2023-08-21I have had sever itching on my limbs and belly from 37th week of my first pregnancy. i had undergone tests for cholestasis, but the results came out negative. the itching persisted till the delivery and it disappeared the moment the baby was born. Did anybody came across a similar experience? Im currently 11 weeks pregnant and is worried if it would recur this time as well. Any information on this? #cholestasis #itching #thirsdtrimester

2023-08-21Anyone have good gynae at TMC to recommend? Currently with Dr Janice but the backend customer service are quite bad, don’t reply nor ans phone call. They took 1 days or days to reply . And it’s so hard to get hold to my gynae if I have some issue to ask and check with. Feel like changing to another gyane.

2023-08-21I am currently at 7 weeks and have been struggling to work normally. I have morning sickness which last till night, thank god for metoclopramide I am better. But there is also the fatigue which hits me, it's a different kind of tired altogether. I've never felt so tired, I normally take a few naps during weekends but during weekdays, I can't with work at office. How do you cope being at work during your first trimester? Please share some tips.
2023-08-21Hi mummies, i recently changed to private gynae @ KKH. She told me choosing of ward type is based on first come first serve and can be done on admission day itself. I wanted Ward A bt she says it depends on the availability of the ward during that day. Do i just pack my husband’s things too ? Incase i get the A1 ward? 2023-08-21Im currently 36 weeks and i believe altho my edd is in 4 weeks time, i can still give birth anytime from now. However i cant help but to feel scared of giving birth. I know the pain will be beyond words. And im scared of the life after having a baby as i heard its very traumatising especially the first few months. 😭😭 My husband cant wait for the baby to arrive but i believe husbands wont really know what we will be going through. 2023-08-21My baby is turning 6 months old in 2 days time. She have not been drinking her milk very well since last few weeks. Will only drink it after every 4 hour or when she is very hungry. Have already changed the teat, adjust the temperature, try to adjust the environment. But still the same. Currently, she taking the Similac Total Comfort. Her bowel movement is ok. I'm thinking maybe she do not like the taste of the milk. And I'm considering to change her formula milk to another brand. Is it normal that at this stage theres lesser strong kicks, more to softer kicks & most of the time its just baby moving around and kind of sticking butt out or something. I I heard sometimes because theres lesser space but i also sometimes overthink. But baby still move morning afternoon evening and night. #FTM

2023-08-21My 5 month++ old son always seems hungry. I wonder if it’s normal thing for baby boy? I normally feed him every 3 hours, 150 ml. But recently, it went to every 2 hours or sometimes even after one hour of his feeds he will be very fussy. Tried so many things like put him to sleep or etc but doesn’t works. After feeding him milk again, he’s ok. I’m afraid of overfeeding him but so far he doesn’t throw out milk. #firsttimemom

2023-08-21My husband ask me if he is needed whenever I say I have a gynae visit which is kind of irritating me very big time. I feel he does not want to be involve and rather be at work than to go through these pregnancy with me. I have always been independent. I never needed him for such things but after I started talking to my friends and realise , everyone’s partner accompany them for almost every gynae check which make me start to feel irritated when he ask me why I have so many checkup just because 2 is arranged by kkH and 1 is by private gynae and all happen in 1 month to go through the FTS and etc… I don’t know if it’s my hormones or is he really making my pregnancy lonely..

2023-08-21After washing and sterilise, where do you store your pumps parts (including those milk cup collector & hakaa) and avoid it from getting dusty? I dont wish to use the fridge hack as i read that its not safe. I dont think i would want to leave it in uv steriliser as steriliser is in the kitchen and would be hard for me to take whenever i want to pump esp at night. Can i just store it in a lid container and put in my room/side trolley ? Or put in silicone/reusable ziplock bag. #FTM
2023-08-21After pumping session my nipple will hurt However if baby latch, it wont be painful. But if i dont pump then i latch bb the milk will come out too fast for bb. What is the best solution for this? And anyone have same experience as me? #FTM #firsttimemom

