2023-08-07I just gave birth and I feel stressed about taking care of a newborn alone when my hubby went back to work. I really don't know what to do if the baby cries, or feels sick or other things that might happen. I have attended a talk on how to do basic care for a baby but I still feel not so confident. My friends who have kids told me I will learn along the way and get used to the routine of taking care of a newborn and maternal instincts will kick in. But I am not so sure and feeling worried that I can't give the best care to my newborn baby. Please help 😭#FTM #advicepls #firstbaby #pleasehelp
2023-08-07I'm 17 weeks pregnant and the nausea is still bad. I've tried diclectin and zofran but it does not help. Gynae said it can be like that for some women. The supplements tend to make it more worse sometimes. #advicepls
2023-08-07My discharge increased during 2nd trim, but i didnt expect for it to increase more in 3rd trim🥵 i dont have itchiness or infection or whatsoever and the discharge is milky white or sometimes clear. I dont wear underwear or pantyliner at home and sometimes to the point it drips on my leg to the point that i thought its water bag leakage but apparently its my discharge. Sometimes after just going to toilet, itll come out again. Its not like alot alot but more to the frequency of it coming out. Is this normal? Currently 34weeks. #FTM

2023-08-07I have decided to get epidural when im giving birth in weeks to come. How does epidural feels like? Is it painful when they insert it ? 2023-08-07I’m going for natural delivery with epidural. Will be due in about 2 weeks or so. But reading about the immediate side effects is making me think twice. Not so scared of the needle going into the spine part but more afraid of the immediate side effects like shivering and vomiting as mentioned by many mommies. 2023-08-07To mummies who gave birth at KKH and/or NUH, could you share your experience on what birth positions they allow? Does the hospital allow you to bring yoga ball or move around the room before the actual pushing? If they do allow, at what cm dilation do they insist you to be on bed? And once on bed, is it a must to be on your back? I'm first time mum and watch a lot of vids where women get to move around. I wish I can do that too to fasten the labour. But I do know they strap the baby heart rate monitor on you (not sure at what cm dilation), so that may restrict movement? Appreciate all advice and insights. I didnt expect to come period on 31st July. Because my actual menses supposed to happen on the 22 July. I thought I am pregnant since I'm late for about a week. So I try to test for pregnancy but it turns out negative. Despite having all the pregnancy symptoms. Then again I try test again a week later after my menses since my symptoms getting stronger. 2023-08-08Hi mummies, my 3m baby been crying while she is asleep. This happen sometimes during her day nap and night sleep. She will wake up between 4-6AM crying until she gets her pacifier. This continues through the timing stated meaning, she will wake up a few times and will only sleep well around 6 plus am. Has anyone ever experience this? Many thanks

2023-08-09It started around early July. It was bad but she managed to poop after we gave gripe water (dont actually if coincidence or really worked). Then until now, her poops are a mixture of hard small rounded stools + normal stool. Today, it has been 2 days since she pooped and it seems hard for her to pass motion. She's been squirming but nothing comes out. Any advise to share? She's on solids and formula. Her appetite seems okay, eats brocolli/carrot and fruits.

2023-08-10Hi mummies, any of you experienced terrible lower back ache during your pregnancy? I’m now about 16 weeks and while my stomach is not very obvious yet, the baby is blocking my insides so I can’t even bend over forward to stretch my back if I need to. The back ache is a lot worse when I stand for too long (eg cooking) or after sleeping. It’s painful enough to wake me up to toss and turn at night. Anyone with any solutions or advice please? 2023-08-10Ftm and My Baby has turn 1 Month and 10days. I need help/advise. Is it normal for BB to cry and don't sleep usually this happened at night 9pm onwards, at times will be after feeding and burping 3am onwards. BB will cry and seems to be very fussy, tried to calm her but just don't go.. tried many positions to get her to sleep but still the same, this will happen in the morning too.. Is this normal ? What can i do..i am exhausted..and plus i don't think i have a good recovery and rest due to this...at one point i just broke down while my bb kept crying non stop, i just feel like putting her down and just lock my self...can this also lead to PP Depression? 2023-08-10I am stayhome new mom of 3 months of baby boy. I recently hired a indo maid (34) to help specifically with housework. I can manage house and baby well but my husband insisted to hire maid. She is short, fat and talkative. I'm a very private person and like to be alone with my baby. On 1st day, she tried to rub my arm and try to sweet talk to me. I feel disgusted as I hate people pleaser. On 3rd day, she asked "mdm can I follow you when you oversea?". I'm a very independent person and I hate someone following me when I go outside ( aside from friends and families). I feel obligated to force to talk to her or buy her something when I allow her to follow me. So when I go out alone with baby, she asked " where you go? Where you do? Who you meet?" When my online parcels arrive, she asked " what's inside?? For who??" I gave her wifi password, allow her to go out when she's free, she can take naps during day and everyday, she can eat everything inside the fridge and I give her allowance to go pasar malam. She sleeps at 8pm every night and start work at 7am. She said she scare to go out alone, no friends in sg and want to follow me everywhere. I feel like I have another burden. She pretend to be soo nice to my son in front of me. She keeps saying " oh mdm you have very nice things, baby has all nice things hor" She drinks coffee 2 times a day with sugar, bread ( requested me to get bigger bread for her), finish all chocolate within 2 weeks, eat 2 cups of rice each meal. I ask her go ntuc, she said tired so she buy potato chips, another trip said tired so buy drinks ( ntuc only 5 mins away). I started to feel so suffocated around her. I don't allow her in my room as she tried to wear my shoes. I feel like I have to keep cctv in my room just in case. Btw she can't even mix baby formula with water. How? She forced to carry my baby and I don't trust her as she try to give solid food ( she said she did the same with her babies). Updates: she finished whole huge bag of rice within 3 weeks. I am shocked as my family eat that bag for a year. So I expected it to last at least 2 months. She wakes up at 7 am .. Later than emplor family and every night sleeps at 8pm. Lol she is having too much good time here.

