anyone that faced this issue and was told that it was a false positive before?
2023-10-19Hi mummies, I am looking for some opinions from you. I am a first-time mom. My boy is now 21 months old, he started cc since Last month. At first, of course, he cried badly, but after a week, he started to enjoy and was so happy every day we put on his uniform. He would say "kul kul" (school) 😀. Although he actually still cries during class sometimes, I decided to try full day since last week. He sleeps so poorly, 20 - 30 minutes. He's usually a good napper at home, 2 - 3 hours. His teacher said that sometimes he cried badly when he woke up and disturbed other children. I know it's still less than 2 weeks he move to full day, and I've read many moms said it takes months for their kids to adjust. But I am kind of feeling guilty and keep asking myself if my LO is not ready for a full day. Should we move back to half day? Also, the teacher said he is still not comfortable with other teachers except her and still not playing with other children in his class. My LO sticks to her everywhere she goes. I have to admit my LO is a slow to warm up kid and shy. So it makes me think, is he not enjoying the cc? It's been 1 month, and he is still not making any friends. 2023-10-19I am feeling very upset recently as I don’t already spend time with my husband and we don’t live together and yet he says we should focus on work for our baby thus we can’t have a honeymoon. And he is paying for his mother’s trip , and when he goes Malaysia , I thought at least I can finally have some alone time with him, he ask his mum along (like wtf .. he is not single parent not only child)…even simple meal he ask his mum if she wants to join.. the thought of the lack of opportunity spending quality time just make me worry.. I don’t know if it’s my issue but I am seriously quite irritated by this kind of arrangement..I used to be so carefree and I feel my life is tied down by him and yet he does minimum effort to in spending quality time..

I left some dirty utensils in the sink,, in thought of he could help me wash it,, but nope,, waking up to the same dirty utensils in the sink. 2023-10-20Literally everyone (except my husband) would say things like your stomach is so small. You don’t look pregnant like every time. Sometimes it gets so annoying. I’m 6 months and it’s my first time. I’m a lot taller and my frame is bigger (shoulders wise). One colleague of mine even went on to say maybe because your stomach fats push your baby in. I’m not sure what stupid logic is that. Anyway I don’t think most of them mean anything bad!! It’s just frustrating hearing this almost every day. Anyone experience this? I’m still enjoying my pregnancy feeling her kick and all that but the comments….

2023-10-20Hi, can i check if anyone menses came back as soon they finish their postpartum bleed & while still breastfeeding? My pp bleed stopped for a couple of days. I did pap smear & noted some blood the day after. Then i continue to bleed & have abdominal cramps & some other menstrual symptoms which i usually have. I thought menses usually delayed when breastfeeding?

2023-10-20Just wanted to rant. Long post ahead. Please don't flame. I had no milk when I gave birth to baby. I couldn't breastfeed on the first day because I was so busy vomitting and fainting. Then all the pains (e.g cramps, episiotomy) came in and I still didn't breastfeed much on the 2nd day. I was upset but baby had to be fed. So I got the hospital nurses to feed him formula. When I reached home I had no milk still, but I ate pills to promote breast milk, power pump, pump every 2 hours even waking up from sleep to pump every 2 hours etc and my output increases from measly 2ml on my 3rd day to 120ml in 4 weeks! I was happy. During feeding, my husband would take out and use the entire bottle, and baby cannot finish the bottle and would regularly waste 20-30ml. This was okay to me at first because I consistently had 100 to 120ml and baby was drinking 80 to 100ml. But now baby increased to 100-120ml. I thought full is best, a little wastage is fine. But one feeding today, baby refused to drink anything more than 50ml and wasted 70ml. Due to frequent checkups, long hospital visitsvand activities, and departure of nanny, I had frequent missed pumps and my supply dropped to 90ml. =( I fed baby 90ml today. I know I could have added 30ml from the next bottle but I guess I was now hesitant to waste the milk. But baby did not sleep and was fussy. My MIL help to carry baby, she asks if he is hungry. I said maybe and made 80ml. He nearly fell asleep after screaming and waste my 80ml but luckily my mil mansged to wake him. After a while after feeding baby was crying, my husband came out and asked if baby was hungry again. I then thought about (felt guilty) making my baby go hungry because of my hesitancy to waste milk, then thought about all the wasted milk before, esp the 70ml, thought about how my supply May not be able to meet baby needs, worst of all, all the efforts that went into increasing my supply being wasted - I cried.

