- 2023-03-06My daughter is 11months old but she has problem sleeping soundly though the night, she takes adequate naps through the day.
However when she goes to sleep around 9plus pm, she wakes up 2 to 6x tossing and turning - about 2x for milk feed and the rest due to pacifier or just wakes up crying.
My husband and I have tried many methods to try to get her to sleep through like topping up more for her last milk feed before she sleeps but it doesn't work. We are getting moodier due to the lack of sleep and affects us at work too.
We at wit's end and feel so helpless. Does anyone have any tips or advice?

- 2023-03-06Hello Mummies, I read that most of the time in KKH baby will be rooming in with mummy. What about mummies who went through Csect and probably wont be out of bed for 24hours. Anyone went through this recently? Abit worried to be alone with baby while I can barely move about in the 1st 24 hours.

- 2023-03-06Hi all, just want to share here my personal experiences and see if I still have hope.
Had 3 miscarriages already
Nov 2021 (pregnancy of unknown location)
Sept 2022 - tried with letrozole (got sac and yolk, did not grow)
Upcomimg March 2023 - tried with letrozole (probably chemical or smth similar with 1St again)
I get pregnant quite fast, but if just doesn't stay or grow much. Both hubs and I did the basic test before trying for baby in 2021. All test came back normal, only hubs morphology slightly not at the best side..but can be improved with supplements.. Have been taking supplements, tried TCM for 1 year, stopped after 2nd miscarriage.
Cycles normal, on time.
Really don't know where went wrong.
Do I have chance for a live birth?
And should I try again naturally or try IVF since in my case most likely due to choromosome issues. IVF they can pretest chromosomes to up the chances.
We spent a lot of money and time.. And it's not easy for my work, been taking HLS for miscarriage.
I am confused and upset. Just ranting here. No mean to piss anyone off..
Thanks!

- 2023-03-06I've read that you need to sleep on your sides during pregnancy preferably on the left side. And sleeping on your back increases chances of still birth. Is that true? What's your sleeping position like? I feel like it's tough to sleep on left side the whole night? #pleasehelp #firstbaby #firsttimemom

