2022-04-11Hi mommies! I’ve been feeling so restless and my tailbone is hurting. I thought of trying my luck again to ask for HL on my next appt visit at KKH. Previously they only gave me 1 day & it’s not enough saying it’s part of pregnancy journey. I’m a HCW and it’s hard to get light duty. Is it really that hard to get HL at KKH under sub route? My colleague under KKH pte route can get it easily. & I also heard from my colleagues seeing NUH and they can easily get HL sub/pte. Any experience to share? I’m only 16 weeks btw.

2022-04-11I have a 21 months old boy, who would tap his fingers when he hears loud 'scary' noises like when people are grass-cutting or something similar. He cries for abit, and when i hug him to tell him its okay, he would tap his fingers, softly, not the aggressive kind. 2022-04-11I had already use a few brands of milk powder for my newborn baby but it keeps vomitting after feeding or some times never heard any burp at all. Need some advices for this! Breastfeed was okay for her although her poops smells so bad. She poops alternate days like one day poop, one day not. I have less milk inside my body so i plan to feed her using milk formula too!

2022-04-11Hi parents! Does any of you have gone for the Down syndrome test before during your first trimester? I went for my test just a few weeks ago. I am currently at my 14 weeks now. I was shocked that the bill accumulated to almost $600+. When I went for my firstborn, it wasn't this expensive. Most probably, this happened 6 years ago. And I also just gave birth not long ago to my second, early last year, and I don't remember doing a Down syndrome test this early. It was already at my second trimester when i was told to go for the test or so? I don't remember. But what i do remember is that I don't pay that much for it? Is this the normal rate for Down syndrome, now?

2022-04-11Hi I'm at about my week 6 of pregnancy and I do experience slight cramps now and then. I don't know if I can call them cramps or just some uncomfortable feeling in my tummy. Is that normal? They're not painful or anything.
2022-04-11Now at 17 weeks, reduced my dicletin to 1 tablet per day. Initially I took 3 per day and will still vomit v badly. After the medicen finish I decided not to take. Just 2 days and the vomiting came back just like first trimester. Feeling terrible. Any mummies experience this?
2022-04-11I’m currently 22 weeks pregnant, in my 3rd pregnancy. Lost 2 other pregnancies at 17 weeks so this time I’m seeing a high risk doctor at NUH who did a cerclage at 18 weeks and advised me to go on bed rest for the remaining weeks of pregnancy. I seem to have a short cervix with some funnelling due to a dynamic cervix. So I was advised not to walk at all and use a wheelchair when I travel to the clinic. (no other travelling outside of the house allowed) The problem is I notice that I feel so heavy whenever I stand up even for a second as if my baby is about to drop out. The doctors have no answer for that except that I do not stand up much. I’m not sure if this is because my muscles have weakened from the lack of movement/ exercise or just that I’m about to pop this baby out anytime. I take progesterone everyday and have a weekly prog injection as well. Does anyone have the same problem or advise for me? Is this a normal pain you get at 22 weeks?

2022-04-12Hi mommies, Recently i sent my LO to infant care. For her 1st week LO did not poop in school but this week is LO 2nd week . Yesterday Lo teacher updat that Lo poop was watery green grey. Lo has been drinking Nan for 1 month now. Before nan lo drank similac and realised that she has not been pooping daily and LO always refused to drink it. When we change to Nan pro lo milk lo did not push the milk bottle and drink it. Lo still drink 60-80ml. Depends on my LO. LO has been pooping green since 1months plus old. I was worried because teacher post about LO pooping colour. Yesterday LO poop 4 times. First creamy green. 2nd poop is at 3.45pm and that is the picture ive attached. 3rd before i fetch my Lo and teacher told me it was green n grey.Last Lo poop is at night and it was like more of dark green i can say. Do advise me. I am so worried.

2022-04-12Currently my lo is 5mths old, he have a habit of sucking his hands in order for him to sleep. If we take out his hand he will keep crying non stop, even at home we carry him or shake in cradle don’t works anymore. During daytime we put him in infant care the teacher told us he can’t sleep well during his nap time. Like avg sleep 15-30mins or maybe longest is 1hr. (But he can sleep 8-10hrs at night) so the teacher suggest us to give him pacifier. Because she told us in future sucking hands is harder to cut off than sucking pacifier. For the past 5mths we have been persist not to give pacifier and this time it seem like we have no other choice but to give pacifier. Anyone encounter similar problem? Or how do you deal with it? If we take his hands out he will start crying non stop. Even at home we carry him, shake him in cradle or pat him to sleep don’t works anymore. 2022-04-12Hi all, my baby boy is currently 3 months and two weeks old. When he was in his first two months or so, his feeding (bottle) was pretty consistent and he was able to drink up to 130ml in one go every 3 hours or so. We attributed it to a growth spurt. However, for the past two weeks, his feeding became more erratic. He now never drinks more than 50ml per sitting and would also cry, so we have to feed him more often. Is there a particular reason as to why he is acting this way? We have upsized his teat as well.

