E.g. extra thumb, extra finger, extra joint on a finger etc. My baby was found to have triphalangeal and polydactyly. So wanted to hear from mummies with similar experiences on what to expect. Just wanna share that I am okay with my baby having triphalangeal and polydactyly :) will still keep my baby despite this congenital anomaly.

2022-06-13Recently feeling unwell (cramps, diarrhea, vomit) so went to polyclinic to see doc, after that discovered that i’m pregnant again (2nd pregnancy). I planned to go back to my gynae but have to wait till July. Polyclinic had arranged appt for me this week at kkh, shld i go kkh for the 1st scan or just wait for my gynae? Although is my 2nd pregnancy but i feel more uncomfortable & tired than 1st pregnancy..

2022-06-13I had my period. During ovulation period we had intercourse and i had spotting the very next day that lasted for 5 days. Could this be a sign of pregnancy? Plus my tummy seems to be bloated always n hardening after the spotting stops. Im TTC for my 2nd after having my first one who is 10 this year. Did pregnancy test last few days but its negative. My boobs seems fuller. Dont know if its my period coming again or otherwise.

2022-06-13Don't judge me for saying this. I just want to pause being a mum and destress myself! I have two kids. One just got better from being sick and now the other one is sick. It's been on repeat. Just when i thought finally i can relax, i was damn wrong. My husband has been there for me. He's helping out as much as he can. My helper is too. Both are terrific. I just cried earlier on because i feel so tired. I just want to pause this and just go enjoy destress then come back all rejuvenated but i know that's not going to happen. Idk what to do. Because when I take him to the playground he starts to come down on his own & crawl, and sometimes mom or parents always look at me because I let my baby crawl. 2022-06-14My sister in law is slowly making me despise her. I am someone who recognize goodness and i admit she's been so far nice to me, but she can be pushy at times (through my husband). Few days ago she said, not asked, but said, that my parents in law and her are going to order confinement food for me. Without even asking if i'm ok with that. She has done this kind of things that disrespect me many times, and it always end up with big fight between my husband and i. So my husband replied nicely that he can provide for us, and thanked her for the offer. Her reply after that shocked me and made me broke down in the toilet cause of stress. She was being so pushy and forceful, saying things like "They (her parents) are excited to buy things for baby and house" and also to help her tell us what we need. She made it about her and her parents, instead of me. She's forcing the help she/they think we need instead of the help i really need which is peace of mind and respect my space. She said about how it's gonna be stressful for me based on experience. I am aware and prepared for that; but if she really care cause she has experienced it, why is she forcing me with her "help"? Sorry for the long vent. I've been very stress..i'm a first time mom, high risk pregnancy. I just want to be understood instead of having to accept unnecessary help. 😥😢

I’ve recently went through chemical pregnancy in March & i had a miscarriage again 2 weeks ago where my baby’s heartbeat could no longer be found and stops growing at almost 8 weeks. Gynae @ NUH said i’m all clear from my last followup to try again after my next cycle.. But i’m worried to go through this again as waiting for an appointment at government hospital takes more than 4 weeks after asking for a referral from polyclinic. What should i do or go to find an expedite appointment? 😞 going to private clinics is really expensive which i’ve done so for my last 2 pregnancies..

I understand that husband are definitely allowed to accompany during the entire labour process unless surgery has to be made, but I wonder if husbands are allowed to stay overnight with us as well once we are admitted in ward? 2022-06-14Week 15+5 now. Nausea came back again this week after taking a break for 1 week, super horrible. Recently having cold sweats easily especially when I’m standing (q-Ing for food / waiting for bus) sometimes seeing stars, and almost blackout a few times. 2022-06-14I had Oscar & NIPT test today, after detailed scanning my gynae told me my baby's neck thickness of 4.1 is above average of 2.5 so she advised me to forgo the NIPT test since it only test for down syndrome and to proceed with amnio test instead. Couldn't stop crying as I'm so worried for my baby and decide to follow gynae's advice. The 5 tubes of blood for NIPT have to be discarded. Anyone have done amnio test before? Can advise how it's like? Will it be painful? And how was your test result? #1stimemom #advicepls

