2022-08-08Hi mummies, I had sudden bleeding (blood trickling down my legs) for around 10mins after a hot shower. Went to gynae immediately and did a vaginal and urine test but could not find any bleeding in the vagina or urine. Gynae could not diagnose the cause of bleeding but put me on bedrest for 4 days. I have low lying placenta though at my 20 week scan. Do you all have similar experience? Very worried #1stimemom

2022-08-08Hi there! I'm about 4 months preg and I actually had a fall earlier whilst trying to stop the main door from slamming shut due to the strong wind. Should I be concerned about the baby inside? Like anything to monitor for? It was a hard fall but on my left knee , so I think It might bruise a little. I haven't told my hubs yet as I don't want to worry him. As of now I just feel pain from the fall 🤣 but not cramps or anything. Pregnancy this time really makes me a little bit more clumsy than usual.🥲

2022-08-08Hi mums. Recently I found that my baby likes to be held by my mother a lot. Whenever I carry her she cries. I carried her the same way my mums Carries her and she cry. But when my mum Carries she is so quiet and calm. I feel like a failure I can’t even carry and soothe her.. and my mum keeps telling me “see, you have to hold her like that”. Whenever I do it doesn’t work. And she kinda mocks me. Im a FTM and my mum doesn’t teach me much. She’s very old fashioned. 2022-08-08Hi mummies, i need some advice. My baby is 11 months and its quite difficult to get her attention. Sometimes we need to call out his name multiple times before he turn to look at us. We tried to ask him to pick up his ball, teach him how to stack boxes, teach him how to say byebye, repeatedly show him which one is cat in the book but he did none of the above. He can only mumble 'tatata'. Sometimes i was so frustrated when teacthing him and he just dont seem to understand. To add on, my PIL always compare him with his cousin who is 2months younger than him but are more quick in achieving his milestones. Are all this normal for baby at his age ? I really pity my son ☹️

2022-08-09Hi Mommy, i just given birth 2 weeks ago to a babyboy. He eats alot around 90-100ml per feed but my breastmilk is low. Each session I only managed to get around 40ml both boobs combined. I need to give him formula most times. How much does your newborn eats and what can I do to increase ny milk supply. I pump every 3 hours since my baby wats every 3 hours. 2022-08-1034 weeks now, feeling really exhausted. Taken like about 2 weeks or more NPL in total as of now. Groin hurts really bad, backpain is crazy. Loss of appetite for weeks already. Gynae not willing to give HL. Used up my leave and MC already. Have taken more than 2 weeks of NPL as of now 😭 People usually say you'll tend to eat more in 3rd tri. Not for me. My appetite lessen in my third tri. I feel so not myself. I don't want to do anything. I want baby to be out and I feel guilty saying that cause I'm in a lot of pain. I want my baby to be growing healthy and be born at the right time but the pain and exhaustion has really got to me. My emotions are crazy. I feel OK at one time and the next moment I get sad and/or angry. My next appt is when I'm at 36 weeks. So so exhausted.
2022-08-10Hi, I saw some blood when wiping after going toilet at week 7. Took Duphaston immediately. And the blood stopped thereafter. Just wondering how many days should I take the Duphaston for? Should I stop since the bleeding has stopped since then? I have taken it for 2 days already.
2022-08-10I have a maid available for transfer immediately. She's from Myanmar, has 2 children of her own and she loves kids. Reason for letting her go is that my elder son prefers the previous helper. She speaks basic English. Her cooking is not bad and cleaning is alright. 2022-08-10So my child has been in School A for infant care since she was 4 mths old. Everything was ok, and now she has been upgraded to PG class and still crying all the time for the past 10 days. She doesnt want to go to PG class i guess due to new envinronment, new teachers n classmates. We are moving house, hence coming December we register her to the new school. Now im worried that finally she settle down in current school then in a few mths time she need to readjust to new school again. Will she be ok? 2022-08-10I am a first time mom and my baby is just 3 weeks old. I feel exhausted, clueless and lost sometimes. My baby cries alot, always want to be held and i get frustrated at myself for not able to console him. Everything seems to be so challenging and i am overwhelmed. My husband and i gets into arguments almost every other day due to the stress and tiredness from being new parents. There is no intimacy anymore. We only have each other because our family lives in another country. I feel lonely and alone on some days. We do not have any help and im also stress about my low supply of breastmilk. Waking up every 3 hours, and yield only less than 50ml each time makes me feel useless. Sometimes i cant even wake up every 3 hours because when baby sleeps, that is the only 1-2hours i can have naps. I feel bad not giving my baby much, 6 times out of 8 i will give him formula. 2022-08-11Hi moms! I’m FTM, My baby is 4 months 20 days, is breastfeeding and formal milk. Following what I read, I plan to give food when my baby at least 5 months an a half. But around 2 weeks ago, She slept during night time up to 5 hours wake up to ask for milk. And so far she woke up every 2 hours to 3 hours to ask for milk, even though I fed very much before sleep. So far, she drinks around 800,900ml of milk a day, before that She drank 600,700ml. I’m happy when my baby can drink a lot, but I’m exhausted that waking up in the middle of nights to feed her. So the question is : Are those the signs that my baby wants to eat some solids food?#firstmom #firstbaby

2022-08-12Hi, I am 14 weeks and 3 days pregnant. But I am still facing the same symptoms as my first trimester, nauseous, can’t seem to swallow my own saliva and always feeling lethargic. I thought stepping into second trimester will be a good thing as I heard the symptoms will go away but for me it’s not and I’m starting to feel mentally tired.

