Is when my room all dark😂🙈 I need to spend 1-2 hours to make her sleep. 2023-10-02Is it normal for newborn to still perspire in an aircon room? Not really sweaty but his back will always be hot and kind of damp/sweaty a little. We always use short sleeve onesie and swaddle. Aircon is set to 26 degree .

2023-10-02I am 5 weeks along. Went to the doctor, did blood and urine test and even did a vaginal scan. Doctor said it’s too early to detect anything on the screen so ask to come back soon to do another blood test and scan. Now I’m experiencing bleeding. It started yesterday and it got heavier today. I’m not sure what is going on. Cos everything now - bleeding, headache, cramps - all seems to be like menses to me. What could this be?#pleasehelp

Showed me that baby has nasal bone and increased NT. I asked her if I shld be worried abt increased NT. She said don't be, that I should wait for the full report. Any moms can share their experience with this? I am trying my best not too worry but I won't lie that it's always at the back of my mind now.

2023-10-0214 days post csection and i just went to gp to take off my waterproof bandage (cs prev my wound was still wet) and now my csection incision is open and exposed, i feel so scared😭 And I finally had my proper shower, i just shower from back and let water drip down, cause im so scared ill feel pain on my incision. 2023-10-02Hi mummies or parents, quite a few times when my daughter is laying on her back she keeps her legs stiff as a board and she would clench her fist/ hold onto smth to tightly. Everything I'm reading says hypertonia, her pediatrician keeps saying she's fine, but it seems of to me.. we brought her to physio/ TCM and even neuro when she was like 4-months old, and now that she's 10-month she still has these actions. I would say she's hitting her milestones, like able to crawl, stand on her own and cruise along furnitures, roll back n forth sit unassisted etc. babbles and all too. Anybody faces this issue before? Does anyone have success stories to share of successful live births after a miscarriage, and when you started trying to conceive again/how long it took you to conceive? 2023-10-02Hi everyone, expecting a baby in 2 months and looking to get a stroller and car seat (looking for separate ones as we have a car). My considerations are something that is safe yet can grow with baby. For car seat, I feel like some car seats that say can start from birth till 4 years, but they don't seem to recline a lot for infant use. Looks more upright to me. Any recommendations? 2023-10-02hi im a ftm here, just wondering if any mummies can share their experience on getting induced labour at kkh? went for my 39th week appt last week and was told that if by the next appt on my 40th week i still show no signs of labour, they would proceed on to induce me. Still have no idea on how much i have dilated or have i yet to dilate because the last appt i went they told me to they would check below on the next appt only. just wondering if they schedule me for an induced labour, what are the procedures like? will i be admitted to the normal ward first or will they straight admit me to the delivery suite and start breaking waterbag from there?

2023-10-03Doesnt it sucks that husbands only get 10 days of paternity leave ? Theyre equally important as the mother. Esp when the mother has gone thru csect and unable to function and walk for few weeks. My husband’s paternity leave just ended and i can’t help but to keep crying. Aside from i need help with the baby, I also miss him being home the whole day 😔☹️ Really hope soon i’ll adapt and get used to it. 2023-10-03My baby is 10 weeks old and for the last 2 weeks he only takes 15min to 30 min naps in the day. He will wake up wailing and crying murder to be held, i will have to carry him to sleep, but the moment i put him back in cot he will start crying again. Even if he falls asleep in cot or xfered to cot successfully he will only sleep for 15 to 30min before waking up wailing again.. Is this normal? Just a phase? He used to sleep longer naps in the day. I do play with him about 30min or feed him if he is hungry until he gives me sleepy cues. Room is good temp and dark and quiet. At night he has no issues falling asleep by himself and can sleep several hours at one stretch. But in the day he just wont sleep by himself in bed and only catnaps. 2023-10-04My child turning N1 next year, today was notify by school teacher that not allow put stroller outside school. Daily need dabao food, carry laptop bag and need hold hand with child go home. 2023-10-04My baby is formula fed, is it normal for him to go from previously every 3 hours to 2 hourly and sometimes even 1.5hr, especially at night he will cry. We did increase to 60ml, but we notice he tend to spit out milk quite frequently so we decreased back to 50ml. Is this normal. My baby is 16 days old And yes baby is always swaddled, burp after everyfeed, pacifier when needed, stomach is soft.
2023-10-04At which month did your newborn start to sleep longer especially at night. My newborn is 2weeks++ sometimes he barely even sleep, especially at night and always cry. He’s feeding on 2hourly formula. I thought formula suppose to make them more full.

2023-10-04I remember when i was pregnant everybody would tell me no matter how bad your pregnancy is or how long your labour is, once you see your baby being born, everypain will go away. But i dont feel it. I went thru emergency csect due to failurr to progress, and when they placed my baby on my chest, i honestly felt nothing. I even want them to get it away from me maybe cause i was shivering, and wanting to vomit etc. Up till now, 2 weeks+ i still dont feel the connection with my baby. I feel very burdened. I feel like my life has been taken away. Sometimes i feel like giving the baby away. I feel bad that my baby has a mother like me, thats not loving as others. Am i really bad and useless.

