2022-07-25Hihi,my baby just turned 12 months. Recently 1 week he started to wake up more often in the midnight, example 12am,2am,5am... isit sleep regression? Last time very rare. Only woke up of he drop pacifier, give n he ok. Now is pacifier also cannot,he will toss n turn,cry,whine super loud.weather is bad but we switch on air con... Wondering isit growth spurt,sleep regression or hungry?
2022-07-25Went for 1st appointment, supposedly 7weeks based on LMP. Only saw an empty gestational sac measuring 20mm with no signs of embryo. Waiting for another 2 weeks before the next scan. Anybody had the same experience and managed to see an embryo at the next week? Hoping for a miracle…
2022-07-25Hello mummies, i’ve been sending my baby to ifc since she was 4 months old, and she is 8 months old. She adjusted well, but the only problem is she doesn’t want to sleep there. She will nap 2-3 times a day but only for a 20-30 mins duration. She can stay awake up to 6hours. And she’ll get cranky in the evening because she’s overtired. Any mummies have the same issue? How do you cope with this? It is making me worry as she’s not getting enough rest on daily basis. #pleasehelp #1stimemom
2022-07-25I’m quite an active person and soon to be FTM, and was wondering is it pantang to go out at all during the confinement period? Both my mum n MIL said NO cannot else will have “wind” go in, but I think I’ll be very depressed if totally can’t step out during 28 days. Of course, will prefer to recover n be with baby most of the time. But this feels like a superstition more than a recovery thing. Any thoughts?

2022-07-25I visited my OBGYN for a scan (6w2d). The scan showed everything good, even saw heartbeat. After 1 hour on my way back, I experienced heavy flow of fresh blood with no cramp at all. And after this I am not experiencing any more flow or pain. I am very confused because I just saw the heartbeat and everything was good, so suddenly how could this happen. Could this be due to cervical irritation caused by the scan itself? Has anyone experienced this before? I feel perfectly normal (no period cramp kind feeling). Would really appreciate if anyone who faced this can reply soon. Thank you 🙏

2022-07-26Hi Mommies, I just given birth 6 days ago and a first time mom. During the evening my baby cries ALOT. Even after feeding and change of diapers he still cries. He would open his mouth and look like as if he is hungry even after i just breastfeed him for 20mins. He would also cry the moment we place him in his cot. He seems so fussy and not comfortable at night but he sleeps well (we will wake him up after 3.5hrs to feed) during the day. 2022-07-26hi mummies. i would like to know if any mummies have had any experience of changing from private hospital to fully subsidised under kkh/nuh. im currently 29weeks @ TMC. i just found out that i have low iron and im just thinking of plan B if incase there are complications, i would like to switch over to fully subsidised (nuh/kkh). reason being: wanna avoid the high bills. my question is: 1) i can just go to polyclinic to get a referral? 2) for the antenatal fees claimable under medisave, nuh/kkh will be able to process it for me right eventhough the bills were all from TMC? thank you in advance and would appreciate any other information related to this ☺️

Is there a way to bring down the temperature other than eating panadol and manuka honey with lemon? Can I use Kool fever cooling pad? Not sure if it’s safe to use.

2022-07-26I did my 5-Day ET on 18 June, did my HCG blood test on 30 June and managed to get a BFP with 670.6 results back. Did my first scan on 12 July managed to see gestational sac (measuring week 4) and yolk sac without fetal pole detected. I suddenly had brown discharge consecutively three days one week later and decide to drop by O&G and finally saw flickering fetal pole measuring approximately 2mm. Back for my scan today and no heart beat detected and gestational sac measuring at 5 weeks day 4. Anyone had similar encounter who can advise me? 2022-07-26Hi guys can I check if it is possible for baby to get hives after having 1-2 feeds of stage 2 milk? Baby just turned 6 months so I'm transition him to stage 2 but notice he started developing hives. Brought him to the doctor and doctor said it's definitely hives, and it comes and go, no need to change formula of milk. Didn't change his brand of milk but again yesterday after feeding him one feed of stage 2, he started developing spots/hives on his face. I'm at a lost. I bought nan supremepro ha on standby however. 2022-07-27As the title says, any of you does this? I intend to do so in preparation for arrival of baby as I don't want the house to be messy or dusty when the baby arrives. Also, I have anxiety issues if my mother or mil comes over & make comments about my house (they are the old-fashioned type who expects everything to be spick & span) & on the absence of certain items/things. 😣I'm at 32 weeks & I already feel stressed about them coming over during the "4th trimester". I'd rather they visit for 1 to 2 hours & go home rather than staying around to so-call "help" but will put more pressure on me. It's my 2nd baby, they treat me that way during my 1st one. My gynae suggested me to get admitted for 1 day and get the iron IV as up dosing my iron tablets might not be that effective for me. Can share what you had to do and was the IV effective? My window is starts on the 31st of July. How can I make her turn before the EDD. 2022-07-27Hi Mommies, I have been giving full breastmilk (mixture of refrigerated / fresh -- once expressed out) to my 4 months old baby since birth and I have started giving her thawed frozen breastmilk when she turned 3.5 months old in order to prep her to accept it once I stop expressing breastmilk. But my baby couldn't accept it even with the smallest ratio of thawed frozen breastmilk mixed into refrigerated breastmilk as you know thawed breastmilk tends to have an unpleasant smell/taste. I gave up after trying for a week and return to giving her fresh breastmilk (room temp, once expressed out, non-refrigerated) because we are concerned that she loses weight. After one day of giving her full fresh breastmilk, I realised she couldn't accept refrigerated breastmilk anymore and I feel very worried about this. Any mommies out here experienced the same situation and any advice? 🙏🏻