2023-08-22Hi mommies, ill be delivering in less than a month and would like to know. (KKH) What do we do or how do i feed my newborn if after delivery and we’re otw back home (assuming i live far from hospital) and baby cries for milk. But im unable to breastfeed due to either both unable to latch or my milk/colostrum have yet to kick in/too little. Any mommies encountered this before? Or what do i do ? Am i actually able to ask hospital for premade formula milk bottle for standby before going back incase baby need urgently? Since milk can last in room temp for atleast 2hrs. 2023-08-22How to deal with nausea? Im given the pill but its to be taken at night before bedtime but i usually doze off and forget to take it. Then next morning the bloated and nausea comes, can only count on sour plum. #week7
2023-08-22Hi mummies & mummies-to-be. I’m currently 39w1d. No signs of labour yet other than mild cramping & tightening. Exercising everyday, moving around alot at home and still no signs. My next appt is this coming friday. Gynae told me that she hope ill be in labour before the appt as she said my belly is too big already. Which i dont even know what does “too big” meant for her. 2023-08-22My baby right eye is always watery. We try to clear her nasal by nasal spray every now and then. But the water in eyes is always there. We did all suggested by pediatrician. It stops then again it starts within days. Tried eye drops and nasal spray together too. Any suggestions to stop this? 2023-08-22Currently in late 3rd trimester, working desk bound. Anyone experience pain, like a muscle strain/stretched, from back of knee till back of calf when standing or walking after sitting down for a while ? I realised i always get that pain after sitting on my desk for awhile 😣 Can be very painful at times, but not excruciating to the point i cant walk. #FTM
2023-08-22I have been struggling with milk supply due to thyroid issues and decided for this baby, I will feed him formula milk from Day 1. Anyone else have experience doing this? How practical is it to bring milk bottles and milk powder? Is it easy to wash and sterilise? I'll be delivering at TMC. Thank you!

2023-08-22What is your baby’s weight at 35 weeks? Went for my regular appt today and turns out baby is 3.1kg at 35 weeks and estimated to be 3.8-4kg at birth. Gynae was saying that this baby is large. I asked about whether I should take note of my diet etc but was told that there’s nothing much that I can do about it because it’s mostly genes. Just wondering is there really nth that I can do? I want to avoid c-sect as much as possible. I’m a FTM!

2023-08-22Hi ladies! I just tested positive and it's quite a shock to me since I have PCOS and have believed it would be hard to conceive. Still processing the news as it's an accident! Because of irregular periods I can't tell how far along I actually am and feel I should get get gynae check early on given higher risk of miscarriage. Does anyone have recommendations for gynaes who are experienced with PCOS pregnancies?

Been experiencing the pain (like a bruising pain and not sharp) & was wondering if that's the effect of the stomach growing or is it because I've been sleeping on my sides hence the pressure causing it to 'bruise' inside.

2023-08-22My post partum period stopped 10 days after giving birth. I went for my gynae visit yesterday and my gynae said that if it stops now it’s bad, it should last at least another 2-3 more weeks. Is it really bad? 2023-08-23Hi all, I just went for my first gynae check up yesterday at 9 weeks! There was an ovarian cyst that's 20cm huge. Gynae suggested to remove the ovarian cyst at 2nd trimester but there might be a risk of miscarriage. Just want to check if anyone goes through this and what was the choices made 🥺😭
2023-08-23Anyone experience dry, itchy and flaky scalp during pregnancy? I actually had this since Jun, been to doctors twice tried Dermasone & Ketanozole 2%(only tried once till I found out I am 5 weeks pregnant and don’t dare to continue) , bought other shampoos as well like Selsun blue(contains ammonia) & just started on Sebamed everyday shampoo but it doesn’t seem to get better. The 2nd pic was the amount of flakes on my pillow. I wash my hair everyday because it’s very itchy. I don’t know what I can use to relieve me, anyone had the same problem & resolved the issue? When I try to put fish oil the other day, my flakes became huge & yellowish I stopped.😖😩😭#advicepls #FTM
2023-08-23i feel like i'm sinking into depression after giving birth... pregnancy was tough, high risk, hosp visits every 2 weeks, i was working ft and had a pt job, my husband didnt contribute much towards my appointments/ preparing for baby... he didnt even give me money for expenses. he MIA 2 weeks after i gave birth, came back home with tattoo, caught him cheating on me thrice as of now. want to divorce but he owes me $10k but fat hope of getting my money back lol. now he will call me "fucking dog" he likes to play victim. tells me he doesnt care about me. i wanted to kiss baby and he pulled and twisted my wrist that is already hurting from carrying baby a lot. punched my arms too. i hate him to the core. finding strength to walk away from this relationship.

If I go for kkh appt in later this year, during my first consultation with doc can I get an answer from doc that I can proceed with doc? Or I will not be allow with ivf? 2023-08-23Hi! Are there any feedback on Madam Ida? I tried engaging her for lactation massage and I don’t have a good impression of her so far. Initially she said will come after 12pm and then msg to say 5-5.30pm the day before. However, on the day of the appointment, she did not inform me that she is unwell and unable to make it when I texted her at 4 plus pm to ask if I need to prepare any items upfront.

