2022-07-18Hi ladies, I am 5 weeks pregnant but I have no symptoms except the missed period. No sore breasts, no nausea. Should I be worried? #advicepls
2022-07-18I’m working as a engineer (My job require me to go to site to do testing like walk around & climb ladder). I’m currently less than 3 mth preg..for the past 1 month 2 colleagues from my team left, we only left 3 staffs & have to cover more work now. My boss also promoted me but i didn’t inform him about my pregnancy because that time is less than 3mth. But recent checkup gynae said i do have slight blood clot inside (动胎气) so he increase my duphaston & need to bed rest for 2 days. This is my 2nd pregnancy & is only less than 8mth apart from my 1st one. I don’t know i should inform my boss about it now because 1st: it’s still less than 3 mth, 2nd: we already short of manpower i suppose to help them, but i’m also very worried about my bb. And it’s also like i just came back from my confinement on Feb this yr lol don’t know how should i inform them too..I really don’t know what i should do now..thanks for spending time reading #pleasehelp

2022-07-18Hi Mummies, i am a first time mum and I have been thinking a lot about taking a short career break after my 4mths maternity. My current work place is very very toxic (even while I am pregnant) and the industry I am in isn't exactly family friendly. I have never taken any work breaks or had gaps between jobs the past 8yrs. This is the first time I am giving a short career break some serious thought. Was thinking to resign after 4mths maternity and take a 3 to 4mths break before I start looking around for a new job in a different industry. Financially, I can afford to be out of work for 12mths. 2022-07-18Went to see doctor in the morning. We already saw the gestational sac stating that the position and the size is normal. But we came too early to see the heartbeat. Wait for 2 weeks at least to start hearing the heartbeat. (Hoping) Given Duphaston and aspirin for medication and maintenance of pregnancy. Relieve to hear doctor saying that everything seems normal. Please pray for us!

2022-07-18How to deal with PIL who always want to be with us for baby’s first time(s)? Keyword: always Baby’s first time go school, baby’s first time go zoo, baby’s first time go aquarium, baby’s first pool experience.. etc, etc. Not that they can’t follow us to outings but please, there are times when I just want me hubs and baby to spend the time together. Baby’s first time(s) are pretty special and it makes me feel like… I don’t even know what to describe. Always want to be there with us anywhere. And what makes it worst is that hubs is a mama’s boy. So… every time it’s a OK with whatever she wants.
2022-07-18My 2mths old baby been very cranky during feeding, almost every feeding she takes about 1 hr to finish 110ml. Is it normal? When about to feed her she will just cry and wiggle away, and when she finally sucks the milk she will suck too fast and choke even when the teat is the right size. Or she will just fall asleep after just sucking for a good 10mins on off and only drinks like 40-50ml. Any solution that might make her feeding improve? 🥲🥲🥲

2022-07-18My 27 month old LO fell off our bed while he was sleeping. I went out to the toilet and it hasn’t even been 1min, the next thing I hear is him falling. My bed is a storage bed so it’s quite high about below my pelvis level (I’m 155cm). I don’t know how exactly he fell or which part of him hit the floor first but mainly I am concerned about him hitting his head. Cause by the time I ran to him, he was already sitting up. Cried for less than a min, picked him up and hugged him. Asked him where does it hurt and he touched his head. Then he went back to sleep. Woke him up to see if he could walk and luckily he was walking fine. I felt so bad for leaving him for that short period of time. I really did not expect this to happen and it’s haunting me. It hurts to see him fall. I feel so guilty I could die. I checked his head for any bumps but couldn’t feel any. I will try and check again in the morning once he is awake. Will definitely monitor him for the next 24 hours. I just don’t want anything bad to happen to him, else I’m gonna regret it for the rest of my life. I am getting paranoid. I don’t want him to get any internal injury or in pain 😭💔

I was walking down the stairs and i almost tripped on my pants(palazzo pants) Almost fell 2 steps down face down but i broke my fall by jumping down 2 steps down instead.. 2022-07-19Anyone else have ever experience staying with mil but sil's kids always come here and being fucking annoying and loud.. and even worst is that they dont stay here.. and my mil attitude really change from worst to fucking worst whenever theyre around. To the extend that she will be very snobbish twards me, husb and our baby. But when those 2 kids arent around, she will act all innocent and make her stupid ugly sad face.

