2022-01-17Hi mummies! How do you get your baby to sleep thruout the night? My baby wakes up every 3/4 hours for milk time in the middle of the night.
2022-01-17It’s week 12. I’ve been trying to eat small regular meals, drinking water when I can. It’s still frustrating and tiring that im still vomiting my guts out almost every night. When I didn’t vomit for 2 days, I thought the worst is over. The next 2 days, the vomiting came back with a vengeance. How long more will this go on. So tired of vomiting.

Get helper = although not need to worry anything, it is expensive and if good luck, good helper. Parents = burden parents but able to help financially rather than paying helper. 2022-01-17Hello Mummies, I have a 2 year old toodler who keeps on throwing tantrums whenever she dont get the things she wants. She would throw herself on the floor, rub her knees on the floor, put her face on the floor and non stop crying until we give in. We tried methods like threatening her with a cane or walking away or avoid eye contact with her. We tried telling her nicely and in a firm tone but obviously it didnt work. We also tried to give her space to cry as in to vent and we just sat there to watch her but what really make me angry is when she hurt herself like throwing herself backwards and the back of the head hits the floor. Can any fellow mummies share your advise? Is she going the terrible two phase? I am a FTM here.

2022-01-18I'm 5 weeks today. At 4 weeks, I had naseousness, sore boobs, cramping, feeling gassy. As of now, my sore boobs are not even that sore and I don't have any other symptoms. I was told if you have decreased pregnancy symptoms, it might be MC. I'm afraid cause I had MC July 2021. But this time I've got no bleeding and my last blood HCG was 1070 taken 3 days ago. 2022-01-18Hi. I went for my 2nd Gynae appointment today. I'm supposed to be 8 weeks but the ultrasound showed 7w5d. My pregnancy sac grew but no baby can be seen. Did transvaginal ultrasound, cannot see baby and no heartbeat can be heard. My Gynae gave me two options - 1. To take prescribed medication for baby to come out. 2. To see her again in 10 days but if there is still no heartbeat and cannot see baby, it's confirmed baby didn't form well. I'm 40 years old and this is my 3rd pregnancy. My heart breaks💔 looking at the ultrasound and hearing the options. I chose to see her one more time and will continue taking the hormone pills till next appointment.. Anyone experience this before? 🥺

2022-01-18Hi Parents, may I ask if anyone had high BP and protein in urine during their pregnancy? I’m in my 1st trimester (coming 11 weeks) and doc prescribed me with high BP and aspirin medication. I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia post-delivery for my firstborn. 2022-01-18Hi mummies. Am 10wks now. Had been bleeding for 3 wks no clots. Bleeding takes up abt 4inch of a pad everyday. Went for scan on my 8th wk but doc said baby was abt 5 wks gestation hence can’t detect heartbeat as its too small.. am confused. This is my second pregnancy