I'm currently pregnant 5 months and things have been hard..few days ago i had a big fight with my husband and in the heat of a moment i threw my wedding ring at him. He picked it up at night, put in a plastic on tv rack. The next day when i was cleaning i accidentally threw the plastic away..i am absolutely broken. I don't know what to do. 2022-06-14It’s not that I don’t love my husband or anything, but since I’m pregnant there is a rush of me wanting to be with him even more. Even waiting for him to end work and be home. I feel like crying whenever he isn’t around me and I feel so alone. My husband doesn’t abandon me or leave me alone to be. 2022-06-14Hello mummies 👋 I'm not really asking/looking for advice but just more of a rant. Or more so to seek comfort with anybody that's in the same boat. Currently 30weeks w 1st bb & living with my parents as my BTO got delayed due to covid. Tentatively will be ready 2023. Aniways my situation is my mother don't really like infants/kids. She have been saying when me&bro were babies she rarely cleaned us up because she's disgusted with the poops, pees, vomit & all. Even bathing us she won't do. She will ask my father to take over instead. She basically won't deal with the messes or 'inconveniences' that comes with raising a baby. She has also outwardly voiced out preferring boys over girls. So when she found that I'm having a girl, she kind of lost interest? Honestly, I remember most of the trauma when my mother raised us while we were young. She would scream, hurl, curse and all other things because we didn't listen to her(I mean we were just kids). That's why even now at almost 30 I just can't bring myself to be a doting daughter towards her. Doesn't help that she has favouritism towards my brother 😂 Even while growing up, I didn't have a conducive,loving environment or know whats mother's love and thats sucks. I really think my mother didn't even want kids in the 1st place? Like you know the mindset of older gen that they have to bore children for the sake of it. Now that its nearing my due date, I'm scared that I would be overwhelmed or fall into depression due to upcoming changes. Mother already told me that she won't offer much help because she doesn't really want to. Its kinda sad whenever I think about this. My friends have always told me about how excited their parents are for the 1st grandchild, then there's me. But I'm so thankful I have a supportive husband. He has been reaffirming me he would take most of the load after I've given birth so I could rest. Also helps that he lovesss kids and have been yearning for 1 since we got married. He have been actively taking care of my needs and wants whilst pregnant. Aniways, here's to all the mums that got to do it on their own. Here's to breaking the cycle of toxic parenting 💪🏽💪🏽

2022-06-15Long story short I left my full time job to care for my first born when he turned 1 year old as I've no help during the pandemic, and helper was a trash. Started to look for job now that first born goes to school and realised I'm pregnant again. I'm 6 months into pregnancy now and due to unemployment for sometime I'm quite desperate for a job. My long time friend of almost 20 years her company is looking for part time for 5 days to help key invoices into new system..she is also the office manager..she says she can pay me up to $10 per hour..firstly I'm also puzzled what does up to means? Anyway I accepted the job cuz it's my long time friend. Working hours 9am to 6pm excluding lunch hour. On my 1st day I reached at 9am and ate breakfast for 10 mins. I was told to key in over 1,000 invoices which are Jan to Jun 2022 which I need to clear in 5 days. I have to transfer the invoices from old system to new system, part by part, and sometimes there's error, need amendments, need tally amount etc. When she approached me I told her I can type very fast..i really can type very fast..if its a list of items or names on paper and need me to transfer to excel I can type fast..but the invoices are not as straightforward as just copy and pasting..furthermore I double and triple check my work. And on first day after briefing when doing I also ask multiple times while working to make sure I do correctly..I managed to complete over 200 invoices on my first day..however my friend WhatsApp me and say I tot u say u can type very fast? And ask me to type faster the next day. I feel quite annoyed by her comments. Feel like asking her to do it herself. I think I can complete over 200 invoices in a day is already an achievement. I see until my eyes almost crossed and sit until my butt pain. Furthermore im preggy now. Do u think this type of friend is a friend? I'm working not sure even if there is a $10 per hour as she says up to..den she treated me like $200 per day?? Also asked me to reach office earlier to eat my breakfast first which I did the next day. #advicepls

2022-06-15I had went to SGH earlier on due to terrible pain at my pubic bone and back bone area. The doc told they I had slight contraction but cervix is still close after the check. After the check I have a bleeding immediately and they told me is normal so I discharge and went back home and rest after few hours I woke up I realise my liner are all soak with blood so I called them up again and they say normally after the check there will be bleeding ask me monitor again. So I put a big pad and sleep again now woke up my pad is having blood again is this something I need to worry?sorry for the picture #firstbaby #advicepls #pregnancy

2022-06-15Hi all, my infant is crying very badly lately. Is it a normal thing? He usually don’t cry this much. I’ve brought him to the A&E ytd but nothing much was found and doctor’s advise was to monitor and bring him back if he has fever. But today the infant care has called me to bring him back earlier due to his crying. Anyone able to advise me what else can be the problem to his crying? I’ve also tried giving him anti wind medication prescribe by the doctor as she mention that maybe it’s colic.

