2022-12-26Im now 10 weeks pregnant and my husband has acted very distant since we knew of the pregnancy. We had a long talk and he confided that he is feeling alot of stress and anxiety, mostly from fear of the child having disabilities as his family has a history of disabilities. We have decided before trying for a child that if we do find out that the child has any disabilities we will choose to let it go, but he is scared of undiscovered conditions that we wont know until the child's birth, which he said he cant handle it. I understand that such fears are common for any parent, but he s losing sleep over this. What can I do to help him get over his fear and anxiety? We are first time parents

2022-12-27I am a mother of 2 young kids (both less than 2yr old). My husband cheated. Initially, i thought it were massages with special services only. Cried talking to him, he denied and said that i overthink, it was normal massages and if I m concerned, he shall not go anymore. However, within 1 week after our talk, I found that he still continue to search online for such services and lied about his whereabout. Recently, found out through his phone messages that he has been engaging prostitutes. I sat down to talk to him, he denied too, saying that he search/enquire for fun, its just enquiry, he never go.. but i saw everything including messages like location to meet, he has reached and the after review etc..when I told him what I have seen in phone, he tried to deny it but did not dare to show me the phone when i asked for it, and said that if i don't like, he shall not 'enquire' again, he said he still know his priority is still the family. I didn't want to keep arguing with him to get him admit as it feel it will go nowhere. To me, if he is willing to stop, I will let it go and move on. I know I am silly, but i also tell him that if for some reasons he just can't stop the desire to go, he should just be honest to me, i am prepared to consider some arrangment ie. Let him to go occasionally but he should try to limit the times, no emotional attachments and must practice safety measures to protect me & child. He said that he don't need such arrangement, he will just stop. Throughout the talk with him, he has never apologise to me, just deny and say he won't go or enquire again, his priority is still the family and that we should move on. It has been few days since the talk, now whenever he is using the phone, I got very worried, wonder if he still arranging to go. He has even changed the phone password as he knew i found out by checking his phone. How does couple gain back each other trusts after cheating? Should I be concerned that he changed his phone password? I also starting to doubt myself and whether he really still love me..or am I just someone to take care of his kids now.

2022-12-27My husband and I have been living with my parents since marriage. Our new place comes in mid to end next year, and our 7 weeks’ old also lives with us. My mum had initially insisted on caring for me and baby during confinement, thus I wasn’t allowed to hire a nanny. She made us hire a helper instead. Fast forward to post-confinement, my mum continued to hog on to my baby. She comes up to our room between 4am to 6am daily to grab him to her room to sleep and claims she wants my husband & myself to rest, when my baby is clearly sleeping soundly with us. In the day time when she’s on leave or wfh, she will also bring him down to her room the whole day. If she goes to work, she will always come upstairs to bring him back to her room until 10pm when my husband goes down to bring him back up. She always says she wants me to rest, but I don’t need it, and I made it very clear to her several times. When I told her I’m giving my son probiotics for his colic, she started questioning me and made it seem like I will endanger my son. And when I said I want to bring my son out, she also kept trying to discourage me. I just want to be with my baby. And when I’m with my baby, she will come and tell me to let my helper take over. It’s as if she doesn’t want me to be with my child alone. It’s getting very annoying and I really want to tell her off, but she has done a lot for my son, so I can’t be scolding her or taking my boy away from her completely. She even offered to move her work schedule to ensure she can take care of my baby. I want to be his primary caregiver, but my mum doesn’t even allow me to bathe him as she claims he’s too fragile now. Please advice on how I can have my son back without hurting my mum’s feelings. #FTM #advicepls

2022-12-27Hi all. I am currently 17 weeks pregnant and I have just gotten the flu bug recently and have been coughing pretty bad last few days. Already went to the doctor to get the proper medication as the cough was quite bad. Highest temperature I had was 37.9 degrees. Just wondering whether it can affect my baby as the thoughts keep lingering in my head. My next appointment is 3 weeks away.

