2022-04-25Hi Mummies! I had my first ultrascan at 9 weeks 5 days today. As normal, I was able to see my tiny baby together with a heartbeat❤️ but what concern me is that, my baby doesn’t seem to be moving. For example, i didn’t see my baby moving his/her little legs or arms. As i see that other patients tend to have an active baby who atleast move abit. I was worried cuz the doctor that I went for to check is not so verbal- to tell me if the baby is okay or the heartbeat was at a normal rate, I even had to ask myself if the heartbeat was normal. Is this because my baby is sleeping while he/she was being scanned? #pleasehelp

2022-04-25I have 2 children. Currently, one is attending a preschool which school fees is quite costly but environment is good. My 2nd baby is entering PG level soon and I am hesitating whether to place her in same preschool together with her elder sister which means school fees will be more expensive, or place her in a less expensive preschool but will be separate from her sister. Just wondering are there parents with children attending different preschools or generally is same preschool? Not sure if it will be healthy to separate them. In dilemma, neee some advices please. 2022-04-25Anyone here was diagnosed covid positive during their 3rd trimester? I am at week 28 right now and gotten covid 2 days ago. Only ate paracytemol twice to curb the fever as I am afraid the medicine will not be good to the baby. But I am most worried about the side effects of covid to a unborn baby and also will it result into preterm baby/ stillbirth?
2022-04-25Hey there mummies! Just wanna ask in general, for first time mummies sending your firstborn to school , how long did it take for them to fully adapt? It's been 5 days since my boy started school and he cries every drop off / pickup. Today he seemed a little on the happy side during pickup and was smiling and laughing with his teachers. Also, what can I do to increase my son's immunity? I realised ever since he started school, he seemed to be getting sick more often (flu , cough) . He was down with hfmd on his 2nd day of school and led to high fever and febrile seizure.( A nightmare I wouldn't want to relive.) Are there vitamins / supplements for a 22 month old ? 2022-04-25Week 37, been having tightening, numbness and cramps like menstruation almost every night. Gynae said it's braxton hicks, asked me to monitor because I could due anytime. But when I told him it usually lasted more than 30min and frequency is random so it's definitely not contractions, he doesn't believe me and laughed it off with the nurses in the room :( Anyone else having the same experience? 2022-04-26Hi all. I understand postpartum weight loss takes time but I'm worried because I'm not even losing the weight of what I expelled from my body? I gained 20kg and became 83kg through the whole pregnancy. Gave birth to a baby of 2.8kg. Three weeks postpartum, I only lost 3kg and is now 80kg. Everyone says we will lose 5kg and more because of water bag, fluid, blood lost, baby weight etc. But it seems like I lost nothing except the weight of the baby itself? My water retention is gone because I am no longer swelling. But no weight loss. This is very puzzling and depressing. FYI I don't snack much. I eat my 3 meals and sometimes have a tea break if I'm hungry. I also drink 2L of water per day. Since the 1st day I discharge from hospital I have been walking more than a usual woman in confinement will because I had to bring my baby to polyclinic and hospital daily for his jaundice appointments. I don't direct latch but express breastmilk regularly. Anyone with similar experience?

She told me to take it a week after my flu jab and not nearing to birthing time. 2022-04-27Hey Mummies, I'm 19wks 5days preg. My belly looks huge now and I walk like a penguin🐧. I commute to work by MRT. There are days I wore like loose clothing and I understand that why people don't give up their seat but when I wore super tight clothes that stick to the body which can see my belly bump. I'm quite surprised people don't give up their seats despite me rubbing my belly like obviously🤰🏽, i notice they were looking but their eyes are glued back on their phone. I cant stand too long otherwise I'll get like bits of cramps here and there on my lower belly. How should I ask for a priority seat? What if they don't want to give seats. I don't want to face like embarrassing moments etc. Or even get myself video by some random strangers n em' posting it online. Help 🥲

2022-04-27Hi mummies, those of u who BF-ed for longer than 6mths or any EP mummies, is the Imani I2+ sufficient to help maintain supply & empty boob sufficiently? I am 2mths PP with my second child, currently direct latching n maybe manual pump once a week(?) to clear if baby didn't clear enough. I have intentions to BF for more than a year. Previously with my first, I was EP as she couldn't latch, I used spectra for a good 3-4 months & then switched to loveamme for up till she was 11mo when I weaned as I had oversupply, she was fed BM up till she was 18mths. This time round baby could latch on well & hence I got lazy to pump 😂 I only did so in the initial days & already have a small freezer stash. I bought a manual pump & the Imani for when I start pumping soon & was wondering if that'll be sufficient to help maintain supply if I stop latching

2022-04-28Hi mummy's! I'm 7 weeks currently. With nausea without vomiting. I'm hungry but I can't eat. I can barely finish my food. I can only take like 2 to 3 mouths of food each time. I try to drink milk to stop my hunger but I'm also lactose intolerant. I've tried eating plain biscuits and bread. Little by little, but my hunger doesn't go down. This feeling at the chest area, that constantly makes me want to puke but THERE IS NO PUKE COMING OUT. What can I do to help me out of this uncomfortable situation?
2022-04-28I dont know what is my baby's hunger cues. She just turned 3 months. When she cries & time for feed, i gave her the bottle and she cried murder. So i tried putting my finger at the side of her mouth, she shows interest in milk but when i feed her, she cried murder again. It's already the 4 hourly mark. 2022-04-29Hi moms, I just got back from my prenatal appt and just before I reached home, the cab I was on jam braked hard because he didn’t see the red light. We were lucky he jam braked in time or else a giant lorry would have hit us and who knows what might happen 🥲 But anyway because of that hard jam brake, I am experiencing sudden gush of watery discharge and it’s the most discharge I’ve experienced. Anyone here is a negative blood type, with a positive blood type baby and have a smooth pregnancy? Because im either bleeding or spotting and it is on daily basis. Duphaston doesnt help. - Im at 6 weeks. And been to doc multiple times due to the multiple scares i have. N baby is fine with heartbeat.

