2022-11-28I am wondering if KKH does ultrasounds for visits at week 32. My growth scan was done at week 28, baby was progressing well then. I was diagnosed with GD and I have been keeping to a strict diet. My weight dropped by 3kg in the past 3 weeks since the diet and I am concerned about my baby weight and whether he's getting enough nutrients. My overall weight gain since start of pregnancy till now is only 3.3kg. I wonder if any mummies can share their experience?

Have seen the GP for prescribed medicines (which I only took once on the day I had seen the GP) for flu and and throat. 2022-11-28Just wanna get some of mummies opinions here. Would it be bad if you have a rule whereby you wouldn't want any visitors coming unannounced after you give birth? Like at least wait until a month or fully regained energy then accept visitors (be it family or friends) ? I have this thought in mind that I don't want my family to visit me whilst I'm still in confinement 😅 mainly because my mum has a really chippy mouth and sometimes doesn't think before she says things and I don't want that to cause me any emotional issues. As for hubby side , I think f.i.l is okay with this arrangement as he doesn't visit much also and is elderly so we'll probably be the one visiting him once I recover. On the other hand , my step dad is not talkative so i don't really care about his presence. 😅 I'm just worried my about my mum as I don't want her to feel like I cast her aside. This is my 2nd birth and during the first one we had issues so we weren't on talking terms. But now that all is good , I just don't know how to cope with a talkative and insensitive mum. 😅 Told hubby about this thought of mine and he supported me saying I should get all the rest I need since we're doing this alone. With a toddler in tow , hubby only able to help during his paternity leave , I really wanna get my mental health in check and stable. I don't wanna feel depressed like during my first birth. What are your thoughts on this? How should I announce it to my family? Or do I let hubby inform my family?

2022-11-29Hello fellow mommies, I just found out that I’m pregnant 2 days ago however I’m actually scheduled for a polyp removal following week & IVF next month. I had 2 miscarriages previously & am very concerned that the polyp would cause another miscarriage. My polyp is 1.2cm. I can’t find much information online regarding polyp before successful pregnancy, most of the articles recommend me to remove it before trying for kid. But it’s too late for that now. 2022-11-29Only a sac can be seen. Quite worrying, doc implied ectopic pregnancy is possible. Asked to go back in a week for a scan or do immediate blood test now and in next 48 h. Chose to wait for to scan again next week. Don’t know what to think 😢 wonder if using last period first date is accurate. No pain or bleeding. Maybe very light brown spotting seen 3 days ago?

2022-11-30Will I lose my milk completely if I stopped pumping all together and only latches? My baby is 10.5 months. My milk supply has dipped so much and I’m starting to feel like a loser. She latches alot when she’s with me, but I’m sure she’s not getting enough but I will not reject her if she wants to latch. I am deciding to stop pumping since I’m only getting 1oz every 3 hours sometimes lesser. End of the day after 4 pumps, I’ll get 4oz enough for a night feed. But that’s about it. I don’t get engorged anymore and my breasts are always soft never heavy. Is it okay for me to stop pumping and only latches mostly at nights and weekends?

2022-11-30My 1 month old baby had this red spot on her head few days after birth. Checked with PD and was advised that it could baby rash and will go away eventually. 2022-12-01Anyone’s company/HR rejected your HL applied and changed it to ML instead? Apparently my company does not accept HL if it’s applied right before ML. Ie if i apply HL on 1-7 Dec, ML on 8 Dec, my company will reject and indicate ML starts 1 Dec. Only will approve HL if there’s at least one day in between that I’m working. HR says it follows MOM law but can’t find any info on MOM website about this. Is this the correct way??

2022-12-01I'm feeling so demoralised every time it's time for feeding. My newborn used to be very easy to feed and burp, but at ard 1 week old, he has been very prone to colic. Now, it takes longer to burp him. He struggles, screams, and cries, turns red, and it's so difficult to burp him when he is like this. He also guzzles down milk so quickly, which is also a reason for the gas. My parents are caring for him while I recover, and they are able to handle him. In between recovering and pumping sessions, I have tried feeding him a few times, but every time, it leaves me frustrated and demoralised that I can not handle him during feeding sessions but when my parents step in, he is handled so well😔 It makes me fear having to be in my own once confinement ends. #firsttimemom #firstbaby

Every time she sees me she will ask me have you boiled the water, did you bring the small spoon for baby, should let your baby wear this and that..: her concerns are really adding a lot of stress to me. Also, everytime baby makes noise she will want baby to go over to her. Once she has hold of baby, if baby wants to find me, she will not pass back… I am really really annoyed with her… can’t control but giving black face to her. #advicepls #firsttimemom #helps
2022-12-01I have been having issues with mil ever since I gave birth. The situation has not changed and my baby is 15 months. I just don’t feel my husband is supportive. My mil keeps telling everyone that she cares about me and wants to help. But if she wants to help, why would she say things like I walk away, baby smiles… then complain my maternity is 6 months so baby sticks to me. Also, once she has hold of baby, if baby finds me she will not pass him back. She acts victim and cries in front of the family saying don’t know why I don’t like her… I am so stressed by the whole situation. And anything to do with baby, she will say me. If baby has tummy pain, she will ask me what I eat cause I am breastfeeding. Baby don’t want to eat she will ask me what I cook… I feel like she is blaming me for everything. And for my daughter to become friends with her. My wife thinks homosexuality is wrong. 2022-12-03Hi mommies, i am currently 19 weeks & 5 days pregnant & i stopped diclectin for a couple days. Still experiencing nausea & vomitting at night. Should i just continue relying on diclectin? There is no side effects or affect my hormones right? I was hoping once i stop diclectin, i no longer have morning sickness. But clearly i still do.

2022-12-03I'm in my week 7 and my MIL comes often to cook for me. However I feel like I'm having an eating disorder whenever it's meal times due to my nausea, smells of delicious foods will trigger me. When she asks what I want to eat, just thinking of food triggers my nausea. And I really don't know what to tell her. Anyone with same experience? It's like some foods I can eat some days but after few days cant eat the samw thing aledy, some foods really brings vomit to my mouth.

2022-12-03hello mummies! i know second hand smokes are bad. i have been trying to avoid them in public areas as much as possible. my neighbour is also smoking as well and sometimes the smoke will enter our house through our bathrooms' ventilation fan holes, even though we have shut all the windows and doors. i am paranoid. any mummies who had such experience throughout their pregnancy and still had a healthy baby?

2022-12-03My baby is 2 months 13 days, on some days she drink well but some days she doesn't really want to drink, she can drink for 1 hr plus or very little quantity and super fussy before feed. Either she is crying or moving alot while drinking, sometimes trying to shake the bottle away when she jus started drinking. Any one have the same situation?

All my friends who gave birth there just simply trusted their doctor to do the right things. I trust mine too but I’m worried that in the midst of pain and chaos, I’ll agree to things that I actually don’t want.
