2023-06-05Hi Mummies, My 11 weeks old boy has suddenly started hating bottles. I have used MAM bottle since about 3 weeks, but now he is just straight up refusing, even when I know he is hungry. He would latch instead. From 3 weeks onwards it has been a mix of bottle feed and latch but now he is not taking bottle at all :( I love that mom is comfort, but I go back to work in 3 weeks and am wanting a smooth transition! 2023-06-05My parents are v accommodating to my older sister so they don’t say no to her and I feel like she’s taking advantage of that. She and her husband can definitely afford a helper but she’s v particular so she refuses to have 1. My parents have to even drive to their place about 30 min drive each time they go and help out! For a few years now. Any advice? Tried to talk to her about it but she brushes me off… maybe cos she’s many years older than me. & she’s extremely stubborn. Don’t think she cares… Now I think my parents won’t help out for my baby :(
2023-06-05Hi there! Any mummies here will cry more easily when preggy? I will suddenly cry & sob when i feel overwhelmed. Currently 24 weeks & i tink i cried like 4 times suddenly. Once when i'm having flu & feel so sad my body is sick. Then twice when i'm just too tired & feel like i dont have enough sleep. Last was when hub say someting i can't rmb now then i just cried.

2023-06-05I wan to shout out to a vry irresponsible parent. The couple jus gave birth to a bb less than 1yr wanted to go to travel. Well, nth wrong to go travel, but the angry part is they wan to ask us to help to take k of their bb while they go long holiday enjoy! Reason given too troublesome to bring a bb along & infant cannot take flight. Where got such parent, go long holiday enjoy dont wan to bring bb along. Put their bb with their relative...even the parent in law doesnt wan to help to take k, but they still insist to go holiday.... really speechlesss....this kind of parent. This is not the first time the couple doing this, go holiday without bring their bb. Really dont know how they can do this to their LO. They still mention wan to have another bb. Selfish parent who only care abt own holiday n enjoy, dont k abt their bb. Terrible parent. Myself also got LO, but we will always bring him along if we go travel.

2023-06-05I’m currently at 37 wks and baby is about currently 2.7kg, my husband felt i had not been eating more in the past feel weeks and blames me for the drop in baby weight, he felt the normal weight should have at least been 2.9-3kg by now. It makes me feel guilty that i have not been more, though doctor did advise this is still within normal range. For this case, would you let your MIL take your baby out ? To mall, supermarket, wet market etc when youre not around ? 2023-06-06Im currently 6 months preggy and realised past few days, at times, baby’s kicks and movements has been non stop for few or atleast 5 mins. Like literally nonstop aggresive movements and kicks. 2023-06-06I know it’s out of concern but it has become quite extreme like insisting that I buy expensive bird’s nest for myself and when I commented I’d rather spend on other things, she started become passive aggressive and say ok next time don’t have to give me advice etc, don’t need to listen to what she says. And then when she saw me drinking yakult she nagged at me SO MUCH, says ok don’t listen to me then. #advicepls Don’t know how to deal with this!!! 2023-06-06Hi, first time mummy here so I am still learning as I go. Understand that different babies behaves differently. Recently went for my 1 year old check up and doctor said it is not normal that my 1 year old still requite night feeding. He suggested that I give my son late dinner so that he can sleep longer at night. However, my son eats small frequent meals. I tried to extend his night feeds by 1 hour (from 4 hour to 5 hour interval) but realises that he started crying because he is hungry and has problems going back to sleep. So can I check if any mummies who have babies above 12 months that still need 1-2 night feedings ? Say after 4-5 hours. Was taken aback by the doctor comment but I find that my baby sleeps well when I feed him at night. He will usually start to move alot and give small cries whenever he wants milk. 2023-06-06Hi mummies, Am into my 12-weeks pregnancy today. This wld be my 4th child however dis baby is different frm his/her older siblings. As baby was conceive 2 years post my breast cancer treatment. I have been on remission since 2020, surviving a stage 3 breast cancer. Though its 4th, hwever, i felt totally different in my pregnancy journey. Im literally more tired den usual. Tried to fight it off, bt i always find myself catching my breathe. Im kind of hungry bt no food seems satisfying for me & if i eat just to have something on, i tend to vomit out everything. I can easily doze off & just dont feel like doing anything & everything. Wen things were gd, i will get myself out bt most time, i will get tired. Nt sure if its due to my low immune as i was previously treated with chemo or it is kind of "normal" at dis stage? Wen will i get to feel really normal? Can to share hw u guys overcome fatigueness, laziness, sleepiness & appetite matters during this period?
2023-06-06Hello mummies, im currently 30wks pregnant with my 4th child and i have 3 children under 7yrs. I went thru 3 caesarean and coming the 4th time. So doc suggests me to get the contraception. I mean this will be my last pregnancy cos doc said the risk will be higher each time i get pregnant cos they will cut the same place also i have enough hahaha. So I ask for my husband opinion he said just take the pill but im the kind of person who tends to forget to eat medication. So as time goes by I'll just ditch whatever medication I'll need to eat. But is it okay if i forget to eat and just eat the next day or i must diligently eat everyday? I've heard about other ways, but i also heard the side effects and all. 2023-06-06Hi mummies, could you please share the vitamins that you are taking on 2nd tri and 3rd tri? I am currently week 30 but noticed cramp here and there, back pain and bleeding gum sometimes - when i google it says lack of calcium and magnesium. My friend also said could be i lack or calcium. The only vitamin i am taking right now is prenatal vitamin. I asked my gynae if i shd take calcium he say no need and all those symptoms are normal🫤 #firsttimemom #advicepls #FTM
2023-06-06My mil keeps smoking and after i’m pregnant she starts to smoke at the balcony and keeps the door close. but sometimes she forgets and she’ll leave the door wide open and when i go out to the living room the entire cigarette smell will be so empowering. tonight i went out for dinner with my colleagues and when i came back she left the door open again, and my husband left our room door open so the entire room is filled with the smoke smell. i feel so annoyed but what can i do? husband also kept reminding her to rmb to close the door but next time after the kid is born she’ll be helping to take care and i really don’t want my kid to be exposed to all these smoke

