2022-05-16Just tried using pre seed lubricant. Waited for around 30 min after intercourse. When I stood up, the liquid flowed out and did not seem like ejaculation. Seemed more like the lubricant. Can someone help. What does that mean ? Failed? Or added too much? I did 3g. Hmmm

2022-05-16Hi there. Mummies who were smokers before you got pregnant, how did y'all quit smoking during pregnancy? I'm still in my early stages and I find it so hard to just quit smoking. I've gradually decreased my smoking session though (max I'd smoke in a day would be 3 sticks) but I really wanna quit smoking totally. I wouldn't want anything to affect the foetus. Also , I have a toddler turning 2 at home so I don't want to affect his health as well. Although I know that it's all in god's hand if anything were to happen to my foetus , I still feel that I play a part in keeping this pregnancy healthy. Hope to hear some advises on how you guys kept away from smoking. Thanks!!

2022-05-16Hi everyone! I am currently 20 weeks pregnant and my toddler still nurses now and then, more so during the night. She has been on formula as well. 2022-05-17It's my first pregnancy and I do not know what is to be avoided till I know of this app. Read that Dang Gui is to be avoided during pregnancy as it may cause miscarriage but I have already drank a few times before week 8. My appetite wasn't fantastic and only seem to be craving for soup hence I drank like 2 bowls of dang gui soup... My 1st appointment with gynae won't be so soon till week 10 so after doing some research I'm very worried. 2022-05-17I swaddle my 7 weeks baby to sleep in an aircon room. He still can’t sleep long in his own crib (which is empty to prevent SIDS) so he sleeps beside me at times. During nap time, he falls asleep in my arms but when I transfer him to a flat surface to sleep, he wakes up shortly (no aircon and no swaddle but just a small blanket & security pillow under supervision). 2022-05-17My son is 19 months and got Mild HFMD probably from school since they gave a notice of 1 case. First was the high fever. Went to doc, gotten ibuprofen and paracetamol. Then starts the ulcer on the tongue, just one. But it looks painful. Then the rashes on neck which got better after Suubalm lotion. Then now his gums which swells on the right side is spreading to the whole top of his mouth. A little knock to the gums makes him bleed red blood in the mouth. The gums swell like its swallowing his white teeth. I tried applying Soragel but i’m not sure if it helps. I keep giving him plain water to keep hydrated. Avoid hard food like biscuits or snacks. Its been a week. Is it normal? Any advise of remedy?

2022-05-17My 18 months boy been crying whenever i send/fetch him to school. On a few occasions...teacher would feedback to me saying that he refuse to eat the food served at school. So i was thinking maybe he prefer home cooked meals..so i packed some and informed teacher. But same thing as per feedback by teachers- he refused to eat. Surprisingly, when at home, he got no issue. Can ask for a second serving of porridge and snacks too. So my question is how do teachers feed the LO who requires supervision in mealtimes. 2022-05-18Hi Mum's Wanted to check if anyone was prescribed aspirin during their 2nd trimester to increase blood flow to the placenta? Any advises on this as I was told in the fetal scan that there is a notch seen in my right and left uterine artery hence aspirin was prescribed so that blood flow to the placenta is proper and that in the later trimester it can minimise the risk of fetal undergrowth..can anyone share similar experiences?

Alhamdulillah, ultrasound scan baby (5 minggu 5 Hari) terlihat walaupun sedang Pendarahan. Perlu dipantau Dan scan lagi selepas 2 Hari ni. 2022-05-18My 2.5mo has recently learned how to roll back to tummy, and will then proceed to kick himself forward using the railings until he reaches the end of the cot. Its obviously very tiring. And when he gets tired, he starts crying. If I rescue him and flip him back he immediately rolls back, or gets annoyed and wails. If I grab him up and soothe him, he struggles in my arms and wails. And when we put him down again he will roll or cry because apparently he hates being on his back now. It only stops when he is so tired he falls asleep after a crying bout. I get it is part and parcel of his learning journey, but has anyone encountered this and what do you do to help him? When the baby cries is it just out of exertion and we should leave him be, or does he need to be rescued - if so why does he still cry? And does anyone's LO eventually learn to flip tummy to back? My mom insists that's not a thing and babies only do back > tummy > crawl. #1stimemom #firstbaby

