2023-01-09Hi mummies! Hope you can help with my dilemma. My current gynae is Tan Shu Qi at KKH. I went under private cause I chose her as my gynae. She was so sweet, kind, and soft but today at my appt she told me she is away during my EDD so I have to choose between 2 doctors she recommended to me. Has anyone experienced with Jacqueline Jung or Serene Thain? I try to search Jacquline jung's review but can't find much about her.

2023-01-09Dear Mummies, I went for my Urgent O&G Centre @ KKH this morning. I am at 6 weeks now, having minor-moderate bearable cramps with no bleeding (can say almost everyday but at different time) what happen during my ultrasound scan was my baby is not there in my womb. 🥺 My heart fall into pieces when the doctor suspect i might be facing Ectopic pregnancy. From what appeared from the screen and picture shown empty gestational sac size about 4mm but without the Yolk sac/fetal pole. Doctor suspect Ectopic Pregnancy or maybe too many fluid in there that's why not clearly seen. (I'm a average size weight 64.. give u all imagine.. I'm not that fat.. lols) My heart fall into pieces but I'm controlling my tears infront of the doctor. Grab the taxi. In the taxi my tears slowly came out. (But still control my tears la.. paisey if the taxi driver know that I'm crying haha) After reach home, burst my tears all out. My heart really 💔. I'm really scared to go for surgery and what happen to me after the surgery? Will I able to make babies again? And I feel so pity with my baby that alive but outside the womb. Will I die faster? Life shorter after this or whatsmore. So many questions come out from my mind. The doc fix another appointment next Monday. Ultrasound again. She will update what is the next step. I'm hoping that the baby will be shown on the screen next week. Do pray for me and my baby. xoxo *Updated* - I'm currently at 7weeks 6days. After go thru all the O&G journey + Beta HCG + Detailed Scan Beta HCG 1st day: 1161 Beta HCG after 48hrs : 1181 (it shd be double up, but mine wasn't) 1st Ultra Sound Gestational sac size : 4mm 2nd Ultra Sound Gestational sac size : 7.9mm 3rd Ultra Sound Gestational sac size : 0.6mm (Failed as it getting smaller) My results turn to be a : Failure Pregnancy (no Ectopic) Vaginal scan: All fine. Now I'm started having light bleeding, maybe tomorrow I shall visit the KKH again if the heavy bleeding reach me. I would like to thank to all mummies here for always giving me nice, comfort & lovely comments. May you all mummy and your newborn baby always be healthy and fine. Shall meet all of you again for my next post (next pregnancy HAHA!) Not too soon as I need to recover first, pantang² first, ask makcik urut to massage & adjust² my rahim abit. 2023-01-09When will my LO ever sleep through the night 😭 He is 5.5months now, having 1 feed at midnight between 12-2am and stirs on and off throughout the night. I am desperate for him to sleep through the night so I can get a good night sleep too 😭 I know I sound selfish for wanting a good sleep but I am really really really tired. Some nights he only stirs for milk but some nights are harder when he stirs every hour for pat pats. He's been unwell the last 1 week where he caught a cold, this is the reason why he is behaving more clingy and sticky even at night when he sleeps? I feel really sad whenever I hear my colleague's baby (of similar age), sleeping through the night but my little one seems to be really far from sleeping through. #advicepls #pleasehelp