2022-04-29Hi mummies here! I’m mom-to-be, 6wks, done scan today seen heartbeat. Seen doc today. I’m wondering if anyone feels the same experience with the docs at KKH under subsidized (meaning seen by random doc from the team) - It seems to me that the doc are just doing their basic job seeing patient after patient with no passion. When she asked how do I feel, I told her experienced stitch pain, she gave me a very puzzled reaction, what do u mean by that? Asked me if any bleeding (I replied no).. in the end she also never explained why or probe further. When I asked if it’s norm for urine to take a longer few seconds to come out, she paused for 1-2 sec (as thou I am asking for the obvious) and nodded her head. I had the same experience when I was seen by the same team in my last pregnancy in Oct 2021 but unfortunately miscarriage I’m thinking if I want to switch to Private at KKH (so I can choose my Doc). I was also told today I will be refer to high risk care care team after my next visit in May 2022. Any mummies has good experience with private gynae at KKH? Would the ultrasound be done by Doctor or assistant in the Dr’s room kind? Roughly how much per visit for consultation? Any good (or high risk) gynae to recommend? P.S: I’m still considering KKH cos might be twins as I did IVF with 2 embryos fresh trsf. Beta HCG was 3351.5 at 17 days post transfer. Shd know by next scan when around 9wks + I would really appreciate your kind sharing and thoughts. Thank you in advance! 😍😄 #1stimemom

2022-04-29Hi All, I am just a bit worried and needed some opinions and experiences hence putting it here to put my mind at ease. I am in week 6 of my pregnancy and I am having small brown discharges sometimes when I go to pee (not always) I went to my gynae and told her this. She mentioned it is old blood and gave me Utrogestan medicine to eat. During the scan the baby was fine and it has got heart beat now but the gynae could see some more old blood in the scan. She said not to worry about it as it is common. I still get the brown discharge sometimes although I am eating the medicine now hence a bit worried and my next visit is after 10 days. Can you please share your experiences? This is my first pregnancy so I keep thinking about it and being worried. Advise please 🙏 #1stPregnancy

2022-04-30Hi really need abit help here. My 2.5 yr old has been experiencing somewhat like night terrors almost every night. She will start yelling n crying v loud sometime between 3-6am (depending) almost every night. If we are lucky, cuddling calm her down enough to go back sleep while some nights can be really bad when she goes into full hysterical meltdown n just cry n yell non stop and nothing can stop her except a bottle of milk. After milk she will still moan n cry a while but will fall sleep shortly. Sometimes she say she's scared but she can't tell us of what so we think it's night terrors but we can't be sure. We have minimised screen time before bed and she doesn't really have problems falling asleep but I think she's getting below the amount needed (max 11h a day) since she doesnt sleep well. Anyone has similar experience can share what helped? Anything we can do or should we bring her for sleep studies??? Feel so helpless and exhausted 😩

However, I went to a gynae to check and confirm my pregnancy, the gynae mentioned that the scan only shows Week 5 Gestation. My period cycle length is between 31-45days. Unsure if this is considered regular or irregular? Gynae asked if my period is regular and I mentioned yes as it comes every month however, I did not mention there's delays(i.e.: 1-2 weeks, 1 month) and sometimes on time. Then, the gynae told me that if it's regular then the baby is not good. Now, I'm very worried. #advicepls

2022-04-30Hi Mummies. I need some assurance 😞 today i woke up & my pants was soak with blood, even when i pee. I almost gone mad. This is my first pregnancy and it scares me to death. Waited for 4 hours in ED and the Dr did not give me enough assurance. Did ultrasound and took quite long to find my baby in the womb, praises to GOD, i saw my baby’s heartbeat. The dr told me they will arrange for another ultrasound in few days time as there were some “abnormalities”. He even told me that if i were to miscarriage, i can try again next time. Her drinking pattern has also changed, sometimes can be 2 1/2hrs sometimes can be 4hrs. It’s difficult to tell if she’s really hungry, the way she sucks her fist is quite fierce. She’s my first baby and I’m confused and dunno her hunger cues anymore… 😥
2022-04-30I have been feeling suicidal alot lately since giving birth 6 months ago... if i encounter any type of problems, esp pertaining to marital and house, it will trigger me to have a complete meltdown.. i would want to hurt myself but my husband will stop me.. sometimes in my mind, i have this thoughts where i can scream and destroy everything and just bang my head onto the wall.. i dont know how to explain but i feel like maybe if that were to happen, it might be good. I am not even sure if i am a good wife or mother or daughter to begin with. Sometimes, when i open the window, i feel like climbing up and jump down. But when i look at my baby, i feel very guilty. I feel like i am an irresponsible & selfish to do that. I am scared.

A day ago i just at urgent o&g due to bright red bleeding. But doc checked.. cervix is closed. No active bleeding. But there are blood residue inside. And baby heartbeat doing well too. Whenever my husband bought something for me, she will say that my husband is stingy because never buy for her and her grandchildren.. but she herself also stingy lei.. she buys food (using the money my husband gives her for market) for her grandchildren instead. Pleade note that the kids doesnt stay with us. They have their own home. The kids' mother didnt even give money for her children expenses here. She just drop them off here and enjoys herself. But God forbids my husband buys me stuffs.. Im really sick and tired of her nasty & negative remarks.. no honestly i am sick of her.
