2022-06-27Any mommies here had night sickness instead of morning sickness? 🥲 This is my #2 and I tend to get nauseated at night , throwing up at times. 2022-06-27My baby is 1 month old now. She stops whining when I breastfeed her but sometimes my husband tries to pacify her through other ways like giving formula milk, carry and coddle her, etc. but she continues to whine. Sometimes her screams that last around 45mins (with only 5mins max of silence in between) stresses me out because I deal with her for 24hrs unlike my husband who goes to work during office hours. So I tell him to hand her to me so I can breastfeed her to calm her down but my husband sometimes refuses with the reason that he doesn’t want it to be a habit and the only way to pacify her. Is breastfeeding to pacify a crying baby really a bad habit? Is it irrational for me to feel like I’m going crazy to hear my baby whining because I feel useless when my husband refuses to hand her over?

2022-06-27During pregnancy, I had trouble sleeping at night and would play some games on my phone to tire myself out before I could finally fall asleep. My insomnia became worse towards the end of second trimester and lasted through the rest of my pregnancy. Now that the baby is out, baby would keep crying and refuses to sleep although there are instances where baby fell asleep for a few seconds before baby starts crying again. Husband is now blaming my ‘sleeping habit’ during pregnancy because it now falls onto the baby who refuses to sleep at night. Am I at fault for this?

2022-06-27Both of my kids just recovered and now my husband is sick which is expected. I told my husband to stop vaping for awhile because it makes him even more sick. He just doesn't freaking care. He vapes and vapes then now he's really sick and i have to be the one to take care of both of my kids cos my husband cant be near then. He knows vaping is going to make him worst but he's damn ignorant about it. He always tells me about common sense but this one got common sense meh?!?!?!?!?!?! 2022-06-27I'm 32 weeks and I'm stressed all the time. The fact is that I've no reason at all. My husband tries to keep me calm and my work doesn't have much stress. It's just that I can feel it in my body. I feel that I'm stressed, I feel that I'm gonna burst at times. My mind makes up all stupid reasons for the stress, but it doesn't help. 2022-06-28Hi mums. My baby (9m) is starting to develop anxiety whenever anybody want to carry her (main caregiver is granduncle & grandaunt). She’s has started turning her heads away from anybody and will cry if they force her. (Especially towards both me and hubs parents). She will start crying non-stop. However, the grandparents refused to pass her back to me for me to soothe. I had to grab her off them (well, not rudely k) because she’s clearly crying for me. Sometimes she doesn’t even want her father. So… I’m not sure how to tackle this issue. I do not like their idea of ‘forcing’ her so that she’ll be used to having them carry her. Worst thing is, I feel like I’m invisible as my baby’s mother!

However, I have gone through the worst first trimester so far 😔 I feel so sad and alone everyday because I’m WFH and no one’s home. And my morning sickness lasts mostly till 9pm daily. 2022-06-28I’m in my week 6. Suddenly one night after dinner, I came home with coffee brown stain, you know like your tail end of menses. I contemplated between staying calm to wait till my first gynae visit in 4 days time (coz I read that spotting may be common) or to go to A&E (In case it means something bad). I decided to go to A&E instead and the nurse called my gynae over after hearing my concern. So my first meeting with gynae happened at A&E instead of his clinic! Long story short, he commented that it was a good decision to go to A&E when unsure because wondering won’t help. Check up gives a peace of mind. He checked and showed me the sac thru u/s scan. But he also commented that the black dot seemed a little small for week 6. Might be a late bloomer or not developing well :( He gave me duphaston to help support pregnancy and progesterone jab (damn painful) to help with uterine lining or something. We agreed that we will postpone our gynae visit to another week and see if the baby grows bigger. Gynae was assuring though he laid out the potential outcomes, good or bad. So first time mommies, best to make a trip to clinic when in doubt!

2022-06-28It's been a month since I gave birth. My baby doesn’t latch well so I had to pump. The first 2 weeks were amazing. I was getting a minimum of 30ml - 240 ml max. Recently, the milk started to decrease now I am getting only 10ml max every day. I tried lactation products, and power pumping but nothing seems to work. Therefore I had to provide formula milk. Should I just give up on breastmilk? Sigh.

I just went for my final prenatal visit, my cervix is still close and the gynae said not to wait long and suggests for induction as there are risks of stillbirth when baby is >40 weeks. I got scared hearing all the health risks baby might face but at the same time I am hoping for natural dilation. I ended up booking an induction appointment on my edd to fulfil 40 weeks. I still have 4 more days to hope for a miracle. Pray for me!