- 2023-03-06Hi ladies, #firsttimemom here at 10 weeks. Been having nausea since 6 weeks and gag everytime I try to drink water. The nausea got worse around week 9-10 and I gag more often but I always try to stop myself from actual vomiting.
Wonder if you guys feel better after vomiting? Should I just let it out instead of suppressing it?
Also, any other remedies to deal with the nausea and lack of water? I have tried drinking honey/ lemon water and 100Plus but always end up with a weird aftertaste in the mouth (I googled and seems like folic acid is the culprit here) :(
- 2023-03-06Hi, anyone experiencing this bitter taste in the mouth? I’m constantly feeling like my digestive system is unclean and whatever I eat is not being digested away well. - 2023-03-07I need help and advice. Went for my check up last Friday 3rd march and doctor told me my next appointment will be next week because i haven dilated and baby head still high. So nurse told me to check on the app for my upcoming appointment but did not receive any. So called the contact service on monday 6 march and in the afternoon I finally received my next appointment which is on 13 march. BUT… My EDD is on 9 march. What should i do? Wait till i have contraction then proceed to delivery ward? Or wait till 13 march?
- 2023-03-07The final days of pregnancy are supposed to be tiring and filled with anxiety especially for first time moms who are waiting to experience
delivery, labour pain and motherhood for the first time. Throughout my pregnancy I kept myself active by doing most of the household work but the last month is when I planned to take complete rest and get help from my in laws (as I couldn't go to my parents' place due to covid travel restrictions). But the first day of that last month came an unexpected news and my in laws had to travel overseas on an emergency. It was peak covid time with many travel restrictions no country allowed visitors without pre departure test and respective entry/arrival forms. Air tickets were very expensive. But somehow my husband and I arranged for the express pre departure test and helped them book tickets to travel. We gave them the assurance that we can manage the situation here.
The following week was the labour talk with my gynae where she explained about the signs or indicators of labor , when to contact the doctor, when to rush to hospital directly, possible side effects of vaginal delivery and C-sec, pain relief methods and got our agreement to proceed with emergency C-sec if situation demands. After that, we felt like packing the hospital bag immediately and keep it ready because we were alone and no elders at home, so in case of emergency we wanted to keep everything ready. Meanwhile, we were able to get permit for my mother to come and help us, by applying through the Vaccinated Travel Pass.
My in-laws completed the work they went for and returned back after a couple of weeks but they had to serve home quarantine for 10 days. My mother arrived a week after my in laws and she had to serve home quarantine for 7 days as the rule changed by then. My husband and I followed the quarantine rules very strictly, we never allowed my in laws or my mother outside the room except for using the washroom. We used to pack food in bento box and keep it outside their respective rooms and throw the trash in a box kept outside the room. We used to wear glouse and clear the trash end of each day. Contrary to my plan of taking a break from cooking and rest in the last month, I ended up cooking for all of us. My husband was my only pillar of support. He was working at the same time he was there by my side and helped in all ways possible.
When the home quarantine of my in laws was about to end, we had a doctor checkup and she confirmed that my cervix dilated by 1-2 cm. She told me anytime I might get into labor and explained how to identify real contractions. If not she told to come back in 3 days for another checkup. This made us more tensed because all the elders are at home but under quarantine, couldn't help us really. Fortunately I didn't get any pain my in laws' quarantine ended and we went to see the gynae again this time the cervix dilated around 2-3 cm. The doctor said we will wait for 1 more day or induce labor. We wanted to wait for the natural labor to kick in instead of inducing so we requested the doctor to wait for 3 more days but I never got the pain. So we went and saw the doctor again, it was my last checkup she explained what are the consequences of waiting further and there is nothing to worry as I was already in my 40th week and she fixed the next day for induction and the clinic staff guided us about the hospital admission with all documents needed. I took few pictures with my husband with the baby bump as we didn't do any formal maternity photoshoot on the last day before leaving for my last checkup. It was those last 2 days that I got to spend time with my mother after her quarantine ended and it was the last 4days that I got to rest completely. Thankfully it was normal delivery and it was smooth, maybe because I stayed active at the same time was vigilant and cautious following all doctor's instructions.
My best wishes to all mommies out there to have a smooth healthy delivery and enjoy parenting. There is in a strong will power and determination within all mothers which drive us through the pregnancy till delivery and even after that. So stay strong and positive.
- 2023-03-07I'm at 12 weeks now. Had a really bad morning today on my way to work. Was in the public bus and got harrassed for the first time in my life. I had to stand since it was crowded but someone with a pram just got up and shoved infront of me, without an "excuse me" for me to move. I didn't have the space to move away initially due to his pram blocking me and another passenger beside me to give way. The next thing I knew he was throwing insults at me and threaten to take a video of me. I managed to move and he was still calling me names. Next thing I knew, he was only going off (literally) the next stop. This may just be a rant but it affected me the whole morning due to stress and the moment i reached my office, i was bawling my eyes out in silence. Any tips to handle these negative emotions while pregnant, that usually doesnt take as much effort to shut off? 😮💨
- 2023-03-07Hi, what can i do to help my kid. She is having constipation, so heartbroken to see her suffering, I'm wondering is it because of me gave her fruit cereal & fruit oatmeal for 3 meals yesterday & the day before yesterday. Usually she only took either 2 meal of porridge or 2 meal of cereal (not so often, only give like this when no cooking porridge for her) but yesterday i gave her 3 meal instead and all 3 are different flavors and different brand. But she has been eating these.
Or also wonder, is it because i bring her out hence skip her poo time. That's y she nv poo.

- 2023-03-07I'm curious is this custom still exist, even if it exist, if it must to follow? Before marriage, my family will head to my maternal grandmom's house for house visiting, which all my aunts, uncle and cousin follow so...then to my maternal granduncle's house too...now after I got married my mum of course would like this custom to continue, means on first day with my husband suppose to drop by my aunt house for house visiting....but he reject it...i'm wondering if it is okay to head back to maternal side on the first day of cny but not to my mum house

- 2023-03-0840+3weeks now, no signs of labour yet, I am so anxious, everyday worry about baby movement, woundering if something wrong. Everyday need to answer people as people caring about me and my baby, but I feel exhausted to answer those already.
I started HL since week 34, due to leg tiredness and shortness of breath, everybody including me thought I will have earlier delivery. And due to the infection, doctor mentioned risk of premature.
But now, ai, no signs at all.
Sleep disturbance, frequent urination, back pain, heavy body, too good appetite, gain weight super fast these 3weeks, day by day feeling the feet and hands swelling getting worse... ...
Anxious...