However, these few days, she has been drinking only 30ml each time and within the next 30mins-1hr she will ask for more milk again. We can take 1.5hrs to finally finish feeding her 90ml. 2022-07-20I have been off BCP for 2 months and tried to conceive through natural conception. Last month I gotten my menses so we tried again this month and today is supposed to be the start of my period. I tested this morning and it shows as negative and I am feeling defeated. I have regular menses that is always on time and am still trying to learn to get a positive result. I ordered ovulation test strips to better my chances. I am curious how long it took for you to conceive your first child and did you go through all the recommended steps like taking ovulation tests and keep track of your BPO etc. I could use any advice! 2022-07-20Hi mummies, my baby’s eyes rolled up few days back and we rushed to a&e. Dr confirmed they were episodes of seizures. We did all the test for brain infections and EEG etc, but all came back normal without any suspicious findings. She didn’t have fever, or stiffing of body etc. I wonder if any mummies have had the same experience with me? Does your baby has any recurrent episodes after discharge, and is it true they grow out of it at around 2 years old? 2022-07-20Hi. I’m at 10 weeks now and up till today. I can’t seem to swallow my own saliva, I’ll usually spit. Cause I feel more nauseated when I swallow my own saliva and sometimes when I do swallow it, it creates a mucus or phlegm form and it makes me want to gag. Any idea if this is normal? 2022-07-20Does anyone has your MIL “taking care” of the baby in the sense of jus carrying the baby whenever the baby cries or when she is bored and wants to play with the baby? She says she dunno how to feed or change diapers etc. The baby just cries for 5 secs and when I’m still trying to find out why the baby cry or trying to coax the baby, she just comes in and says let her carry. What can I do? My baby is jus 2 weeks old and of course I’m trying to learn while the confinement nanny has been taking care of the baby now.. But I feel my MIL is carrying the baby too much.. Baby sleeping peacefully in cot then no need to carry so much? And she is not really helping to take care of the baby.

2022-07-20Eversince we had a kid, i lost all my love for hubs. The way he takes care of LO disgusts me. I already told him multiple times to not leave her crying so badly, go and carry her but no, he doesnt want to. He says that she's big enough already, shouldn't cry so much anymore and should be able to sleep on her own. Lol, she's only 6 months. When LO resists sleep, my family would try to rock or pat or even walk around the house to soothe her. But no, he wants to do it his way. He'll only sit while carrying her and let her continue crying while patting her ever so slowly. Either that, or he'll rock her roughly to "quicken the sleeping process". He doesnt want her to get pampered Now he suddenly says that we should never ever let LO try chocolate or sweets, scared she'll be hyperactive or likes them too much over normal food. I dont think I'll ever be given a chance to try BLW. Eversince she turned 4MO, I do all the night feeds, the day feeds.. he likes to force LO to finish up until she cries and eventually drinks & i do not like that. He doesnt want to try again later and his reasoning is that "see, she end up drinking what. Ok lah, she's just pampered so she likes to cry". I'm now scared to even start LO's solids journey with him. What's wrong with him? I dont even know if I'm willing to have a 2nd child with him. It's not my pregnancy journey that's traumatising. Being a family with him makes it traumatising....