This is my 2nd pregnancy and although I know all pregnancies are different, this time round it's harder on me compared to my firstborn 😮‍💨 I'm turning 12 weeks in 4 days time but lately I just feel so drained out. Like all my energy is literally being vacuumed / sucked out of me 😭😭 it doesn't help that I have terrible body aches and night sickness. My 2 year old firstborn has been understanding enough that I'm fatigued and doesn't bother me much after coming back from school but I'm afraid he'll feel left out. Are there any tips or advises to help lessen this fatigue or drained out feeling? I take short naps after sending my toddler to school and wake up by noon to cook and clean. 2022-06-30I have been TTC since 2 year ago and I was detected with possible endometriosis and adenomyosis after I had my first miscarriage in May 2021. I am currently 12 DPO and since 5-6DPO, my nipples were very sensitive and hard. Just yesterday and today, clear, thick and rubbery discharge that resemble ovulation came out which is unusual as my next period is expected 2-3 days later and during these period, I am usually dry. I did not dare to do early test to avoid disappointment again. Do any of you have these kind of discharge right before period and tested BFP? P.S. I am undergoing TCM treatment to boost fertility by letting the egg mature faster since 1 week ago. Not sure if this TCM is the reason why I had such discharge now.

2022-06-30I’m a FTM to a healthy 4 months old baby boy. I just want to rant about my experience living with my MIL. From the start of my pregnancy, I can tell that she don’t care one bit. She never mentioned anything or asked anything about the baby. Eg how’s baby is doing? Is baby growing well etc NEVER. Once I was admitted to the hospital for abdominal pains during my pregnancy but got discharged the next day, i got back home and instead of asking how me and the baby were doing she said “aiya im also not feeling well.” Also another example at 37 weeks I was +covid and was admitted again for a week and not even once that she even called to asked how baby and i were doing. But here comes the most annoying part, once I gave birth, my husb and I brought our baby back home, she’s the one who so yaya papaya wants to carry the baby, wants to do this wants to do that. There’s so many hurtful things that happened to me during this 4 months but one of the most unforgettable moment was when she secretly clipped my baby’s fingernails till it bleed while i was at work and when I confronted her about it, she was so unhappy and didnt talk to me at all and only cooks for the rest of the family including my husband except for me. It’s not that i’m hard up about her cooking but I feel like this is unnecessary. I stood up for my baby who must be crying like hell the whole time shes trying to cut his fingernails and I wasnt around. If anything i should be the one offended because this is my baby! I gave birth to him and she should respect me as my baby’s mother. She always have this mindset that she’s the only want that can calm my baby and that she has taken care of her own kids so she knows better than i am. I dont care if she has 10 or 100 kids of her own but this is my son so everything will be done my way. Why do MIL always have to make things difficult

2022-07-01Saw Dr Hii once to try out if I’m comfortable with him as he delivered some of my family members and quite experienced. However I found that the nurse (Chinese) is not that friendly. She speaks monotone and with no sympathy. As a FTM and first gynae I visited, I have so many questions to ask but she just keep cutting me off. I found another suitable gynae so I called her to cancel an appt with Dr Hii next week, and she just ok bye me. Dr Hii rates as of Jun 2022 is about $500 (3 meds, consultation + ultrasound), NIPT is at $1500. In the end I chose TMC as their service is way better and charges are quite reasonable.

2022-07-01Hi mummies! Ytd night I experienced some pain in my upper abdomen, just below the boobs. It's like a pulling pain and it made it so hard to walk. Woke up this morning and everything was fine. Just awhile ago, I experienced the pain again and after showering with cold water, it disappeared (not sure if the cold water had anything to do with it bcos initially I was showering with warm water). 2022-07-01I’m a new SAHM. It can be overwhelming at times and I’d tell my husband I’m tired on some days I really can’t take it anymore. He takes over taking care of the baby who wouldn’t stop crying but at the same time curses coz he said he’s been working the whole day and now has to take care of the baby. Everytime this happens, I regret showing that I’m tired just because I’m not working and staying home the whole day. I refrain myself from telling him the challenges of having the baby screaming in my ears the whole day that got me tired mentally. I cry when it gets too much but I still hide it from him since I’m supposed to understand that he’s been working the whole day and I’ve simply been home. I feel like I shouldn’t be showing that I’m tired but sometimes it’s hard!

2022-07-02I was given Flagystatin pessary when my gynae first detected Gardnerella and yeast infection in me about 4 weeks ago. Went through 10 days of antibiotics and BV still came back once I stopped medication. He’s now prescribed me with a new course of antibiotics - Clindamycin, for 7 days. I’m honestly not keen to go through another round of antibiotics as I’m worried about the long-term effects it’ll have on the baby. Just wondering if any mummies out there went through something similar and whether the antibiotics helped stop their BV?
