2023-07-31Hi, fellow mummies! FTM here.. I'm currently 38 weeks and considering membrane sweep.. it was mentioned during my previous gynae checkup. So just wondering if any of you here ever went through with this procedure and is it recommended? Also, I'm having this irrational fear that my baby doesn't want to come out.. 😅 because I've yet to see any dislodge of mucus plug or bloody show or any major signs of labour. Just a lot of pooping time, "menses cramp" feeling and sore back. Is having a "bloody show" a right of passage for Labour or not always? Thank you to any of you for answering my worries.

2023-08-01Hi I'm a FTM, currently im pumping only 100-150ml a pump, 3 times a day as my work is quite busy. would like to know if i should consider increasing milk supply at this stage or not? I have quite an issue with clogged ducts and have to go for massages regularly. I'm afraid if i increase my supply I'll have clogged ducts more often. Would like to hear your thoughts and advise! 2023-08-01I have a nursery room with baby crib and my baby sleep in that room now with confinement nanny. I am thinking of co sleeping with my baby by moving her crib in my master bedroom when the confinement nanny leaves us in 1 week's time. however, I am worried that i may disturb my hubby sleep during midnight when I feed the baby or the baby cannot get used to my room (co sleep with me). Have been exclusively breastfeeding baby for awhile and only recently introduced the bottle. How do I know how much milk my baby needs because it seems every time she's bottlefed, she asks for more. The amount I give is based on this feeding chart.

I read online that baby goes through a growth spurt at 3 months but however, there is very little info on it. I never had a problem with my milk supply until 3 days ago when this ‘cluster feeding’ happen. Even if i tried using bottle today, my baby also cry for a feed in 2hrs 15mins. First bottle: 100ml. 2nd bottle: 80ml. After this 2nd bottle, i latch her (feed her again) in 2hrs. Any other parents going through cluster feeding now?

2023-08-01Hi! My 8.5mth old doesn’t want to drink frozen breastmilk anymore. He latches most of the time, and only take bottle about 2 days a week when I go to work. He takes in solid well too, and is not on any formula milk. I have tried adding the breastmilk to cerealac and Oats, but he had rejected them. Thinking of adding just a small teaspoon of Milo Gao (no sugar) into the frozen breastmilk and let him drink using by straw. Any mummies done this before? If yes, pls share the outcome/effect. Thanks! P/s. I am aware that it is not recommended to add Milo. But am looking at another alternative besides formula.

2023-08-02Hi Mummies, Lately my 19 weeks old moves around in his sleep and I always find him in different positions in his cot. Sometimes he is very close to the railing of the cot and sometimes he will sleep on his tummy. But I can see that he sleeps comfortably. As a first time mum this is very new to me and worries me. I feel like putting him back to his position but also worry that will break his sleep. What do I do ? Is this kind of behaviour normal ? What do you all do when baby changes his position in sleep ? 2023-08-02I had my 20 weeks detailed scan yesterday at kkh. The whole process took ard 2 hrs as they need to do a really detailed scanning and measuring of baby's development etc. There was 2 nurse accessing me. The first young nurse was gentle. She did most of the measuring. She asked if its too.pinful as she pressed. As she couldnt detect the lips of the baby after so many tries, she told me that she will asked a senior nurse to do it. But this second nurse was really pressing it my tummy so hard that it hurts. And keep making the "tsk tsk" sound coz couldnt see the lips as baby covers with his hand. My tummy is still very damn painful today from all the pressings. I need to come back for another scan next monday. Anyone experience the same? 😔

2023-08-02My mom always demands money from me and my siblings. No matter how much we give, it is not enough for her because she will "upgrade" and buy/ be involved in things that incur more financial commitment. When me and my siblings won't comply, she would cry, complain, and make up stories among the siblings and relatives such that whoever fell for her story would stand up for her and contact us to "advise" us. "Mom is old, and it's not right that you all are working and not pay her". If no one stands for her, she will drive to my sister house to make a scene, scold and curse us. As my sister lives with the in law, we eventually have to comply to stop her from harassing and creating all these troubles to the husband and in laws. She is 62 yo, not working since 3 years ago. Divorced and married a man, 57yo who works as a store helper. She demands a car, petrol to meet friends in the day, gym club membership, expensive MLM beauty and supplement products, weekly 4D gambling, and commitment to multiple insurance policies. She previously had a business where she used our money to sustain her shop rent, utilities, and pay business loan. If theres any profit at all, she would spend it on 4D and herself. No matter how much we pay her, she doesnt save a single cent. After the business closed down, if not because we found a job for my mom's husband, she wanted us to bear the cost of both of their living. Giving excuse that 54 and 59 are old and cannot work anymore. Both refused to look for a job until thankfully we found a store helper job for the husband. When she is sick, she would take videos and pics of herself and broadcast it to the siblings and relatives, and ask for more money on top of the allowances that we paid her. She said she is sick and doesn't have money to see the doctor, so we have to pay her for that. But the medical bills, she nvr shows us. Though this has been happening for years, now that I'm pregnant, with my pregnancy symptoms, I feel I can't take it anymore. And with the birth of my baby, I wonder if I want to continue to live a life controlled by her like this. Anytime, any day there could be an "explosion" from her. It's very off and my sister told me we have to endure bcs she is our mom. I feel extremely stressed, and I want to be out from this kind of relationship. How do I cut her off from my life? Blocking her doesn't help, as my siblings/relatives will come to me and forward her audio msgs to me. I hate it when she curses us. #pleasehelp #FTM