Dr said could be allergic reaction and ask me to apply moisturiser daily on that area. Can I check any recommendation? So far I’ve been applying aloe vera gel and it didn’t help much.

2022-08-12Hello mummies. Is there any mummies also face this kind of issue? Like before being pregnant, I'm not into these food. Like coke, 100+, sprite, french fries, burger, hashbrown, coffee, oolong tea, chinese tea, etc. But after being pregnant, I have craving for all these almost everyday. i don't know is it because i have a hard time controlling these cravings, my baby is actually smaller than expected. 28 wks but baby is only 26 wks. doctor said it's okay due to genes. Both my spouse and i are quite short. First child is also smaller in size compare to peers. Does anyone face similar issue? Like you know these food are bad for you, but you just can't control your cravings. What are some issues you faced once your baby is born? Is the baby alright when born?

2022-08-12I’m 10 weeks pregnant with my second. My first born is only 6 months. My nipples are crazy sore 24/7 especially when latching. I just put a straight face and pretend it doesn’t hurt at all when I’m dying inside lol. Slowly feeding her bottle, she’s slowly accepting bottle but it’s a battle because I still breastfeed her to bed at night and when she wakes up in the night.

2022-08-12My boy is 28 months now. He has been drinking Nan Optipro since birth and a month ago we changed to Pediasure Gold. Ever since he started on Pediasure, we noticed that he’s always constipated. Hard stool. He would tell us “Poop pain”. So we’re planning to change to another brand. We’ve tried giving him fresh milk but he didn’t like it and refuse to drink. He only wanted the flavoured ones. Any suggestions on other formula brands? Thank you!

2022-08-13I’m about w8 - 9 into the pregnancy and I’m feeling horrible as a person. I feel guilty for being more worried than happy about this pregnancy though it is planned and what I wanted. It feels different from how I imagined I would feel and cope. I am self-employed and WFH most times. My MIL has been coming into the room (most times without knocking the door) asking me for my lunch preference which I usually turn down because I’ll get my lunch when I’m hungry, but my lunch time is too late for her. But yet, I can’t tell her off in a firm way because she gets sensitive and things will turn awkward. I also get told off for drinking fresh milk in the morning (at about 10-ish am) because it’s cold. I feel that she is imposing her way of life into me, which makes me angry because I feel that I am not respected this way. I can’t even tell her that she should knock onto the door before she comes in because “this is her house” as how she would respond. Strangely, she knocks whenever my hubby is home so my hubby can’t point it out to her since she knocks every time he is home. Just today, in front of my sister in law, she insisted that she wants to command my husband to order or cater lunch for me everyday because I turn her offer to buy food for me (I know she’s nice and I should be thankful that she offers to buy lunch for me but it gets stressful because this leads to her interfering what I eat and how much I eat and an endless list). I expressed that I do not require such services from her and my husband but she can’t seem to understand that this is crossing the line and making me very uncomfortable. My hub has try to communicate with her with regards to the eating concern by telling her that we are assured by the Dr that it is ok because my MS is bad and I puke after each meal. And since I really dislike food, Dr gave the green light to skip meals or eat lesser until I feel better. I also find myself frustrated or hurt or angry at things more and I wonder if it’s because of the fact that I’ve to stop my long term psychiatric medication due to the pregnancy. And at the end of each day, when I reflect upon my day, I feel that I seem to be the problem since I am the one being affected and seems like I’m the only common object among all upsetting incidents. Idk where this post is leading to, perhaps I’m just ranting. These days, I just feel the weeks are passing by too slow and I want to close myself up and interact as minimal.
2022-08-13I’m a FTM, and my baby is 2.5 months old. I’m currently staying at my in-laws’, and I’ve had a hard time adjusting to the environment here. I also feel bad for my baby ☹️ Firstly, air pollution — the house is frequently exposed to 2nd hand and 3rd hand smoke. My FIL, bro-in-law and husband are heavy smokers. It’s a corridor unit and they smoke at the corridor, sometimes in the toilet. They also burn incense (like 10+ joss sticks each time) for prayers every morning and evening. As a non-smoker, I cannot stand the smell and worry for the health of my baby. Secondly, noise pollution — my FIL is a retiree and hurls profanities frequently (always talks to himself and curses out loud in Cantonese). He loves to watch TV loudly every night from 11pm to 4am, and sometimes it’s difficult to soothe baby to sleep at night. Lastly, hygiene — the family doesn’t have a habit of washing hands with soap or using hand sanitizer before touching/carrying my baby. They didn’t have any hand soap at their sinks until I moved in and bought for everyone to use, but I wonder if they use. I always complain to my husband, but he thinks I’m a clean freak and being OCD since he grew up in this environment. Is it just me?
