- 2023-03-13Hi all, I'm now at week 20. Anyone experience any heartburn or bloating gas, burping, indigestion ? Before or after meal, will keep burping.
FYI, I don't have any morning sickness since the beginning of pregnancy. Any idea if this is normal?
- 2023-03-13Hi mummies, my baby is currently 6 weeks and I've been trying really hard to breastfeed however i feel i have low milk supply because whenever i pump its around 20 to 30 ml only. Seems like it's not enough for him and that's why i combine it with formula milk now to ensure he is getting enough. Did any mummies have this issue, if yes how did you manage it? Im also taking fenugreek supplements, pumping frequently but nothing seems to work. What is the optimal volume of breastmilk which i should have week by week as baby is growing, any idea? #advicepls #pleasehelp #firsttimemom

- 2023-03-13My mum is pissing me off again..there's a sheng shiong at my house downstairs 3 mins walk...my parents came to my house to see lo and they always like to go the sheng shiong shopping first..she came up with eggs and said she saw I don't have eggs. I told her we just finished the eggs and don't want as we don't cook and very hard to finish the eggs. She said now Taiwan has disaster with eggs. Omg but that has nothing to do with Singapore wad. She always likes to bring unnecessary things to my house which really don't bother what we need or don't. We already told her we can buy ourselves but still she's living in her own world. Also my lo is a late talker but he has already been able to call daddy and mummy so long ago, my mum is like in denial. Everytime come my house she will ask me if my lo can call us already to which we replied to her the same thing each time. Also everytime she come my house she will wanna drink and always ask she can use which cup to which we always reply she can use any cup and honestly we don't have many cups and never change the cups, why can't she just absorb what we say? Is she just asking for fun everytime? #facepalm

- 2023-03-13Hi moms, my baby is 5 months. Can i start solid or have to strictly wait till 6 months?
Also can share with me your baby feeding schedule, what's the first food you give your baby when they start solid, how many solids per day, how much milk per day, and how do you know when to cut down milk and increase solids as baby grow older?

- 2023-03-14Hi! Appreciate any advice!! 🙏🏼
Any one using pigeon bottles? Been wondering if the newest soft touch3 they launched is very different from the previous generation. Any mamas have experience/babies prefer one to the other? I was going to get the previous generation one but happened to receive 1 bottle of the soft touch 3 as a gift, I suppose I have to buy more of the same bottle (soft touch 3) to avoid baby getting confused? #firstbaby

- 2023-03-14I just went for my LO 6 months check up and his weight is only at 6.2kg while the chart at his health booklet is showing that he should at least be at 7.5kg. He’s been drinking 120ml every 3-4 hours and having solids 1 time a day but his weight just can’t seem to increase. At this point I’m not sure if he’s just a petite baby or he’s not consuming enough? Anyone here having the same problem :(

- 2023-03-14Hello! I am currently 32 weeks pregnant with my second child. My first born is 5 years this year. During my first pregnancy, I had my anti tetanus injection. But this time around, my doctor said it's optional to take this injection as it only acts as booster.
Just to ask, what injections or vaccinations did you have during your pregnancy? (Eg; flu vaccine, covid vaccine, anti-tetanus vaccine)
Thanks in advance mommies!

- 2023-03-14Hi all! I was wondering if anyone knows if this is ezcema or some other skin issue? We were given steroid, applied for a week and it was better. But it came back shortly once we stopped. We are currently using ceradan and eucerin. TIA!#advicepls #FTM
- 2023-03-14Choosing a good OBGYN is like half the work done in the journey of pregnancy as he/she plays a major role right from pre-pregnancy planning, routine checkups during pregnancy, advise/guidance throughout pregnancy and most importantly delivering the baby with the mother being healthy and safe as well. When I was looking for an OBGYN, the factors that I kept in mind were the following:
1. Race - Singapore is a multiracial country and doctors are from different races, so i felt it will be better to pick one from my race so that he/she can advise on the traditional food, traditional practices followed in our country etc.
2. Gender - Times are changing and there are many male OBGYNs everywhere however some women might be comfortable to have a female OBGYN especially during pregnancy and for delivery. I personally felt that a female OBGYN would be helpful due to fact that she would not only have the knowledge but also experienced and understood everything right from menses till labor and postpartum.
3. Proximity to your house - In some emergency cases you may have to rush immediately to her clinic to see her, so it is better if she is atleast within 15-20 mins from your house by road.
4. Affordability - Everybody can't afford any OBGYN. Lot of money is involved in the whole process right from consultation charges, scan, tests till delivery charges, so it is always good to find out in advance whether we can afford the gynae.
5. Referrals - If you got a good circle of friends or relatives, you can check and get the names of those that they had visited for their pregnancy and how their journey with the OBGYN was.
6. Hospital affiliation - Some of us must be particular about the hospital where we like to deliver the baby due to a number of reasons so in that case it is better to see an OBGYN who is affiliated to that hospital so that she will the point of care starting from pre-pregnancy till delivery.
7. Reviews - It is important to see the online reviews and consider them to an extent if you got no other source to find out from.

