2022-09-19Hello mummies. Have a great day ahead. Just to share my experience on this pregnancy. Its funny when i look back at those times where i cried every single day over small little things. I even have the thoughts that i am the mkst miserable person on earth. But on the other hand, i laugh when i tell my story to friends and family. Some suspected that i might have pre postnatal blues. Well, i dont think so. Maybe its just some sensitive feelings that come and go. Its my 8½ months now. Cant wait to see my little one. Cheers!

2022-09-19Its been difficult for me and my husband. We have been trying for quite some time and went to the doctor for checkups etc. We both knew the problem was me because of my irregular menses. The doctor recommended for a sperm analysis (on top of my blood test for hormones etc etc). My husband didnt say anything during the checkup but we got into an argument because he didnt want to. Today, I found out that he cried telling his parents abt the sperm analysis because i told him to do it (which he already did and submitted) Should i be upset or should i feel guilty about it? #PleaseAdvice #pleasehelp #thankyou

2022-09-19Hi all. I found myself crying a lot more whenever I feel overwhelmed during my pregnancy (and its my first) I tried to stop it but sometimes my emotions will always get the better of me and when I mean by cry, I will literally sob so hard.. I scared my baby will turn out to be a cry baby. Is this belief just a superstitious thing? And what are the ways can I better cope with my emotions?

2022-09-19#heartanomaly #paediatric A detailed scan at week 20 of my pregnancy revealed a mild issue with my baby's pulmonary valve. I proceeded to consult Cindy Hia 2 days later in hopes of getting a specialist's opinion. The scan took over 40mins, though throughout this time, nothing was shown or explained to us. Then, the verbal diagnosis she delivered started with what my husband and my occupation are, as the cost of treatment would be high. Then she moved on to a clear folder with drawn images of the heart condition, and concluded that with this condition, the life expectancy is 40-60 at best and multiple open heart surgeries are inevitable. She continues to talk about the possibility of genetic disorder, and told us to do an amniocentesis if we are looking to continue this pregnancy. We trusted her expertise and diagnosis, and left her room utterly distraught. All the while, we did not see any imagery of the heart scan nor receive any written report from her. As we took the next few days to decide on termination of our pregnancy, albeit with the thought of seeking a second opinion running through our heads, our gynae called us and referred us to another specialist. We proceeded to do so, in order to make a sound and resolute decision. To our surprise, the new specialist told us it was a mild issue and his diagnosis concurred with the detailed scan results. We then went on to see 2 other specialists before we drew any conclusion. At the same time, we requested for Cindy Hia's report to be sent to us few days after the visit to her clinic. The first response we got was that the report was going to take a week to be done. My experience with all other specialists was that they would refer to imagery scanned on the spot and explain to me the heart condition, along with report issued on the same day at the end of the visit - totally contrary to Cindy's. After i questioned why the report would need so long, I received it in the next couple of hours. In the written report, the content was significantly different from what was verbally told to us. Accuracy of the diagnosis aside, the entire scan to delivery of the results appears to be vastly different from other specialists' practice. In fact, i have revisited her clinic to confront her on this issue, yet i believe you have a right to know about my experience. If you are in doubt, please seek a second opinion. We almost lost our child wrongfully because of the diagnosis that was told to us by her that day.

2022-09-20Hi! I am already 40 weeks+5 days now. My EDD shld be 15 sept which has already overdue. Doctor have been pestering me to induce but i keep rejecting as the result of all the ultrascans and cardio check of my baby is positive and normal. I prefer not to be induce to force baby to come out as i want a normal natural birth and i am afraid if induce might led to csect. Can anyone advise if i should still wait until 42 weeks and let the baby come out on its own once ready?

If baby has jaundice before we get insurance for him/ her, can we pay with CDA or MediShield? I’m asking as I am not eligible for mum to baby insurance plan which can cover the baby from birth. Without the plan, my husband and I are worried about the medical bill if baby gets admitted to hospital for jaundice, as our finances are tight. 2022-09-20I am 11 weeks pregnant and I just took and ART test, which came back positive. The symptoms I have are sore throat and fever (38.2 degrees). I’ll be going to the doctor in the morning (it’s currently 0144hrs) but I can’t help but worry!!!