2022-07-28Hello MTBs & FTBs! It's my first, it's unplanned & a surprise for me and my husband. I haven't seen a doctor / gynae to confirm the pregnancy (first step taken & getting this confirmed at Polyclinic today). Peed on 6 test kits & all positive; last one taken on 25th July 2022 - ran out lol. Was hoping to get some sharing from you all if the above symptoms are normal. I spot every 3 days. It's interesting, like a day's break after the third day before I spot again, never enough to fill a panty liner after a whole day. The nausea is sometimes insane. When I get too hungry, I feel sick. Too full, I feel sick. Wake up, I feel sick. The intervals of MS starts to get closer and closer too. I am trying some of your suggestions, of course there are hits and misses, though so far none that can really ease the MS down. I tend to overthink, read up alot on ectopic cases & miscarriages; just to brace myself for the worst case scenarios. On and off, I sometimes feel preggo, & sometimes i don't. Thank you :) Edit #1: So, polyclinic could only confirm that I am a preggo, and said I had to go down to KKH emergency department stat because bleeding cases like mine aint normal : implantation or everything else lol Edit #2: KKH says there is minor bleeding and looks to be stable, I have opted to stay home for the next two weeks to monitor before my next appt slot. Got a chance to see a tiny flicker of heartbeats too. :) Sounds bout right!

2022-07-28Everytime when my 6 month old starts coughing, he'll tend to vomit every after feed. I dont know what else to do. Tried to dilute the milk, doesnt work. Gave saline rinse also doesn't work, also tried decreasing the milk intake also doesnt work. Not much meds avail for their age range too. Very tired now.

2022-07-28My newborn is only a week old. My mum tells me not to let BB cry so much because air might enter his tummy and make him uncomfortable. I explain that BB only cries when he's hungry, need a change of diaper or what not. And my mum handles my BB roughly during shower time and wearing clothes. I constantly remind her to be gentle. The other day my BB cried bloody murder for nearly 2 hours only to find out my mum went to sort of pluck out his umbilical cord cause its dropping soon. I feel very heartbroken. Luckily, the belly button seems fine. On the other hand, my MIL ask me to stop breastfeeding because she says I look pale, and most likely it's due to not having enough nutrients since young. She said my breastmilk will affect the growth of my son when he reaches puberty. She insist giving formula, and to give BB drink water after formula milk as its heaty. 2022-07-29Hey everyone I am pretty bummed out now that I’m only less than a month now and my breastmilk is low. I tried pumping 10mins on each side and 10mins rest and repeat the cycle but i only get 40ml from both breasts for 3 days straight. Any advice i could get to help increase my milk supply? Slept and had some blood stains that was not much to fill a pad. The next day, wiped and there was still minimal blood but it was still present and again not enough blood to fill a pad. 2022-07-30Hi anyone, jus need some supportive encouragement as I am feeling very down. I had light spotting ytd night and is currently at week 7 day 3. Today morning went to see gyane to check wad happen and the ultrasound showed tt there us irregular gestational sac shape. In Addition, baby didn’t grow much from 22 July till today (30 July). Doctor called for hcg blood test today and on Monday. She said if Monday hcg level is lower than today then maybe it’s so not good news. I am 36 this year and this is my first. Has anyone encountered similar issues but went on to have a healthy pregnancy journey? I am just praying for miracle. But also mentally and physically tired. A lot of anxieties and worrying a lot.