- 2023-03-14Hi my baby is now 6 month plus and her last feed of the day is 7pm and then she will sleep throughout the night till the next morning at 7am. She did not even wake up or cry for milk but i use to dreamfeed her at midnight worried that her tummy empty for too long. - 2023-03-15Hi mummies, can you share your exercise regime? I’ve stopped all exercise, except for gentle walking, during my first trimester - I’m 38 and do not want to risk anything, so I’ve stopped exercise as I get very tired easily. I was worried that I would over tire myself and cause undue stress. I intend to go back to yoga after my first trimester as I am full of aches and would like to build more strength. Wondering if anyone else had advice or experience?

- 2023-03-15FTM here
Just went to my monthly gynae checkup and I inform gynae that I did feel a slight period cramp like for 3 sec on off for 1 hour last night but today I don’t feel any cramp anymore.
Doc suggested I go for trans vaginal scan and report shown that my cervix length is at 2cm, and doc gave me 2 choice, to take vaginal medication or perform cervical cerclage. Decided on the medication due to could be risk on cerclage. Had to go back next week for another scan again.
does any mummy experience this? I’m so worried that doc mention I may have the chances of pre term labour as I am only 24 weeks in 😭 Does this mean I can’t even move about? Or even travel? #firsttimemom #advicepls #firstbaby

- 2023-03-16Hi mummies.
Is it normal to be sneezing non stop, having running nose (like dripping watery mucus) and blocked nose during pregnancy after taking flu medication that was given by PD? I went onto Google and notice that the cause of my flu might be caused by cigarette smoke.
So, does cigarette smoke/second hand smoke affect our nose as well? Because I have a tenant that love to smoke at home when I told my husband that the cigarette smell is affecting me. The tenant and his friends love to smoke in the house as well. Told my husband to do something about it but he just kept quiet when I mentioned about it. I used to be a smoker but I quit due to my pregnancy and baby. Also, now I find cigarettes very smelly too 🥲. #pleasehelp & TIA!

Any advices on how to keep my sugar level on track? I'm taking Metformin for now.

- 2023-03-17I’m currently with KKH and recently went under private care to go with a specific gynae. But now the gynae is unavailable as she is going on maternity leave before my due date. Does anyone have recommendations of other gynaes from KKH? What are your experiences with them? Off the top of my head I’m thinking of Dr Suzanna, Dr Jessie Poon, Dr Dhilshad?

Before that it was ok…the pain quite bearable. But after the massage and after the wear of binder wrap, the pain shoot up and i have difficulty walking and sitting normally

- 2023-03-17Dear mummies, I’m at 7 weeks and doctor prescribed me 5mg folic acid and duphaston daily and said that’s enough. However I got “kiasu” and am taking maternal milk too. Is this an overkill? Is my folic acid levels too high?