2022-01-18My first baby was born in 2009. I have pcos as such conceiving again was very hard. I tried for 13 years. So much of pain and disappointment. When I gave up, I conceived. I was 38 when I conceived again. The pregnancy journey wasn't easy due to my age etc. However, I'm still a very active person even when pregnant. When I was 31 weeks, 5 days, Christmas was nearing. I was so busy cleaning and dragging heavy items until I had an extreme pain at my lower abdomen. I immediately stopped all my work. I have a high pain threshold but I knew something was wrong. I decided to sleep the night off, thinking its a muscle strain. Next day pain was worse. Ard midnight, I went to A&E at Kkh. After monitoring me for 2 hrs etc, a swab (fetal fibronectin) taken. It was tested positive. Meaning, I'm at a risk for preterm labor! I could deliver anytime. I was so stress with the news. Mentally trying to prepare myself for child birth. Stayed for 2 days in kkh to observe any pain and I did have contractions here and there. The on duty Dr wanted to inject me with a steroid to mature the baby's lungs faster. I was skeptical about it. But my gynae was consulted and she decided to put me on progesterone pills instead to reduce the contractions. I kept telling my baby to stay inside. I read up alot n most cases were "reassuring" me that I might deliver 4 weeks or 2 weeks from there. But I managed to make it till 39 weeks. Sometimes u got to pray hard n talk to ur baby. It helps. I was supposed to be on bed rest but after a week upon being discharged, I went shopping for 4 hrs. Again, my pain started. I was extremely worried. I rested the whole day and the pain subsided. After that no more risking anything. I travelled by wheelchair if I had a need to go anywhere far. I went for my checkup on my 38th week. My gynae wasn't ard as such another gynae was taking my appointment. She was equally nice. She then told me I was already 3cm dilated and my baby was 3kg. She told me I can choose to admit myself and they will assist to break my water bag and labor starts or I can wait for my gynae who will be back in 3 days time. However things were not that simple. My baby's head was down but not engaged. If i break my water bag, chances of umbilical cord prolapse is there. Meaning, after breaking water bag, chances of umbilical cord coming out first rather than the head is there. I decided to wait for my gynae. I was very worried. Btw I've gestational diabetes as well. I emailed my gynae my concerns. She told me the decision was mine but she also expressed her concerns. So I decided to go ahead with it. But I told my gynae ill come in 2 more days later. I had contractions in between. I was so confused about the contractions and also worried what if my water bag breaks while I'm at home n the umbilical cord prolapses? Again I prayed and told the baby to stay in. N thankfully, he did. The actual day of delivery. I admitted myself at 9am and my gynae broke my water bag. I asked for epidural even before my pain started. So the doctor who puts epi came. She tried inserting the catheter 3 times but I screamed in pain. I don't remember my previous experience to even feel anything at all. I was so traumatised that I didn't want epi. I told her to leave. I was stressed. Another Dr came and said he will do it for me. But the earlier pain was still there. After hearing another roman screaming in labor, I decided to try again with the diff doc. Again I prayed real hard. This time, only very minimal pain was there. Thank god! But I had side effects of epi which I didn't have before. My whole body starting itching and I had some dizziness. I couldn't scratch cos I won't feel it but I can feel I'm itchy all over. Imagine ur feeling so itchy and u can't scratch but u need to endure that till the baby comes out. This was ard 1pm. Ard 3.30pm, I was dilated at 8cm already. Thankfully. Ard 4 plus, I was dilated 10cm and pushed for about 10mins then the baby came out. Greatest joy of my life. The most beautiful thing was lying on my chest looking at me. All went well. But the pain after epi, is not that easy. Being a woman takes alot of guts. N god chose his warriors. Whoever needs to hear this, you have got this! U can do it. 2022-01-19Hi! My 2 months old baby is currently on full breast milk. The doctor prescribed Enfamil multivitamin supplement for the baby. After taking it, we noticed that baby poops lesser. He usually poops a few times a day but now he only poops once every 2 days. The smell of the supplement is also very strong and baby doesn’t like it. 2022-01-19Hello! Good Afternoon everyone 💕 It’s my first pregnancy & I’m currently almost on Week 8. I first discovered my pregnancy at Week 6 and I frequently have those abdominal cramps and aches which I have informed my gynae about & he assured me that it’s normal. I felt less of the cramps now & so far I have not feel nauseous or vomitted before. Just cravings every now and then. I understand that during the first trimester you generally don’t feel fetal movements yet but sometimes I can’t help but worry if baby is growing okay. Just wondering if its normal to feel this way?

2022-01-19Hi mummies, any shampoo with long lasting fragrance to recommend? Hoping that I can wash my hair once a day instead of twice. Ever since giving birth my scalp became very oily.(only scalp is oily, hair is dry) I wash twice a day, once in the morning then by afternoon got oil smell already. Need to wash again at night. Due to having extremely thick hair, it takes very long to completely dry my hair. As a mom, really no time for that 😭 I used to be able to go 3 days without washing hair but hair still smell very nice 🥲

2022-01-19Hi mummys🌸 I keep having meltdowns where people around me keep talking about normal delivery, is not that i dont want to but my diabetic has been hard to control in 3rd tri and my BP jst not as good as before due to hypertension during pregnancy. Baby is 3.4kg. head is big. Baby has to be delivered at 37weeks Alot of comments saying csect is easy way out, too bad you cant feel the normal delivery, go for normal, try normal. Is not i dont want to🥺but risk for baby and me. Despite before explaining my condition, i was look down😔am surrounded by alot normal delivery friends and cousins whom never gone through csect but keep saying they will never choose csect. 😢😢😢 I just want my baby safe. 2022-01-19Hi mummies. My baby now is currently 1 month 4 days. She is now drinking 90 ml. Is it too much to give her 90 ml every 2hrs to 2hrs plus ? I usually will feed her every 3hrs but sometimes it seem that she still hungry. Try to give her pacifier to calm her down but she rejected, end up giving her milk. But she manage to drink finish though. Usually before i feed her, I make sure i change her diapers, put her to sleep first or play w her before giving her milk. 2022-01-19Hi went for scan. Im around 5w5days. Doc could only see the gestational sac and nothing else. Do you think its still early? Called up a few gynae clinics and was informed that 5 weeks is still very early. Gynae Docs in hospital usually accepts patients only when they are around 8 weeks and above in order to see the yolk sac and heartbeat. Anyone experience this before?