2022-12-293 months ago I hired a helper from Myanmar. She apparently has experience but her job scope for my family and I is to simply do housework. She doesn’t need to look after my parents or my toddler son. Recently, I’ve noticed that instead of waking up at 7am to start her day. She wakes up at 7.40am and sometimes even 8am. I decided to not make a big deal out of it and decided to close one eye. I also have to constantly tell her to go and bathe in the morning before we leave the house and when I do, she laughs. When my toddler son is playing or walking around she tends to grab and hug him and sometimes it looks like she wants to kiss him on the lips. When I tell her to do things for example to hang the clothes outside she always just comes up with an excuse. Today she woke up at 7.15am, brushed her teeth and decided to sit in front of me and do nothing for over an hr. She doesn’t need to cook for the family, she doesn’t need to look after my son or my old parents. All she needs to do is housework but I don’t why each time I see her she is sitting with my son and just watching play. I really don’t know what to do anymore.#pleasehelp #advice I need some advise. Gynae prescribed me with antifungal pessary during my last appointment, it did clear up for about a week and then it came back. The itch is bothering me a lot. 2022-12-29Hi all, I am 21 weeks pregnant and we discovered my husband has chromosome disorder and now i went for amnicentiosis. Awaiting my baby's chromosome results. I have so much less time to decide to continue with pregnancy or to terminate. We did NIPT test at 11 weels which was clear but doc said its only a screening test.... So now need wait for amnicentiosis results. Praying for problem free result for my kid. Pls keep me in your pfayers. Anyone faced similar sitaution.?

2022-12-30Hi Mummies, it’s a trauma for me for the past few days. According to my period calculation, I should be on my 6th week. And went for a scan, no yolk sac or baby was found. Gynae suggested to take 2 blood test interval of 2days to check on hcg level. She mentioned should doubled up, but mine didn’t. It came back with 7100, I started off with 6226. She suspect baby stop growing or it’s an ectopic pregnancy. Anyone with same experience? I read online but not all articles shows that the hcg has to be doubled…

Fil just got discharged from hosp , and hubby insist fil stays with us temporarily. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I mean I don't mind if we're staying in a house where we can accommodate someone extra. But we're staying in a 2room rental flat, fil stays in a same rental flat as well just situated at whampoa while we're at tpy. And me waiting for this 2nd baby to pop out anytime soon , with a whining 2 year old toddler adds on to the pax at our home. I need my privacy back!!!! With fil here , I can't wear what I want , need to be extra cautious. Need to do extra chores. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Like I said , I really don't mind if we had an extra room to accommodate him , but now he's sleeping in the living room , then Im stuck in our room. I'm not someone who talks alot and just do my own stuff and hubby knows. Hais. At least my fil isn't someone who is dependent on help. ,🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ Hope he goes home soon as I really wanna spend quality time with my mini family before the arrival of a new one. 😭😭😭😭

2022-12-31I’m a ftm and have anxiety issues. My son, now 7 weeks old, was hospitalised due to a few hysterical crying episodes where he held his breath abit, and also caught a cold. I was told by doctors that people can still pass a virus even if they don’t show symptoms, but have been in contact with someone who has it. It’s been a week since my son has been discharged, and we are supposed to go back for NYE BBQ at my husband’s place. But my SIL claims that her husband has a mild flu. SIL says she can ask her husband not to come, which I felt isn’t right. So initially I said, we can give it a miss, anyway we meet them every week. Then when my husband insisted, I told him, as a precautionary measure, to ask my SIL and their 2 kids (who just recovered from a bad flu), to wear mask. My husband said I’m being unreasonable, but I feel that I need to be more kiasu, cos I’m really traumatised by the hospitalisation, plus our son was born at 37 weeks, & I hardly have any BM to feed him and boost his immunity, so his immune system is not as good. The problem I’m facing is mostly from my in-laws’ lack of empathy & understanding. I’ve been traumatised by them quite a fair bit but my husband is always siding with them and gets into very fierce fights (non-physical) cos of them. We reached a point where we almost divorced a couple of times cos of them already , & I’m feeling very helpless. #bantusharing #AdvisePlease