2022-05-18Hi my child has a severe astigmatism for her left eye, she can’t see things from one angle and kept saying her vision is extremely blurry. I am very worried despite we have seen doc in KKH but her left eye’s condition deteriorated drastically within 3 months from her first visit. The recent one was just last week but the doc (not the same one from the first visit) didn’t do any eye-patching for her left eye. Thus I want to ask for some good recommendations for a PD Ophthalmologist ASAP for a 2nd opinion, does any mummy know? Pls advise me. Thanks!

2022-05-18I let my baby sleep in an empty crib while being swaddled but he doesn’t sleep for long stretches. So I have to pick him up again and again during the night when he fusses. My mil says I should put some bumpers and small cushions so that baby feels secure and can sleep better. But I’m afraid putting stuff in the crib might cause SIDS. Anyone can share some tips, please? Took charcoal pill once and relieved symptoms. However it's back again. I will feel stomachache on and off. Is this normal for 5 months pregnant? Or is it something wrong I ate? No vomit though.

2022-05-19For those with babies who still have Moro reflex, how do you dress your baby for nap and under what conditions (aircon or fan, on the same crib)? I let my baby sleep with aircon at night because he wears the Love to Dream swaddle and Tommee Tippee swaddle, which requires the room temp to be lower. For nap time, I recently tried a letting baby wear a muslin swaddle and sleep with just the fan. But it seems like it is too warm.

2022-05-19I'm 28 weeks pregnant today and getting very nervous as I realised that I've entered the third trimester and baby can come soon or later. And furthermore I'm born with gastroschisis (its a birth defect where there is a hole in the abdominal wall beside the belly button. The baby's intestines, and sometimes other organs, are found outside of the baby's body, exiting through the hole.) Yeap I was born with it and even had a scar on my stomach since I was born. First thing that I'm worried of was about my baby bump, it looks like I'm 3-4 months pregnant when I'm actually in my 7th month. Not sure if this is normal or because of my gastroschisis scar. And the second thing I'm worried and afraid of was the delivery process. How will it be, can I give a normal delivery or can I deliver smoothly without getting an operation. I'm not worried about myself but about my firstborn. If there's any gastroschisis mummies here, would you care to share your experience. 2022-05-19Hi Mummies, I just delivered my stillborn baby girl at 32 weeks. It started when I noticed I haven't felt fetal movement for the day. Eventually, we went to KKH for a check to get a peace of mind. Turned out that she has no more heartbeat... We were shocked because we just had our regular check up with our private gynae few days back. So I was induced and had to deliver her out naturally. The medical team, nurses and doctors on duty were actually very nice and helped my hub and I a lot throughout the whole process. When the baby was finally out, we got to spend some time with her before she was taken to the mortuary. Anyway, the tests done indicated nothing which might cause the stillbirth. My pregnancy was also smooth sailing so far, no GDM or any other complications. As what the doctor mentioned, there might be no known reason for the stillbirth. Just wondering and need some positive stories for encouragement, anyone managed to conceive and have a healthy pregnancy again after a stillbirth? How long did you wait before trying again? Thanks in advance.

Probably half an 🥑 will feel like it's enough but also like not enough... Not sure u all get what I mean... Constantly need to like take deep breadth if I am sitting down or slouching... And most of the food don't taste normal... Taste bud still same as first trimester but not as bad thou... And did not feel baby's kick for few days.. Should I be worried?