2023-08-11I need to let this out my chest. Been crying till I couldn’t breathe. I have suffered so many during the course of my 5 yr marriage. Being lied to, cheated on, hurt physically emotionally and mentally. But i still took him in, still forgives him and give my all as wife everyday. Just recently i told him as i aged (i am in mid 30s) i noticed an increasingly amount of jealousy. I have never not once been a jealous person but on 2 separate occasions i TOLD him i felt a certain way when he was acting strangely. Told him nicely at first but he is lousy dont know how to calm my overthinking mind. i went through so much in the past of course i still have that trauma. And just this second time i showed my jealousy, when he was videocalling me and his friend came and he muted the call, i asked him and his reason was nonsense- coz of some vulgarity as though im a kid. And just this 2nd time i sulk, he said this to me “please stop before i stop having feelings for u” just this 2 times. After many yrs together. But i. Went through. Years of pain. I had to live through the pain of living with someone who caused me a painful past. Flashbacks after flashbacks. I may be stupid for forgiving him but i have children so it is not as easy as walking out and goodbye. I am just so upset that i am not able to put in words. Am I overreacting? Its just twice. On separate occasions. I didnt sleep with anybody unlike him. But this 2 times, i gave in and apologised. In fact, 99% of our arguments i would be the first to say sorry and move on. Why is my life so miserable. I am just really sad for myself.

2023-08-11Hi all, we went out today. My little one wore a pants that is over-the-knee length, the length reaches about the middle of her calf. When we came back we saw that she have these red spots, even at her upper thighs above the knee (which was supposed to be covered by her pants). We are mostly indoors today don’t think I see any mosquitoes, so I’m perplexed how she could have so many red spots that seem like mosquito/insect bites… may I know what could have caused these? Or is she sensitive to certain materials? There is one red patch at her right foot too. Not sure if this is caused by the materials on her baby stroller? Ive been using bio oil + palmer’s lotion religiously twice a day since 1st trim, however ive started to notice overnight @34w suddenly stretchmarks starts to appear here and there 😭 Stretch mark on belly is common as the skin is stretching however i also have on my tight butt cheeks and both thighs. As far as i know my butt and thigh is still the same size as before and doesnt expand but how come theres stretchmarks there ? Its the red/purple ones 😭 Is it common to have stretch marks on butt cheeks and side of both thighs ?? Will it ever fade post delivery if i continue using the stretch mark lotion ? #FTM

Every feeding, he will poo. I thought is ok, and my in law is saying that is normal. But now, he is having blood mucus. Should I bring him to hospital A&E as now is midnight/ wait till morning go back to the baby clinic to see doctor? Or we’ll be sent to our ward first ? When do they strap the ctg thing & check dilation ? Can walk me through the procedure/steps? So i know what to expect. As for ward stay charges, they will only charge the days post delivery stay right ? Not before the stay in the event we have to stay at ward before being pushed to labour room. #FTM

2023-08-12I've been having harden tummy for the past few days. There are times when it is quite bad till I can't move or I can only lie down. In additional, I feel the stretch from my vagina to the middle of my tummy. It's like a straight line stretch which is quite disturbing and at time painful.