2022-07-20I am at my 7th week. And life has changed alot after the baby. Sometimes i just get this anxiety because life has been quite different I used to be living my life dancing, hanging out with friends, working hard. We just meet each other for not very long and things ascelerated so fast. Although i feel happy with him and we adore each other. But i knew there is gonna be challenges, frustrations. I am not sure when our feelings change and there only left responsibility. Are we still sticking tgt like we do now. We are gonna be official family next month and only a few of my friends knews the existence of him. Lack alone i am pregnant and about to sign my life away. Many are still dwelled in the concept of my last relationship. I never announced my last break up on social media. As i was so done with it. I am still not sure how to break the news to the world or stay low about it. Becsuse never knew what others talks about u behind ur back. We are business partners. My job was very very stressful handling difficult client and i was scared of miscarriage. So I've been staying at home while he took the stressful part from me. Every morning. There is no vomiting but headache and fatigue made me very lazy. And somtimes there is a bit of cramps. Or just weird feeling. The discomforts of my physical body made me very lazy and unproductive especially in the morning. And i will feel guity about it afterwards. Okay there is alot going on in my mind. 2022-07-21My wife is on bed rest. Nothing special. Making sure she is not stressed. I cook scrambled egg with spinach for morning. Sometimes with brocolli plus orange or apple slices and unsweetened dark choco of hershey with equal sugar. Drinking 2L of water at least daily. Lunch is fish, 2 vegetable Dinner mostly fish with vegetables. Watching Korean Netflix and movies all day. (I guess she will finish al the shows in netflix 😅) My wife pee most of the time and feels nausea.
2022-07-21My 15 days old baby is sometimes feeding less than 2hrs.. N the amount is not consistent. Is this a concern or shld jus feed him based on his feeding wants? Also how long do you let the baby burp or sit upright before putting him back to bed? Cos my confinement nanny only burps him like a few mins and then will put him down already, say that’s enough.. if try to carry him longer, she will say don’t make it a habit, else baby will need ppl to carry nxt time. But sometimes we see our baby spit out abit of milk while he sleeps, which she says is normal for baby to spit out milk cos their stomach is shallow. Which is correct??

2022-07-21Hi mommies have any of u encounter excessive saliva that u have to bring the spitting cup everywhere u go? It's kinda annoying for me and this is my 4th pregnancy. I need to work and his nap habit is disturbing other kids in his school. So I’m actually stress now on how to make my baby settle down and don’t disturb others. I am planning to sign up for Mummy Babycare course by Sharon, it is a private course and costs way much more (about $500+ for a couple, 2 full days) but the content seem to be more in depth than a general 1 day crash course offered elsewhere. 2022-07-22I'm considering whether there's a need to hire a confinement lady. Basically I want to take the first mth to really learn from someone experienced on taking care of baby and breastfeed etc, and help to cook proper meals as well. I believe my mom is more than willing to be around during the first few months after birth to help out in any way i ask. However my mom's not an experienced cook nor did she tk care of any grandchildren before, so I feel half hearted to have her to cook confinement recipes, do marketing, washing and all while caring for baby all by herself. Nor will she be staying overnight, would be so tiring! (I know there's also an option of ordering tingkats, I'm open to that too!) Was wondering if anyone has hired confinement lady before and at the same time have mom's extra pair of hands to help out at home? 2022-07-23Hi all im literally in my 16 weeks n 4 days journey. I dont normally wear bra at home n yesterday when i woke up was the 1st that i felt pain on just my left areola n nipple. N when i touch it it is hard but it is not when im lying straight up.. its only painful when i let loose n when im in an upright position be it sitting or standing (without bra). Not when im lying down.. i hv to literally hold it up or rest it against my pillow to avoid from the pain..Nothing on my right breast though. I do not know if it has anything got to do with milk producing or its others that i should be concern of..Ive gone through the sore n tender breasts during 1st trimester but dis is nothing like dat. 2022-07-23I'm having cough and flu, and tested 2 lines for ART test. So i went to a clinic to get a MC, and doctor asking whether i'm pregnant. And I say impossible i'm pregnant 😂 But he says better check it because it will affects the medicine he gaves. I agree to take the urine test, and ta-da! He says i'm pregnant 😶😮😯😦😱 I asked is the test accurate?? He 😂and says 95% yes. And so i need to take PCR & ART test(bcz of pregnant). ART shows two lines. The doctor congrats saying that i have two two lines 😅

My hair line is receding and I literally have a terrible bald spot (diagnosed with Alopecia areata) cause of the immense stress I'm under (working from home and caring for my baby alone). Hoping some of you fellow parents or mommies can comfort me or reassure me that my hair will get back in a year or two 😭. Am so so depressed about the amount of hair that is dropping. Also I'm already using hair loss products but still very upset at how much is dropping and how I just don't look the way I used to anymore :( am gonna get treatment next month. She has problem taking bottles and till date doesn’t take any form of milk be it breastmilk or formula on bottle unless she’s really starving. She doesn’t take pacifier as well, as is 100% on my breasts. She even use my nipples as pacifier to soothe her to sleep. I’m quite worried as I’m unsure how long this goes on and lately when she turned 6 months, she apparently needs more time on breastfeeding, resulting for me to not have anythign to pump out for her on emergency days.