- 2023-03-18Hi folks, wondering if it is worth to buy stuff from the pre-order sale or buy direct at the fair itself. Looking around to big ticket items like stroller, cot etc.
Also doing lots of comparing online/ in-store. Advice will be appreciated! Cheers :)

- 2023-03-18Hi Mummies, i just had a loss earlier today. This is my second pregnancy loss due to chemical pregnancy. First in November & second today. I am losing hope and starting to feel like I could be the problem. Does this mean I’m infertile? Will I ever be able to conceive naturally next time? I’m worried, tired and afraid. #pleasehelp
- 2023-03-18So im almost done with my first trimester!!! Honestly since the time I found out I was pregnant and did my checkups.. I had no morning sickness… neither strong cravings or nausea.. everything has been in generally normal, besides just the fatigue that can be overcome with afternoon naps…
Still doing my normal yoga classes, stop my spinning classes that I go frequently but dr said after first tri, I can go back to spinning.
Most importantly to listen to your body.
Was just wondering if its true that if I finish first trimester easily, The rest of the time during my pregnancy, itll be easy?
Some people tell me if its a good first tri, it might be also a girl 🤣 dont know how true
- 2023-03-18I used this after I gave birth. The material is very good and comfortable.
I wear for about 2 months and my waist is 62cm now. Happy with this binder.
- 2023-03-18Feeling very emotionally and mentally drained. Been married for almost 8 years and parents in law still dislike me.
I tried so many things to make them like me even changing to be more extroverted when i come over their place..
But this time i feel like its too much when they refuse to come over and visit my newborn baby. Im staying at my own parents place and kept getting qns like 'when your PIL coming over to see the baby?' I can only smile, its hard to not feel extra emotional esp postpartum.
My husband has asked them before whether there was anything that i did that made them not like me. They just kept saying that my husband changed ever since he married me. Hows that got to do with me? and yea ofc hes gonna change, before he was single with no priorities with all the time in the world.
Honestly theyve said and did so many things that have hurt me but i tried not to think about it so much and just forgive but never forget. Tbh if they werent my husb parents, i wouldve just cut them off, im somebody who mind their own business alot and this sort of unresolved issue just bother me alot. My husb has said that we should just ignore and see them during special occasions only just to run away from the negative vibes, how i wish it could be as simple as that for me.
It seems like no matter what i do, ill always be the evil daughter in law, to the extent that my SIL and BIL are always making snide comments whenever i come around.
It comes to the point where i even thought of divorce bc i was thinking what if my marriage is not blessed just bc my PIL dont like me? 😢
Yea just ranting here hopefully someone has an advice for me or anyone who have been thru this before 😢
- 2023-03-18Hi mummies! I’m almost 34 weeks and I have been experiencing really bad pelvic pain when I walk, change positions etc. It is so bad that I sometimes cry over it. Is this normal? Or should it be a concern? Any exercise that can help to lessen the pain? 🙏

- 2023-03-18Hi Mummies,
I am having a pattern of on and off sharp pain in my lower back since yesterday night. Went for check up today and doc says I am in early labor but when CTG was done no contractions were found since my pain is still in lower back.
Doctor says it is a start of early labor and eventually the contractions will be in uterus. Doc told me to monitor contractions at home and no need to be admitted to hospital yet.
It is been full day and I still have on and off lower back pain only.
Has anyone else faced this in their early labor? How much time it shall take for the uterine contractions to start ?

- 2023-03-18Hi Mummies. Anyone else has eczema and flare up badly throughout pregnancy? My legs and arms are mostly covered with it. I feel insecure with all the scarring. Any recommendation of moisturizer?
- 2023-03-18Hi mummies! I'd like to ask if any of you mummies let your babies sleep on their tummy? My 2 month old prefers sleeping on her tummy in her crib and she sleeps more comfortably as compared to on her back and being swaddled. I'm worried she might not breath well or lies face flat down thus I always stay up when she's asleep just to ensure she's breathing. My elder son didn't use to sleep on his tummy so I don't know if this is okay.
Her neck is pretty strong and she does tummy time eversince day 1. She's able to roll over as well so I don't keep her swaddled anymore. Can I continue letting her sleep in this position? Tried changing her position to lie flat on her back but she always cries 😅 what should I do?
- 2023-03-18I just have a question on how does the prenatal bill works? Do i have to pay on the spot on the day of my prenatal? Or i will receive a letter of my bill? & for PR that is under NUHS Subsidies also how much does the prenatal would cost under NUHS. #firsttimemom #firstbaby #help #bills
- 2023-03-18I had eczema since young and currently 10wks pregnant. Want to ask if anyone has good TCM doctors to recommend for eczema?
I used to see a TCM doc for eczema and she was really good but she doesn't treat pregnant women!! And I found quite alot of them don't treat pregnant women who have eczema..
Much thanks!