Mine is now 1y2m (corrected age) still have yet to walk and he tends to tiptoe at times. I will always correct him whenever he tiptoes. Is this an issue? Sleeping is very important to your child's health and well-being. You can make your baby/ newborn fall asleep without help from you through sleep training. You can use many tips and give or schedule your baby quality sleep for hours. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Here are some questions asked in our community, and we got the answers for you ✅ 👩 How do I know whether my baby has sleep disorder? Any symptoms to look out for? 👩‍⚕️There are a few types of sleep disorders with various symptoms. If you notice snoring, frequent awakenings that are atypical for the child's age, difficulties falling asleep and impairments in your child's daytime functioning, it would be wise to seek help from a professional trained in assessing infant sleep. 👩Our 14-month-old has slept from 6.30 pm straight for 12 hours .He refuse to get day time naps? How can we train him for proper sleeping schedule? 👩‍⚕️I can see how this can be worrying because most parents would expect a child this age to have a nap during the day. Nevertheless, every child is different. The total amount of sleep your child has seems normal for his age. However, if you're noticing that he seems overtired by 6:30PM, or would like him to have a nap to be able to stay awake till a later time, it is possible to support him to have a nap. You could either experiment around to find a napping schedule, or obtain professional help to develop a bedtime fading strategy. Bedtime fading is an evidence-based intervention programme that can be helpful to help your child build sufficient sleep pressure for nap times. 👩 My baby has used to sleep during latching. Otherwise she refuse to sleep. she is now 5 months old. How can I make her sleep without latching 👩‍⚕️It sounds like your baby has developed an association between breastfeeding and sleeping, and may need some help to break the association. You can help her to learn other sleep associations that may be more manageable for you. Examples include a specific bedtime toy, blanket or swaddle. You first start by waking her when she falls asleep while breastfeeding, before putting her down. Thereafter, you can support her to feel sleepy while she is in her bed with a consistent routine. For example, hand settling after swaddling her. Do expect resistance initially as your child is learning to adjust to change. It will also be very important for you to be supported while you're helping your child learn, as this process can feel very stressful!

2023-01-09My family and I were recently told off by Gojek driver in our recent trip. Me, my mom, my brother and his girlfriend boarded a Gojek car, and the driver asked if I’m pregnant. As soon as I said yes, he said we exceeded the 4 passengers cap. I was confused initially and he then said pregnant lady considered as 2 pax. My bro and the gf have to alight the car and book a separate car instead. I couldn’t find any information online and the Gojek customer support was not very helpful in clarifying. Anyone has similar experience and is it true that pregnant lady considered as 2 pax?

2023-01-10Hi mummies / mummies to be, anyone has large fibroid during their pregnancy and how’s your experience? Was wondering if there is any remedy? Mine grew from 8cm to 10cm and i’m only 7 weeks pregnant today. 😢 It has affected me terribly, both physically and mentally. I have a huge bloat and my stomach looks as if i’m 4-5 months pregnant. I lost my appetite as i’m always feel extremely full throughout the day with / without food, moving around is always difficult for me and i have breathing difficulty because of the bloat. I’m facing headache everyday, not sure if it’s related to the fibroid. Help 😭😢

2023-01-10My 1 month is drinking 120ml 2 hourly. Baby will scream for it. But when breastfed, he seems to be full after a few minutes and goes to sleep. Any idea why? I don’t even think i am producing 120ml per feeding:/

2023-01-10Hi moms, can share with me your experience after baby got 1st rotavirus vaccine please? Mine got his in the afternoon and was ok. We went home, changed and fed him, he fell asleep for 3 hours from 7-10pm. When he woke up for feeding at 10pm, he cried and screamed soooo loud after feeding, he was in so much pain and we didn't know what to do except to comfort him. He fell asleep few mins after we comfort him. Part of me regret taking the vaccine. I'm so worried it'd get worse.😔

2023-01-10hi mums. my lo is about 3 months and 7 days. usually he drinks 120ml every 3-3.5 hour. recently we realised that he spits up more often. we reduced to 90ml every 3 hours and no more spit up. question is, is it sufficient or am i under feeding him? once a while we tried to give 120ml, he can finish but seldom. but 90ml every 3 hours he will finish. last we checked his weight was about 5.3kg when he was 2 months old. i know about the formula calculation thing. he will drink less than 700ml per day. pee and poop is fine thought but i'm worried if i'm under feeding him and if it's not enough :(