- 2023-03-08I was feeling good at week 11 day 4 and tried to be a smart Alec, went for a walk in the park. About 2.2km then I had red bleeding(that is like real red and filled up probably 1 panty liner) in the evening. So I immediately had my progestrone insert and thank God the bleeding subsided. Went in to see my doc the next day, thank god all is good. Doctor didn't say much about the cause of bleeding and advice for me to avoid sex for the moment.
Now I am really scare of going on a walk again. Any advice from mum to be out there? How else do u all exercise in the safe way?

- 2023-03-08Hi Mummies!
I wonder if any of you also experiencing sharp pain deep inside around uterus area (lower abdomen) after c-sect?
The pain came when you wanna poop or when there’s gas to fart.. Something like menses pain but very sharp and painful type (pain score when attack is like 10/10)
Any recommendations how you get it cured?
As of now, my gynae said there’s nothing went wrong during surgery and ultrasound also look okay. Hence she told me to take painkillers. But whenever e painkillers effects gone, I will suffer from it. Which I doubt constantly taking painkiller is a solution for me.
Btw, this is my second c-sect. Thank you!

- 2023-03-09In the hospital right now. I was 39 weeks 6 days and had contraction, went to hospital but doctor check and i still haven dilated yesterday. Choose to induce as baby movement getting lesser and wouldn’t want to keep him in for another week in my tummy. Get induce at 3pm, contraction starts again from 8pm and it gets worse. Told nurse i need pain relief at 2plus, doctor check and still haven dilated. Get injection but it doesn’t work. Now waiting for 3pm for doctor to see and will insert new one for another 6hours. Any advice or sharing any experience?

- 2023-03-09Hi mummies, did you notice that you have less patience and will lose tempers more easily when pregnant? I am in my first tri, and I noticed I am a-lot less tolerant than before. Some people have told me that’s normal because of hormonal change. What about you? #FTM #stories

- 2023-03-09Hi im a first time mom and a housewife. My baby just turn 1 and am thinking of enrolling him to a 18 months programme. Does my first skool only offer full day programme? I will prefer to have him go for just half day since ill be home. Are nursery usually a full day programme?
- 2023-03-09Hi Mummies! I’m a FTM. How much milk should a 5 months 2 weeks baby drink? My LO takes 165ml 5 times a day. I have low supply of BM, so she only latch on once a day for comfort or nap. But she weighs 8.3kg, already at the 97th percentile of the weight chart. My hubby kept telling me based on her weight, she should drink more than the amount we are giving so that she can sleep longer stretch at night. Sometimes when the baby fuss or cries, he think she is hungry. But my baby is peeing and pooping regularly everyday, and is gaining weight. So I don’t see the point of giving more milk to her. In fact, I’m concerned why she is so heavy. Is the amount of milk too much or little for her?

- 2023-03-11Hi, I’m currently at abt week 6 (my pregnancy is thru ivf). Did anyone experience cramping together with bright and dark red bleeding, passing out some obvious blood clots before?
It happens to me yesterday and I had a big shock.. thought gg to miscarriage anytime soon 😭😭😭
Can share if it is “normal” for you and you end up with a success pregnancy?
Just to share what I did yesterday and hopefully it helps a bit to the ladies out there who are as panic as me with similar situation:
As it’s after gov hospital consultation hour and worried that gov hospital A&E is slow, i just go to nearby private gynae. Gynae did ultra scan to see if the sac is still there (luckily it is.. phew), was given a Proluton jab and he advised to bed rest. The reason to bed rest during bleeding is something like hopefully the gravity don’t pull the sac down and flow out w the blood. So, bed rest is really quite important to hold it.
Now my bleeding has stop after a night of bed rest and I think I better continue for a while.