2022-06-15hi there! i have gdm, i'm 38 weeks now so far my blood sugar is okay not that bad. only certain time like fasting and bedtime it will spike up but never reach more than 7.2mmol before. i'm not on insulin or any sorts of medication. just diet control. i was thinking, my baby hasnt grown too big so what will happen to baby if in cases on my labour day my blood sugar suddenly spike? i dowan anything to.happen to my baby tho 🥺 i'll be doing a membrane sweep today, then 5 days later doc will induce if no signs of labour. i'm just feeling very worried for my newborn.

2022-06-16My bb was delivered via emergency c-sect by Dr. Liu Jiayi in May 2022. Just want to drop a 👍🏻 review here. For me, an understanding and emphatic are important traits of a gynae and I would say Dr. Liu is such! She's attentive to my needs, soft-spoken yet professional. I did not plan for a c-sect but due to minor complications, had to go under the knife. The surgery was well handled in my opinion & I appreciate that she often checked on how I was doing/coping both during and after the surgery.

2022-06-16Hi mummies, can I ask is it normal ? I’m 12weeks in and I can’t sleep at night. I wake up every 2 hours or 1 hour every night since early in the pregnancy. It’s causing me to have headaches due to the lack of sleep and I can’t possibly be taking Panadol every day. Any remedies or advice would be very very helpful to me. Thanks !!!

My baby already shows a sign that she wants to eat for example putting her hand in her mouth even after I feed her milk. Some say can start feeding her. Some say to wait until she properly sits down on her own to prevent choking. Which is which ya. So confuse. My baby still needs support to help her sit down. 2022-06-16I don’t know to feel bad for myself or my hubby. It hurts everywhere - boob and vagina when we attempt to be intimate. On top of that I’m having throat infection as well. It kills off the mood for him and I feel bad. But no choice I told him to wait for a while more.
2022-06-16Since I tested positive I have mild pregnancy symtpoms like fatigue, nausea and hungry. slowly I feel less fatigue and no nausea at all. I din see anything wrong at the time. Week 5 day 1 sharp pain at lower right abdominal, went gynae for ultrascan see no sac. Referred to NUH, tested positive and still no sac. Suspected missed miscarriage or etopic. I Tot it would be too early to detect a sac (make myself at ease). Proceeded with my holiday. Week 6 still in holiday. Light spotting in yellow discharge. Google tot it is normal. Week 6 day 1 had stomachache and poo. Saw heavy mense flow with some fluid. Realized it is a miscarriage. Went to the clinic, doctor said nothing can be done as there is a small sac but is empty. The night before my miscarriage, I had a dreamt which is hinting me something is not right. And what doctor said is exactly what I heard in my dream "there is a sac but is empty." Never ignore a single unusual signs during pregnancy.

2022-06-17My 7 week old baby will take a long mouth full at each feed (either formula or eBM), ranging between 30 to 60ml at one go. But then after burping him, he will turn red at the next mouth, fussing and crying but his lips still smack when we remove the bottle. Any advice pls or if your LO also had the same symptoms?

2022-06-17My 2 year old has been screaming non stop as soon as 1-2hours after putting him to bed for the past 4 days and his cries are inconsolable. I am feeling so stress as I am losing patience for this and this happened before awhile ago and i think its night terror(?) but this time im not sure whether it is also night terror as he dont look frightened or want to run away but more like he just wants to scream non stop and will stop for awhile and start again. He is currently under the weather as well (cough and runny nose) and im not sure whether it has also contributed to making him so fussy at night. Any advice? Thanks in advance....

2022-06-18I’m at my 8th week pregnancy. Doctor was going through prenatal test (Harmony test + sexual defect test) and also option of a more comprehensive test (sorry I wasn’t told the test name) which can detect other chromosome abnormalities (but very rare kind). Doctor did mention that it’s an option to do the comprehensive one and they are very rare like some are 1 in 500k! Since I’m 36 years old this year, (not young lol) I’m quite worried about fetus health. Anyone been through the comprehensive test?

2022-06-18Today is the 3rd day that I’ve been suffering 🤢 even swallowing saliva hurts.. ate medication, lozenges, mouthwash, honey lemon drink, warm water, green tea, salt water, pi pa gao but still cannot alleviate the pain.. anyone who has gone through this before may I know how many days did it take for you to recover? I had it 2 years ago but I can’t rmb how many days it took for me to recover. Prolly abt 5-7 days. But now every second feels like hell 😣 really hope tmr morn when I wake up the pain will be gone.