2023-01-10Hi, I'm looking for a WFH job, either part-time or full-time. I've been a housewife ever since I'm 12 weeks pregnant w my 2nd child. After birth, I thought of working after recovering about 10 months but fate isn't on my side. Just a month I landed a full time job, my 1st child had to be withdrawn from CC due to his hyperactivity and I found out I'm pregnant w my 3rd child. So I have to resign and stay home to fully care for my child as I have no one else to turn to for help. My 2nd is in IFC. I hope to find a WFH job or short hour PT job. I understand the confinement nanny is here to help with care & also I should take the opportunity to have more rest/sleep in the night.. however, personally I am not quite comfortable with the arrangement of confinement nanny with baby in another room… i am ok for nanny to enter in and out of our room though.. 2023-01-11I’m feeling so stressed at work with overwhelming items to do while dealing with 2nd trimester. I’m in sales job so lots of pressure of numbers and requests from customers. I’m so stressed till I have no appetite to eat, can’t sleep well. 2nd trimester should be the time to enjoy with baby’s 1st movements but I’m just too bothered with work till I can’t be happy. 2023-01-12Hi all, I woke up this morning feeling a shooting pain from my wrist to my fingers and up to my arm. The pain got worse throughout the day so I've been searching on Google what kind of pain it is and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome came up. I've tried taking 4 panadol to ease the pain but it doesn't help a bit. I am currently 16 weeks pregnant. I've tried not to take medication even when having slight fever however this is really too painful and I can't do anything throughout the day. Anyway, panadol doesn't help it at all too 🥲 May I know how did anyone of u manage it? Should I go to GP or Gynae to confirm the symptom? Anyone of u seen TCM for this? As usual, dropped my appt card and the lady called me to hand me my queue number. She mentioned that she is unable to register me until I paid my bill which was issued 2 days ago. I was quite taken aback as NUH financial hotline said I can make the payment within 3 weeks. I told her I will make the payment just that I need time to do so. As my appts are almost every week now, I am paying quite a substantial amount and I do have to factor in other stuff to pay for as well. I have never encountered this as a KKH patient previously, is this normal at NUH?

2023-01-12My baby is 3 months plus going 4 months. She didn't poo for 6 days so we went to the PD. The PD put suppository and she poo at the clinic which looks like 1 or 2 days worth of poo only She is on biogaia probiotics already everyday. Now it is 2 days after the visit to the PD but she is still not pooing yet. We did massage her stomach not still never poo. Not sure why she can't poo on her own already. Very worrying. She is drinking formula milk & breastmilk.

2023-01-13Hi parents. My 2months old baby tends to fuss around, cry and stick tongue out during milk time. It is not that she is full (as she only drank 10ml then start to fuss). So she will drink a bit, then start turning head here and there, stick out tongue. She will also drink abit then crying, then I will need to comfort her a bit and she drink a bit again then cry again. So I need to stand, pat her, rock her while feed her. Almost all feeds are like that. Is she having colic or dislike the milk bottle? I am using Phillip Avent with teat no. 1 (increase from no. 0 as we thought is teat issue).

2023-01-13Hi my baby is around 11 months now. He became very active, really active and tends to have difficulty sleeping at night. He will go rolling, playing tirelessly until he falls asleep in weird uncomfy position. He also had reduced appetite eating and drinking his milk. Sometimes he throws up all what he ate/drink if he feels full. He is not a chubby/plump baby to begin with and has a light slim body. We worry that if this still continues and he starts walking already then his weight will really drop some more. Only thing that lessen our worry is that he is not getting sick frequently. Is this normal for this age?

2023-01-13My LO is a month old now and she refuses to sleep in the day. She wakes up every hour or can go up to 3 hours without sleeping. She drinks (v little) every hourly or so too. How can I help her sleep better in the day and drink more so that she can last longer without feeling hungry? 2023-01-14What’s wrong with giving formula milk.i am a low supply mum. I have tried doing 20 mins pump 10 min rest 10 min pump 10 min rest . No matter what milk supply very low… i feel sad i cant be giving my baby drinking 5 ml milk she needs 120ml. I look at her every time she is growing well. :)