I believe my reasons are strong enough to justify that ; 1) before I was expecting I was having hand issue ( tendonitis , synovitis at my wrist area , did an MRI last year it shows I have a tear - however I have not proceed for surgery ) 2) Now I am still in my first trimester - I do feel that my body clock is kind of upside down 🤷🏻‍♀️ not tolerable in doing night shifts not just this being in an inpatient setting; lotsa physical demands 😔😣 till my hand , back hurts . When at work it can be super frustrating demanding patients u name it Even the most trivial req from them really kind of piss me off . 2022-04-12Hi mummies My LO is 2m11days old. Since yesterday, she hasn’t been drinking to her normal capacity (100ml), she stops at 60-80ml. She’ll crave for milk more frequently also. She’s currently using Pigeon SoftTouch 1mth + teat and I also note that she is fussier when drinking. Could it be due to the teat that’s causing her to drink lesser? Should I try to transit to 3mth + teat already..? Let me know, thank you. :)

2022-04-13I went polyclinic.. and i thought they will schedule a scan at kkh ard my 7 or 8 weeks. But it is happening next week which is only 5w2d. I'm not expecting to see anything at all. But i also think it would be good to go in early as i had a mc few mths back. Update again next week! Today is 13 apr '22 14 Apr - 2 green bean size dark brown spot on undies. I shall chill. 15 Apr - more spotting. went o&g. see nothing which i expected. coz only 4w2d. no meds given as cant see sac yet. tested hcg. Hcg above 1500. 16 Apr - needa do a detailed scan as doc say above 1500 should be able to see sac. Now week 4 day 3. Got the report. Gestational sac (3mm) found with yolk sac (2mm). No fetal pole yet. Sac is in the right place. Gestational age 5weeks. Got duphaston prescribed. Next scan in early May. Still experiencing dark brown discharge. 17 Apr - more dark brown discharge when i went toilet.. a little watery kind but coffee ground colour. Seems fairly common when read the forum abt this. Shall monitor. Resting more. Pee has brownish red mixture. When wipe also brownish red. A little. Shall continue to monitor.

2022-04-13Hi all, I was scheduled to do an IUI in march however I got pregnant naturally. I am currently pregnant 7 weeks. Yesterday I had spotting and immediately went to the O & G Centre as I had 2 recurrent miscarriages before this. The doc tried to scan me at the tummy but he couldnt not locate the baby. My heart sank as the 2nd miscarriage was like this as well. Anyways he did a transvaginal scan and finally after having a hard time, he found the baby hidding somewhere. There was no fetal pole. My HCG results came back very low for a 7 weeks pregnancy and will have to come back again this friday for another blood test. Right now, I have no hopes and am ready to acceot that this pregnancy is not meant for me, for the 3rd time... Questions is, is IUI actually a great option for me if lets say this pregnancy doesnt stick? I heard IUI doesnt prevent recurrent miscarriage. I've wasted so much time and I dont wish to waste anymore :( Will doctors allow me to go straight to IVF? #pleasehelp #advicepls #pregnancy

2022-04-13Hi all, I have been having brown spotting before I knew I was pregnant (before missed my period). So I thought it could be implantation bleeding when I tested positive on pregnancy kit. But 2 days later, my brown spotting filled panty liner and next day bleed bright red that’s enough to cover almost 70% of medium pad. I went to KKH O&G and was given duphaston and cause I’m only at week 5, can only see the gestational sac. Today will be my 2nd day on duphaston, there is no bleeding or spotting in the morning but night time have brown spotting that filled 60% of panty liner. Is this normal? How long will the spotting be gone. Had a blighted ovum on Jan.. this will be my rainbow baby, so lost and scared as prev I have no bleeding or spotting :(

2022-04-13I'm day 4 postpartum and have just started pumping for baby (she doesn't want to latch) but the more I pump the more engorged I become and the amount of milk I'm getting decreases with each pump. Tried massaging but doesn't seem to help. Any tips on what I can do other than latching as baby really doesn't latch. Will it go away on it's own? Should I still try to pump even when nothing is coming out anymore?