2023-10-20I bought the concert tickets before finding out abt my pregnancy and now contemplating if I should go. My nausea and vomiting is controlled. Only occasional tiredness and headache. I am debating so hard if I should attend the concert next week. Can anyone share their experience attending a concert while being pregnant? Would it be too uncomfortable? My seats are somewhat furthest from the stage but the crowd would be massive and I'm just fearful I'd be claustrophobic.

2023-10-20Whats the possible reasons baby vomited out milk? Either minutes or an hour after milk or while feeding. Baby on full formula, 80ml for 1 month old, using lactogen 1 since birth @ KKH & using avent natural 0 teat. Recently past few days or a week he has been vomiting out milk back. Not just spitting but vomit. He’s pooping fine, always fart, he’s always burped, stomach is not hard, and still gaining weight. I assume. As he’s weighing 4.4kg. Any reason why he could be doing this? No fever whatsoever. previously we tried to decrease the milk intake to 60ml or lower but still the same, and if we decrease he would still cry for milk and show hungry cues. Even when now feeding 80ml sometimes he’s still hungry and not full. Yet always vomit out. His next doc appt is only next week. #FTM

2023-10-21Help! Hi Mummies. I'm currently in 21 weeks pregnancy, having my 3rd baby. I'm a plus size, in my early 40s and my first 2 children were born above 3 kg and healthy. I had GDM for my previous 2 pregnancies but cleared after delivery. Every checkup with my gynae, she will always remind me not to gain weight. Being pregnant, I will gain weight eventho I did walking, eating healthy, etc... I'm a SAHM with no helper and will walk to send and fetch my older children to their pr schools to and from home as well as other home activities/errands. Sometimes, my gynae will say don't eat and give advices like drinking all no sugar, which I followed. No fruits coz fruits have sugar but can drink coffee black, which I didn't take coz I believe coffee black is high in caffeine as compared to teas. So far, for every ultrasound checkup, my baby is doing well and healthy, just my weight. I will be taking the glucose test next week, similar to my previous pregnancies. When I ask what other exercise is safe and effective for loosing weight at pregnancy, I was advised to do just walking, which is my daily routine. Sometimes, I feel a bit sad, coz all the food that we eat contains a certain amount of sugar. If I can't snack on fruits when I have hunger pangs, I don't know what to eat. I cook for my family but sometimes feel sad remembering "no food" or "cannot gain weight". I've always thought if there is no weight gain, it's not a good sign for baby and mummy? I'm so confused and stressed at times. Any advice, please? Sorry for the lengthy post. Just need to pour it out 😩

2023-10-21My baby is a dual race baby, malay chinese. According to islam, it is a great sin to shave the newborn's eyebrows no matter what. Just last night my husband suddenly realised my baby's eyebrow were gone. He looked at me and ask whether did my family (we are staying tgh with my family) or I shaved. I told him none of us shaved his eyebrow neither shaved any parts of his body. I add maybe it drop by itself. He keep staring at me as if he's dying for me to admit we shaved him. He recently putting alot of stress on me, whatever i do he will scold me. He was not like this before having a baby. So i cried out of panic as i was really scared he would flare up. He ask me if i didnt shave, why am i so scared until i cry? He then texted his mother to ask if eyebrow really drop on its own. His mom replied usually it will not drop by itself. All the more i cant proof my innocence. He even scolded my family members. Im really stress with him, i feel like everything i do, to him is wrong. Sorry to say, if i know that having a baby with him would happen like this i wouldnt have marry him.. 2023-10-21Any suggestions on how to remove cigarette smoke residue / particles from clothing? Just washed baby's bedsheets and smoker neighbour started smoking while the bedsheets are hung at service yard to dry... I know effects of third hand smoke is as bad as second hand smoke... whether there is any remedy instead of having rewashing the bedsheets since I dunno if the neughbour will smoke again after rewashing. Not sure which neighbour smoking since we know there are a couple smokers living below or above us, so hard to approach anyone to tell them stop smoking at windows.