2023-08-24I heard that newborn babies shouldn’t be sat up right. However I’ve the doona stroller+car seat. Car seat is fine as baby will be lying down. But as for the stroller, baby seems to be sat upright which isn’t good for the posture according to the older generations. Can someone advise on this?🙁
2023-08-24Had bleeding last night. It was like period n I bleed heavily for whole night. Panicking, went A&E in the morning. They did a scan and found some dark shadow beside the pregnancy sac. Suspected blood clots that is causing the bleeding. As I had my weekly jab yesterday and already on high dose of medicine, gynae ask me to monitor at hm. If heavy bleeding again, hv to go back A&E. Fingers crossed. Wish us luck.

2023-08-24Doctor has removed dressing for my c sect wound and gave me gel to apply. But past 2 days i feel my pain on my incision (particularly at night), it feels like the skin is opening and closing but when i look at the wound it is actually closed. Anyone has same experience?
2023-08-24I tried stopping swaddling my baby after 1 month and notice she gets startled easily or have Moro reflexes in her sleep but when we swaddle her, she seems to wriggle to get out of it and the weather is so hot and humid.#advicepls #pleasehelp

2023-08-25Mums from the pic i tested same day right after i dip the strip n right away the clear blue. My test line is not darker yet i got smiley face? Hmmm i confuse digital say “ur 2 most fertile days” to no avail. Got 10 pieces every month try also same or isit not not accurate cos the strip test line also not darker… just feel i forgot how to make baby. Yes the first baby is so easy. I give up on checking every time. The recent what i did is i feel something wet discharged flow out i took the test strip then i see the test line slightly darker. We did it but still no good news. Sad 😔. I read some articles or comments saying “ u are most fertile right after giving birth and not breastfeeding. I am 11 months postpartum.. and is lucky i did also on birth control . U know after u give birth the nurses advice to take birth control etc..

2023-08-25Hi Mummies! I am first time mom my baby is 7 months old. Yesterday, I had a big fight with my husband. This is my first time I feel I should not marry him and have baby. His baby his top priority, his baby is treasure. Cant let anything happen to the baby. And for me I want to balance is out baby and him. For him, i never taking care the baby with heart and point out all the mistakes I did. He said you are the mother but no connection at all and still show the comparison when the baby look at him and me. When I realised I am bad mother and worst. My baby doesn’t like me. After that I realised i lost my partner, lover and husband. He is just a father for my baby. My heart has died. I don’t deserve to be a mother. I don’t think this is happened to any of u 😅 #advicepls

2023-08-25I tested positive with a faint line on sat 19.08 & i am late for my period 19days. Tested again on tuesday morning 22.08, but darker line this time round. i didnt managed to take a photo. 2023-08-25hello, I am gonna be solo parenting for the next week, as hubs usually goes out at 8am and comes home at 9pm and then do housework etc till 11pm then hold baby and then do night shift. Is there any tips mums can share for solo parenting? I feel mentally I will be super exhausted . And also what to do when you want to poo but bb is crying? Also, how to handle bb when you are pumping bm ? I believe I will be quite sleepy during this long stretch of time as well . Now hubs say he has to work on Saturdays in September too 🫠 i really don't know what to do as a ftm to my 7 weeks old bb.

2023-08-25Hi :) Am a first time mum with scoliosis who is going to give birth really soon. I was advised by anaesthetist that there are higher risks for epidural not being effective for me or resulting in worsened back pain after birth hence she recommended for an alternative pain relief options such as laughing gas or PCA Fentanyl through IV. I’m feeling scared and worried of labour pains without epidural 😢 Any mums with scoliosis who had to choose alternative pain relief? How were your experiences like?

Cold drinks as in ice water only not like sweet drinks etc. And ppl have been telling me not to but i just cant control bc nowadays the weather is very humid as well then i will tend to drink cold mineral water , and they say if i drink cold water my newborn will have phlegm and difficult to handle, Issit true or a myth ? 2023-08-26Hi Mummies, i am currently 4 month postpartum and my milk is decreasing. Any recommendation to boost my milk supply? I only manage to do powerpumping every day only at night , as in the day i have to do housechores and send my toddler to school. My 4 month old have gotten sick back to back so i didnt let her latch much as i'm afraid she will get dehydrated. But ever since then, my milk keep dropping cause i didnt let her latch or she just too tired to even latch as much. She got sick often as her brother started playground. So for now about 3 month they get sick every or two week. The stress of taking care of newborn toddler all alone as husband works. And the thought of housechore keep compiling.