2022-04-15Found out my husband was texting his colleague intimatedly 2.5 years ago, when we have our 1st born. After 1st confrontation, he admits that he likes her. I told myself, ok it might be an infactuation as he mentioned that i wasnt giving him enough attention. I told him to try to keep a distance . However, he did not . 1.5years ltr. Which is last year may, i realized that it wasnt just liking anymore, confronted him and he said thst he loves her. And at the same mth, i got pregnant with our 2nd child.. i was devasted , wanted to abort but i didnt. Did not go for divorce as well as i have no place to go if were to end the marriage... stayed on hoping that he will stop and change. With the first, i have been alrdy doing all thr chores myself, even for the child expenses with my own minimal salary.for the 2nd child,still thr same. Go for the checkup myself, chores im doing it myself..etc His lifestyle and whats he wants in life seemed to be different from me.. he used to be thrifty but now. He spend thousand of dollar on branded stuff despite knowinf that our house reno need the money and he wanted a nice reno*was quoted 40k for 3rm bto which we barely can affort. I just wanted a simple home, a shelter over my head . I dw to take up bank loan since we just have a new born. I felt like i cant live up to his standard or quality of life.. We went for marriage counselling but i dont dare to share my thoughts.. On march 2022, i given birth to my 2nd child. And during the confinement .i felt like its my wake up call to leave. During the confinement, i bought my own meals, bath the kids, send the older one to sch, brg my newborn to the clinic. He just stay home or goes to work. And with this, i dont know what am i suppose to do. im slowly distancing from him, felt less affected abt him . Sometimes, i just refused to talk to him.

2022-04-15Hi mommies, I’m having my 1st baby so I do not hav any prior experiences before. I’m now only 10 weeks in so it’s just my first trimester. Am I the only one whom’s overly worried with whether my baby is still alive because I had friends whom’s baby no longer have a heartbeat by the time they attend their next gynaecologist visit. I do get some cramps here and there sometimes but it’s not severe and I also still have the morning sickness symptoms. But my gynaecologist visit is only scheduled for once a month, it’s will be costly and quite ridiculous if I go to the gynaecologist for an ultrasound every week so any suggestions on what I should/can do?? 🥺 #advicepls

However I notice more and more milk coming out whenever I remove my nipple tape after the day usage. However recently they start to shoot milk when I remove the tape. Is this normal ? 2022-04-16So previously my baby sleeps quite well, waking up every two to three hours to feed. After feeding he will almost immediately go back to sleep. However as he approaches his four month old mark, when we feed him at night his eyes will be wide open, sometimes smiling at us as if expecting us to play with him. Is this regression? I am the kind that latches him back to sleep as I don't wish to pace up and down and sing song because he is almost 8kg heavy. Also I have another toddler sleeping in the same room with space so there's this problem of space constraint too. Anybody experiencing the same thing and how long does this last? Also, I do all the usual, lights out, no talking no playing but still baby is very awake. Latching to sleep sounds like a very bad thing to do and also he wakes up almost every 30min at night even after he falls asleep.

I can’t help but to feel helpless & immenselyguilty for not getting boosted earlier. 😞 I was going to seek advise with my Gynae on this for our upcoming appointment on Apr 19th but unfortunately, I got covid instead & had to reschedule instead 😞 Can I check if I’m able to take paracetamol prescribe by the clinic? 2022-04-16My 9 week old girl (bottle feed ebm) gets cranky and wails murder when she wants to be burped/is gassy. This can happen while feeding or her waking from nap. Could happen a few times in a feed. We would have to stop feeding and either stand up while patting/burping her or quickly flip her to a sitting position to burp. Has anyone encountered this as well? Thank you very much.
2022-04-16I have hard time controlling myself for sugary foods this pregnancy. Previous pregnancy was okay. Didn't have much craving for sweets or coke. Had craving for bubble tea more. This pregnancy has no craving for bubble tea. But have craving for sweets, coke and ice cream more. I feel like I'm harming the baby inside me. But it's just so difficult to control. I don't drink coke often. Just a few mouthful once per month. It's so difficult to push myself away from coke. What's worse is, I don't like coke before being pregnant. 🤦🏻‍♀️

2022-04-16Hi mummies. Currently my lo is 4 months old and I started to unswaddle her. I realised that she started to move and sleep on her left side. I don't think she can move and sleep at the back unless I move her. I'm afraid of SIDS. What's Ur opinion mummy? Should I continue to swaddle her till she can rollback on her own? I had a membrane sweep done at 39 weeks 1 day and lost my mucus plug the very next day. I was induced at 38 weeks 4 days for my firstborn due to medical reasons. This time with my second, doctor decided to let my labour happen naturally instead. I’m worried of the risks if my baby were to be born after my due date.