2023-06-06Not sure if im being sensitive. Im currently 20 weeks pregnant, and am taking a career break till I deliver. I am currently staying apart from my husband (i stay at my hs, he stays at his. He or I go over to his/my hs during weekends) as our bto is only ready next year. We will be staying at my parents hs after I deliver as my room is just alot bigger. I think I spoilt him too much by giving him too much personal space and he is dreading staying at my hs after the baby comes. I dont interact with his family that often but without fail when I go over to his house, his mum will always ask him if he is staying home or gg home with me as if she is afraid her son will be separated from her. She would keep quiet if my husband is coming over to my hs. I am pregnant for goodness sake, isnt it only right that my husband is with me? Also my sil, 40yo, who is single with no kids loves to keep asking me when am I going to go back to work, why am I not signing up for sports activities since Im very free, and commenting on my weight and size now that I am starting to have a baby bump. Its not like I wont be returning to the workforce after I deliver. Its quite annoying when I all I need now is rest and recuperation for the arrival of our baby. She doesn’t understand that I get sever cramps and aches in my pelvis and spine from this pregnancy. During today’s father’s day dinner, we went to a fancier restaurant (my husb paid) and after dinner my sil asked me if the food is good. I said yes, and she replied doesnt mean its expensive and free for you, means that the food is good. What does that even mean?? I buy them food and bring them out occasionally too. My husband feels like Im overthinking with what they say. Worse still he even asks me if it is necessary to stay with me all the time after I deliver. He is a husband that tries his best in fulfilling things that I request but sometimes I feel really frustrated with his family and him. Not sure if its the hormones… 😮‍💨
2023-06-06Feeling so frustrated with my inlaws … when my husband and I broke the news that we were pregnant with #1, the first thing out my mil mouth is “hope that its a boy”. Omg!!! I felt so irritated then as I felt that no matter if its a girl or boy I will love them equally the same. Fast forward 20 weeks later, we confirmed that we were having a baby boy. And of course, pil were so happy they started clapping in a restaurant. Is it weird that I feel annoyed by their actions? In my mind, its if u want a boy then why not have another one yourself….

I understood that I need to apply for work permit for confinement nanny (CN), my CN shared that it can be done on actual day itself. I will only be needing her for 28 days and she had completed another earlier job in may before (so mom should have her records) 1) Thus wanted to check if any of the mommies have experienced this where they do the application for WP for CN on day she arrives in Singapore? 2) I also wanted to check if any of the mummies bought medical insurance for the CN during her employment with you? You should buy medical insurance of at least $15,000 to cover your nanny during her employment with you. 2023-06-07Currently 24 weeks but very nauseous, esp at night so occasionally i couldnt eat my dinner or eat very little. Thing is, I'll be very hungry later, but don't have "healthy food" (which I can stomach) at home only have junk food like chocolates, biscuits and instant noodles or frozen finger food (which I can still barely eat). 2023-06-08Hi mamas. Just wanna rant here. I’m currently staying with my husband & mil together with my baby. I have no issues with my mil prior arrival of my baby. However, nowadays my mil has a habit of passing remarks about my baby which is deemed unnecessary & annoying? Such as when my baby’s crying hysterically out of the blue she would literally say ‘diam’ as in quiet. I’ve been hearing this & I feel like I should address it to her. Like seriously you’re asking a baby to shut up when their only form of communication is crying? It’s like people asking you to shut up when you’re talking? Sometimes she would also comment ‘so teruk’ meaning ‘so bad’ when baby is crying. Honestly, it’s annoying & if I were to answer her back, I’m afraid I would be disrespectful .