2022-01-20Hi mummies, I have this friend who gave birth few months later than me. My child is now 23 months old. This friend out of 10 WhatsApp and face to face conversations, she will boast about how smart her son is such as, at her son's age, he is very advanced can play kick scooter, can play swing independently(but once she came my house and we went downstairs her son can't swing at all), can bathe himself, wash his own hands, remove diaper, recognise boy and girl, she says her son and her niece PD are the same and she says her PD says her son is smarter than her niece(is there even PD that will say things like this?), than says her PD assess her son's brain during normal checkup to be 3 years old(is there even such assessment during a normal check up)and the list goes on. My son is still not talking yet, only occasionally one word at times and mostly making sounds. My friend's son is talking few words and according to her sentences now, and my friend asked me if my son is talking sentences as her son is. I've hinted her there is not a need for comparison as each baby have their different milestones. To me, what her son are good at(which my son already knows) but I don't boast to her. Also, there are things my son is good at but her son is not and vice versa. I gets really uncomfortable with the conversation each time. How our conversation always ended up about how smart her son is, for example, she will complain to me say her friend compares her kid with her son and she will go on to say how smart her son is to me or she will complain her husband pick on her son but she says he should be thankful their son is very smart can do etc. etc. etc and the list goes on to me. Also, our conversation always have her son as topic, but when I talk about how smart my son is once or twice(since she is always at it) she ignores what I said. Besides her son, she also likes to boast about her assets. Once she texted me she left her home without locking the door(she stays condo) and she says she have 8 rolex in her house so she called her guard to close the door for her. Do u think this kind of friend is consider friend? Overall, I have unfriended her before more than once but gets soft hearted each time she finds me back. When I did not contact her, I feel my life is peaceful. Do u think I should unfriend her once and for all? #pleasehelp #advicepls

I send my toddler to CC daily. Except weekends. But im gg back to work as my ML has ended. Wondering how to manage bringing a baby out while fetching toddler from sch? (Need to take bus, few bus stops away, need cross traffic light and no shelter if raining) . My baby also tends to be awake when my toddler is home. Thus making my helper difficult to attend to both at the same time. My husband and I can't fetch my toddler from sch as we end work at 6pm by the time the centre is closed at 7plus pm. Can any mums share ur experience? I want things to be easier for her so i can go to work at ease. I have been worrying the whole entire time. 🥲#pleasehelp

2022-01-20My LO is 1m+. Ive had troubles latching my baby. He fussed at the boob everytime and always had a bad shallow latch. I then decided to exclusively pump. However, milk supply is low and i have to supplement with formula. I find myself almost always busy pumping and washing parts that i feel like i dont spend enough time with baby. I feel like a milking cow. :( also having breast and nipple pain (suspect thrush) :( The low Milk supply seems not worth it for me to spend very little time with baby. Any advise/ opinions? Am i incompetent to feed formula entirely? Ive bought so many lactation cookies, drinks, extra pumping parts, etc. itll be all to waste. 2022-01-20Hi ladies, I am currently Week 10 with baby #1 and was wondering if its normal for our pregnancy symptoms to fluctuate? My boobs were aching like crazy during week 4-5 and they are no longer aching now, just bigger than before. I didnt rly have nausea until after Week 6 which mostly comes when im really hungry or just at random. After Week 8, the nausea is not really there anymore. Instead, I will retch when i come into with contact with certain strong smelling scents or when I brush my teeth. I am also no longer as tired like in the earlier weeks. One thing that’s been rly constant is my gassiness, i keep burping and farting 😅 Got to meet my bean during the Week 6 5 ultrasound and saw his heartbeat too. Just wanted to know if what im experiencing is normal because its so confusing at times…and sometimes im lowkey afraid my pregnancy is not progressing and i start to scare myself

Currently my workload is tooooo overwhelming as I’m handling all type of position you can think of in a company and i wanted to prepare for pregnancy again. My company handling hygiene and my office had those chemical and fragrance smell. I’m not sure it will affect my health or my baby if I’m pregnant as I’m quite stress at work and i have to inhale all type or smell in the office. I cannot confirm those chemical will affect me or not. Even if i ask my boss, I don’t think they will say it’s their chemical issue. I don’t know if I should continue to work here but i need job. I can’t get pregnant if i change job, it don’t look good on me as well. 2022-01-21Hi mummies and mummies to be. i would like some advice. I went for my first doctor’s visit yesterday and we could see nth from the transvaginal ultrasound. Doctor did not want to rule out ectopic pregnancy and asked me to go for a blood test. Today, the clinic called to say that my HCG level was 600+ and doctor would like to see me 4 days later as my HCG would likely exceed 2000 and sac would show in the ultrasound, if it’s a normal pregnancy. Just want to seek some advice if I should postpone the visit for another week or so for the sac to develop? reason being, my first visit cost about $500 and i’m worried that there is nth in the ultrasound again and i have to pay another $500 for the visit. :( I’m still very early in my pregnancy, around 5 weeks+ only. My baby don't usually cry in front of others even when he is hungry or sleepy. But i will catch his actions. Hence my in law always doubt me when I say he is sleepy or hungry.