I am a FTM and I would like to ask if its normal to want to just stay home and wait for birth from week 37 onwards (for fear of having contractions/water bag breaks halfway outside). I have a family friend who insisted on visiting me/my family at week 39 and wants to go out for dinner etc. I've refused them over and over again because 1.) I do not want to get covid just before delivery and 2.) I can be due any point in time. Also based on my family history my mum/grandma has a very very short labouring time. 2022-09-21I’ve had light dry brown spotting 4 days before my period was due. I tested positive the day my period was supposed to come. Brown Spotting continued daily till today (10 days since first spotting). I went to A&E today to have it checked out, embryo with yolk sac could be seen within the uterus (hence ruled out ectopic pregnancy). Did a blood test and will redo again in 2 days to check if hCg doubles. I wonder if it’s normal to have brown spotting (no fresh blood streaks), doctor said it’s unusual to have implantation bleeding this long. Appreciate if anyone can share some experiences? 2022-09-22Firstly, I am under the subsidized route of KKH. Also this is my first pregnancy. So today I had my 15 weeks 5 days appointment at KKH and was suprised that I had no scan scheduled. Turns out it is just to hear the baby’s heartbeat (which lasted for only 30 secs) and consultation with a doctor. What a waste of time!!! 😂😂I asked so many questions regarding my previous blood test and doc just said that all is normal and good… and that’s it. I asked for more pre natals cos I finished almost one box of the obimin and fish oil. Guess what? The bill came to a whopping $147.23. Very suprising that only pre natal vitamins costs me this much with the hassle of going down to KKH at 8 in the morning 😂 Oh well. Looking forward to my 20th week then! P.S this is only my 3rd appointment and its already costing me almost $500… I wonder how people have many kids and keep up!! Times are hard 😂

2022-09-22Today went for my check up. Scan baby check weight and heart beat. Every thing is good. As i am at week 38, doctor check cervix totally haven’t open , baby ald full term and weight at 3.05kg. So next week doctor ask to see again see if cervix open or not then on the day of my appointment i can already go for induce.. my edd is 6 oct.. me n hubb y agreed on inducing one week earlier.. i think also is about time to welcome our baby.

2022-09-22I’m currently at mid of my week7. Previously I had very sore boobs, daily stomach cramps, morning sickness and a little frequent to the toilet. Today, most or all of my symptoms are gone. My sore boobs are no longer sore unless I pressed on it. Should I be worried and visit the gynae ? My last gynae visit was last week and no abnormalities highlighted by the doc. Not sure if I’m overthinking as I had a miscarriage in June this year during week 5 of my pregnancy.

2022-09-23I'm going to be 24 weeks from next Monday onwards. I'm suffering from severe sciatica pain especially more at my right side. The pain radiates from the butt all the way to the thigh kind of nerve pulling. Anyone experiencing this? Very difficult to get on the bed, turn and to even sit down. I stay home do household chores... when my free time, my friends all working...night time is hard to meet them as I need to care for baby and baby will cry murder if he didn't see me though my hub trying his best to help... 2022-09-23Hi parents, please share me some guides. My baby is 11 months & 21 days now. But almost every night, he wakes up at 4am or 4am plus for milk, n he would demand 120ml +- then only he can sleep back. If there is any delay of milk supplying like I try to pad him instead of making the milk speedily, he would be fully awake from his sleep n started screaming and crawl up and down to play in his crib. His milk in a day is around 700 to 800ml + 2 solids for lunch & dinner. He sleeps around 10.30pm every night. My husband and I r super tired w it. Any help pls?

Will there be any issues if I postpone my second appt to 12 wks so I can skip transvaginal scan? It's kinda painful / traumatizing for me.. I just gave birth naturally on 7th June & afraid to be preg again. I read online that there's risk involved such as higher risk of premature baby & low birth rate or even other diseases. I'm not so concernedabout myself but my baby if I really do get preg again... Docs also usually advise not getting preg until about 1-2years later however when I did teleconsulation to get "morning after pills" , the doc say there's no risk for short gap pregnancies..