2023-08-03My first born child is now 2 months plus. I am staying with my in-laws. They are kind to me and also adore my son very much as he is the first grandson to them. I have some arguments with my FIL previously as we have different views. He likes to carry my son for very long hours (2-3 hours) and always claim that he will definitely cry if he put him down. After much efforts I put in, my son now can sit on rocker/play on gym mat for 10-15 mins and also sleep on baby cot at night most of the times. He then said words like “eh, why he is not crying anymore?” whenever my son sit or play by himself. Now I feel possessive and hesitate to seek help from my in-laws. I even feel annoyed when they insisted to help me on something after I rejected them gently. On the other hand, I blame myself for having all these negative thoughts towards them.

2023-08-03Pelvic Pain @ 35 Weeks Hi mommies. I'm having a pelvic pain at a pain rate of 7/10. I'm still able to walk but walking slowly like a penguin. I will take few seconds to get up from my bed and walk slowly. So far there's no discharge. No contraction pain. No bloody show. The only thing that i'm facing is the pelvic pain. Should i be concern about this and head down to kkh or this is normal. Dont want to head down to kkh and ended up have to be send back. What are the red flags i should look out for? Second pregnancy. Baby is actively moving.

2023-08-03Im 35 week now and have been eating quite healthily up till my third trimester but ever since I've entered my 3rd trimester, I just feel like eating junk all the time. Fried food, ice cream, snacks, bbt, macdonalds... all these food like at least once or twice a week. Sometimes I can eat ice cream 3times a week. I feel so bad to my baby, but I can't help it. I try to compensate and eat more fruits and veg in my other meal. Is anyone else like that? :( I really hope I'm not the only mama here who can not control her cravings. Will it affect baby?

As I am a person that is very scare of hot warm weather and always can't do without fan. 2023-08-04im a ftm and my newborn’s almost a month old. ive tried breastfeeding during the first few weeks but stopped due to poor latch (due to inverted/flat nipple) that caused trauma to my nipples. im currently bottle feeding with BM and i cant help but feel guilty and super lost about not breastfeeding my LO. ive thought about seeing a lactation consultant but just didnt feel like it’s necessary. theres also concerns about going out and having to pump, making sure to feed just on time so the milk doesnt go to waste and stuff like that. #advicepls

2023-08-04Hi Ladies, I am currently expecting my 4th, and I'm 31 weeks preggo. I am keen to try normal delivery after 3 years gap from CSec. I have 3 kids, and my first 2 were normal deliveries. However, my 3rd was induced, and it was kind of a failed attempt as it ended up with a low fetal heart rate, and i ended up being wheeled to the Operation Theatre. 2023-08-0428 weeks pregnant, I have no doubt that I love my baby. However, some days these whelming thoughts creep up on me… will I be a good mum? How do I juggle work and baby? How do I build a career while being there with for my family? Will my marriage with my hubs change? Will I be resentful? Is my hubs ready to be a dad? Will I be a good daughter to my own mum now that my I have to divide more attention to everyone? Can I afford to raise my baby and provide for him to the best of my abilities? Will delivery hurt? Etc… I’m currently not working, but planning to return to the workforce after I deliver. Though I feel excited and happy for my baby’s arrival, I cant help but feel useless/ helpless in some ways and fearful of what is to come. Sighs…

2023-08-05Is it normal for the spouse not to attend the second pregnancy appointments? I’m in my 32 week. The only time my spouse accompanied me for the appointment was the first visit. Subsequently, i went for all the appointments on my own as he had just started work. Next week, it’s the growth scan and booking of the Caesarean date. I just reminded him and he said, i thought we agreed for me not to go. I was very sad and i walked out of the conversation. After his statement, it kinda made me feel like he doesn’t want to attend anything with the second kid. It makes me feel sad. Just wanted to check if any second time moms experience this with their spouses.

2023-08-05Recently I'm been feeling mentally and emotionally unbalanced with my in-laws. Been living tgt since married and I'm pregnant w their first grandchild and they still decided to move out to their new house leaving me behind when I need them the most. Although as mentioned tat will come back frequently to help but I just keep feeling tat it's so not the right time. Now I keep telling myself tat just let them be and I'll be fine but on the other hand I keep thinking and worrying. 😔 I know I will always have the support from my mom but as her health is not tat good I oso don't want to. 😔 I just keep thinking about y can't the in-law support more when it's their first grandchild (their own blood grandchild).