2023-10-04my newborn can latch for half hour and the moment I put her down, she starts to cry. Tried to burp her im case colic, soothe her by carrying her but all these doesnt stop her crying. She cry so loudly until her face turn red. I have no choice but to latch her back again. This cycle can continue for many times as long as she is not sleeping. She used to sleep 2-3hours before feeding but now with this habit, she sleep at most half hour and keep crying till i latch her. Is it normal for newborn to behave this way? If everytime she cry i latch her, will i be overfeeding her?

2023-10-05I am 2 weeks post csect. Is it normal to feel extra overly attached to your husband after having a baby. As he’s the only one thats been with you throughout your whole long labor and during your breakdowns post partum and the one always take care of you and the baby. And when he’s back to work, i always cry and cry and cry cause i just miss him and his presence. Literally cry every single minute hour, and would cry extra when baby is cranky dont want to sleep. How i wish husbands/dads would get the same length of paternity leave as mothers, cause they deserve the same, especially the ones thats really hands on and help out alot. And is it normal to cry cs you feel bad for your husband for always needing to take care of baby almost 24/7 during your recovery. I feel like im stealing away his sleep, his life. Or am i just emotional because of the hormones and pain after birth. #firsttimemom
2023-10-05My 8 weeks baby seems catnapping and difficult to put her into nap It is not that i force her to nap but she is very tired and sleepy so i help her to sleep by rocking, singing lullaby and all but within 10-30 mins she is awake and start being cranky and keep yawning. 2023-10-05Hi, I just gave birth to a 2.8kg baby and my baby is now 15 days (3 weeks) old and weighs 3.6kg. TDLR: Is 90+ml or more per 3-4hr enough or too much for a 3 week old baby? Even if used same amount as supplement after breast feeding? Should I just exclusively pump and bottlefeed instead? Details: My confinement nanny is always worried baby has not enough to drink, and feeds baby 90ml (breastmilk) per feed every 3 to 4 hours. She feeds my baby 70ml per feed at 2 weeks. This is so even right after I breast feed my baby. I breast feed every daytime and leaves her to bottle feed every night. She advices me that it is very tiring for baby to nurse and just feed from the bottle instead and that baby never gets enough from nursing since my baby always fusses even after breast feeding. I secretly feel that it's because my baby is used to being over fed so if he did not get enough per nurse he will fuss. If he cannot sleep, he will want to nurse also, my nanny will use the teat at night and if it doesn't work, she will feed also. In the beginning I was indeed worried that I have not enough milk to breast feed my baby, so I supplement with formula. I use a bottle with a harder teat and my baby takes 20-30 minutes to feed from bottle. She says teat is too hard, so we got a few other teats, until we got a extra soft avent bottle teat. My baby finishes 70-90ml milk in 5 minutes. Because of lack of nursing and pumping in the beginning due to being in pain and getting sick (like fever and chills and all and have to make trips to hospital), I am lacking behind in my milk supply. But I still pump around 40-50ml per breast currently. But every time after breast feeding, which may take quite long actually (like 30-40 minutes or so on both breasts) my nanny will still supplement him with milk after that because he start to fuss and cry again. I told her to feed perhaps just 60ml since I just breast fed him, she did and then after that tell me my baby is still hungry and proceeds to feed him the original 30ml as well. This is the amount she feeds regularly. This doesn't make sense to me and also makes me feel entirely extra - like I shouldn't nurse at all, just feed bottle instead. Anyway, I was wondering if I am overfeeding my baby, and should I just give up on nursing and exclusively pump feed instead? #pleasehelp #firstbaby #advicepls #FTM

2023-10-06Hi mummies-to-be, I just want everyone to be cautious of this freelance confinement nanny who goes by May. L** M** H***. We'd wanted to just let things go but the last straw was finding out she'd cut our baby's bottle teats and that's the reason why baby's been choking 😡 On top of that... 1. First day came late, we had to buy her dinner. Did not contribute to anything and even broke my breast pump part on Day 1. Did not apologise. 2. Anti-breastfeeding. Likely she has no knowledge of how breastfeeding works. Keeps telling me not to try so hard when my milk supply has yet to kick in, keeps promoting formula and even mocked about my efforts to my mother. 3. Gave baby an alarming amount of milk as a 2/3-week-old infant. Suspect she's taking the easy way out because she wants to get him to sleep. 4. Gossips too much and makes too many unnecessary comments. Overstays her welcome when guests come over. No one wants to hear her grandmother stories but she doesn't know when to stop. 5. Inconsiderate towards the mother who is undergoing confinement. Insists on opening all the windows and doors everyday because it is hot, even when the weather is rainy and the wind isn't good for me. 6. Unhappy we didn't invite her to an intimate man yue family lunch and bitched about it to my mum. 7. Shows black face when relatives come over wanting to see baby. 8. Reluctant to let me hold my own baby. 9. Reluctant to listen to anyone's opinions. 10. Treats me like I'm a child. She slaps my butt sometimes lol. Hello? 11. Other things like flushing hair down the toilet bowl / pipes, turning on aircon without closing windows show that she doesn't respect our home. 12. Food is ok but she got so lazy towards the end she served me tofu and frozen fried chicken. 13. Burnt my pot, didn't tell me and even denied when confronted. ... Amongst many other things. Please DO NOT engage her.

Have been experiencing cramps at night especially before bedtime and also tummy pain (diarrhea).. also experienced nose bleed - only on right side of nostril. Sigh. Took blood test too and all seems good. Also still can feel baby movement. Anyone else experiencing the same / similar?