I recently went for my check up & baby is 3kg at 35weeks which is big & my gynae advised to check on next visit at 37weeks, if more than 3.4kg she said I should be induced. Any advice on this? As I really want to go the natural way instead. I heard induce is way more painful and most end up with C sec. 2022-05-19I’m currently 12 weeks pregnant and i have very bad vomiting & gastric since week 5. I have also been admitted to hospital 3-4 times in a month because i am super dehydrated. Doctor did give me some medication to lessen the vomiting but it only help a bit. I can’t seem to have appetite or drink anything too. Does anyone have good home remedy to help? 2022-05-19Went to the maternity hospital because baby was not moving (bit paranoid as a 1st mom). Checked and was put on the monitor machine thing for 30mins, found out that i am having a frequent contractions .. however, i don't feel anything . I had an appt with my private gynae on monday, my cervical length was 3cm but today it got shorter. Did vaginal ultrasound 3 times (every 2 hours) and my cervical length is way shorter than average at 31weeks. Was told that short cervical length is high risk for preterm labour. 2022-05-20My LMP was on 15/3 which calculates that I'm estimated 9 weeks pregnant by now. First tested UPT positive on 13/4. Had some spotting at 4/5 hence went to the early pregnancy unit and have my scan done which shows a gestational sac and yolk sac but no fetal pole. Physician thinks that it might be early pregnancy estimated to be 4-5 weeks therefore no fetal pole was seen. Went for my next follow up on 19/5 and US scan showed increase in gestational size and a small query looking fetal pole of only 3mm. Yet again, not sure if the pregnancy is viable. Was told to wait another two weeks and go back for another re-scan which will then finalise the answer. Any advise? Or any similar experience?

2022-05-20Hi. My LO is not feeling well recently, and she’s not eating well which the PD said was ok. She has been drinking a lot of water and also having regular milk in take but she doesn’t urine a lot. I don’t know is it an area of concern. Sometimes her diaper can be dry for hours. She’s 14mo.

I feel like my energy is drained out and to my surprise i am not enjoying becoming a mother as I thought i will be. I do have amazing support system helping me but i dont know why i feel afraid. 2022-05-20hi mummies, i’m a little concerned over my 4mo bb. he cries really badly after every feeding, but the moment he burps, he is okay again and back to his happy self. he currently drinks abt 130ml of ebm every 4 hours. initially we thought he was still hungry so we tried increasing his milk intake... but he will end up vomitting the milk. he also is still able to last abt 4 hours till the next feed with us maintaining at 130ml so we’re not sure if hunger is the issue behind his cries, or he is just uncomfortable with the gas. any one has faced a similar issue or has any advice? tia! #1stimemom
2022-05-20Hi moms! Im currently breastfeeding my child cos it’s the only form of feed I am used to. My baby is 4 months now and is still direct latching. She has attended infant care since 2 months and takes less than 50ml per feed in school. She goes to school from 8-2 at most, so I’m not very worried if she doesn’t drink in school since she’s there for a while. I only knew how to breastfeed her since I was alone ever since I gave birth to her. I had no form of help, hence, giving my baby breasts was the easiest. She’s growing rather small and slow, 4 months and she’s only 5.2kg. She was born 2.4kg but I feel at ease that she’s growing. Im sad because my mom has been pressuring me to stop breastfeeding her reason being she doesn’t know how to “hold” a bottle on her own or doesn’t know how to open her fingers up to hold things. It seems like a huge issue to my mom that my baby isn’t able to hold a bottle on her at 4 months since her son (my elder brother who’s 30 now) was able to do it when he was 4 months. Im upset because I have no idea how to stop my baby from breastfeeding. Im upset because my baby will refuse bottles since she was introduced to bottles only at 2 months. Im upset because I’ve tried every method to get her to hold her own bottle and tried bottle feed her but my baby just refuses to. And worst, I’m being shamed for breastfeeding her and giving her breast milk since she’s not growing. My mom has been telling me to throw away my breastmilk since it’s wasting space in the freezer and should just formula feed her. Im upset cos I don’t know what else to do. My mom has even forced my child to eat the baby’s biscuits and baby’s cerelac at 4 months and I’m not even sure if it’s right? And she’s sometimes feed my baby the food that she’s eating. Im exhausted. As much as I want to bottle feed my baby with formula, my baby really loves my breast and it’s the only thing that soothes her. She is only 6 weeks then, even now at 8 weeks, they are still growing isnt it. Just bcos she cannot put baby to sleep and baby keep crying, she decided to put in the cot and pat -.- baby cries even more?! Had to intervene and carry baby and pat her to sleep.