2023-06-08I just delivered my baby 2 days ago. I'm now at the confinement centre and to my horror when I stepped on the weighing scale, I did not lose any weight but instead put on 5kg! I had been constipated since a few days before birth but given that the baby weight + waterbag + placenta, shouldn't I have lost some weight? Had been trying to get breastmilk too but it's still in drops. I did not overeat in hospital too. But I am visibly very puffy. Anyone can advise me? 2023-06-09I just gave birth to my 2nd baby after a very long gap.. It was super tiring.. Was having complications during pregnancy and after.. Yeah i know I'm not that old like some others ladies here thats what others said lah as im in my early 30s. But to me seriously i felt really to old to handle my baby at this age with my this no longer young body.. So here comes the problem.. My husband before i even get pregnant was so eager to have another baby even promised to help to assist with my baby especially at night.. Suddenly after gave birth gave me the kind of behaviour such as if he was being force to care for my baby especially during my recuperating period.. Eventhough he did it, after about 3 mth he actually complained forget about the promise lah but as a father and a husband cant he actually show some empathy? He said as if during my pregnancy and giving birth time for me was nothing... I was the one going thru the painful event but he acted as if he was the one instead.. Guess what till date i still feel so damn weak and in so much pain.. But i chose to just keep it to myself in the end cos no one even care.. I was a housewife for long time only did some part time jobs all this while.. Before my first baby wen he reached 1+ i did go out to work and im the sole breadwinner.. That period of time i dont mind lah cos i still feel strong despite my frequent asthma attack.. But now? I seriously cant handle it.. Especially now with less than 6 mths baby i cant afford to get sick.. One more thing is he told me to go out and find for a job.. Cos he cant afford to pay his weekly car rental and for our daily necessities... He said it was for my own good? Isn't it as good as me being a single mum instead? Im feeling so damn tired.. Physically and emotionally!!! I even got the thinking of ending my life.. But thinking of my children and my religious belief, i paused! I decided to leave home.. But i returned and told him i want to make this relationship work as to me maybe theres somewhere is my fault too.. Maybe i only think of myself during that period.. Maybe im too cranky... I dont cook, clean like how i did after my first child was born.. But he actually treated me worst than ever.. Like as if im forcing myself to someone else husband.. I Really dont know what i should do.. To seek for divorce or to continue with this relationship.?? It was a long way more than 10yrs of marriage... 2023-06-09My MIL death anniversary is coming up every year we pray on the actual day at my house as my MIL's tablet is placed at my house, as part of Chinese tradition suddenly this year my husband's siblings play pattern say pray on the weekend before actual day. Then I have no choice but to agree even though I really dun think we should do it. Then suddenly today few days before say they want to pray on actual day. And he say he won't be taking leave on actual day so I also don't need to be at home to pray. He will just pass our house keys to his siblings. I am very pissed off and mentioned that I don't like people changing plans. And he say I never ask u go and pray,if you don't like I can ask them all don't come our house and pray(then in the end I will sure be the one be blamed by his family). And he say since u no need pray why you have to find trouble now? I am like wth is your siblings play pattern not me and now you say I find trouble. 2023-06-10Am 22 weeks pregnant and my bump is super obvious already. I also wear tight clothings to make it more obvious and rub my tummy often to show that I’m pregnant. I also stand in front of the priority seat to see if people do offer their seats but no. So far nobody offered any seats to me. Just feel so sad for the society. And realized that this is something that I feel strongly only after being pregnant. Because before I was pregnant I always gave up seats to pregnant women and elderly. So I thought that is what you should do and a norm. Being courteous as a human being with feelings. But everyone is so self entitled now that they don’t care, they just act they using phone etc. Plus what makes me disheartened is that those not giving up seats are ppl in 20-30s perfectly healthy adults who are not carrying heavy items , they just want a seat. Why should I be asking them for a seat if I have the priority to the priority seat as a pregnant woman? People should be more auto to give right? I think maybe Singapore or SMRT should increase this awareness cause I realized a lot of pregnant mummies are facing the same issue. And it’s also very dangerous for mummies to stand so long cause if leg to be swollen and fall risk! This is why pregnant mummies need the seats, and people should be educated on this.

Doctor say her weight percentile is a lil bit over at 98 percentile. 2023-06-10How often do you get braxton hicks @ 2nd trim ? Im currently 25weeks and started to notice that i get stomach tightening and stomach very hard quite a number of times thruout the day Is it normal to get it often in a day ? It doesnt hurt at all though and only lasted like 2 secs ? Then soft again. (Idk if its actually braxton hicks or baby’s position) But baby still moving well afterwards. Im scared getting it often means contraction will be coming soon or preterm labour 😣 #firstbaby

2023-06-10Hi mummies, I have a 4 months old baby. My baby seems to laugh at his daddy, my helper more than me. Although I do spend time with him from feeding him, changing his diaper, calming him , putting him to sleep, he doesn't laugh much at me even when I try to make funny sounds/faces or do funny things. But the same thing if daddy or helper does it, he will laugh. Did anyone go through something similar? I am trying not to be oversensitive about it but just worried my son may not want to bond with me. Any tips what can I do? 🙏
