2021-12-27I’m a FTM. Currently W40D1. EDD 26/12 I was told by gynae that he wants to schedule me to be induced on 25/12 so that my baby can be out on 26/12 during my checkup on 21/12. 23/12 I texted my gynae to ask if I can be induced on 24/12 and deliver by 25/12 but was rejected due to the reason that Doctors rarely work on PH, just stick to original plan. I totally understand this. 24/12 I texted my gynae to ask what time he needed me to report to the hospital on 25/12. He told me 25th 11pm. 25/12 I was totally not feeling any holiday vibes as the only thing I’m feeling the entire day is anxious and annoyed. I couldn’t control myself from crying while looking at my bed. The thought of needles, labour pain & how my life will change after that night scares me a lot and I wasn’t prepared and ready to face it tbh. Ok so I accepted fate and dragged myself to the hospital. I reached at 11:40pm. My gynae asked for my EDD OTP & replied with something to do with Sun & told me he cannot deliver me on the date he gave me. He asked if I can deliver on 27/12 instead but me… with a very weak heart at this point, requested to just wait for bb’s cue.

2021-12-27Hi, I’m a first time mom here. I’m having an issue with sleeping on my side. Not use to it as I’m a back sleeper all these while. My back really aches from sleeping on side and I tend to sleep on my back which is not good for baby. Tried putting pillow or bolster at the back as support but it didn’t really help much. 2021-12-28After 3 miscarriages, (2 in 1st trimester, last one in 3rd trimester), doc decided for me to go for cerclage after they found my cervical length was incompetent at 21 weeks during my fetal scan. I had to take prenatal vitamins, progesterone and daily clexane injections. I am allergic to all painkillers therefore whatever side effects I had, I just have to suck it up. It wasn't easy, but I did it. My baby is now a healthy 3 yo. Fast forward, I am now 18 weeks with my 2nd. I had to repeat the whole process all over again. As much as I thought I'm well prepared for my 2nd, I wasn't. I am still paranoid, it's depressing and tiring especially when I am working full time and I have an active 3yo with covid going on. The daily self injections are giving me bruises! Having a baby is supposed to be GREAT news. Honestly, I don't know what/how to think or feel, and I am always angry.(hubs!❤) I hope things will work out for my 2nd and I am looking forward to it but I am scared. Miscarriages seem like flu now and getting more common, regardless of which stage you are. Having to go through this painful journey, I hope anyone who feels the same will stay strong, both hubs and wife hang on tight. You will need each other. WE CAN DO THIS! #cerclage

2021-12-28Hello mummies, It was an unpleasant news from the doc. I was 7weeks going 8 and I start from blood strain in my discharge. My discharge is clear in colour and I saw blood in it together. As days pass, the bleeding got darker like fresh blood with some blood clots. It's not a lot. But alot to fill up my pantyliner. I went to the doc and they said it's threatened miscarriage 😔 I am so worried for my baby. Anyone experience it before? *Updates* Doctor confirm a miscarriage as at 04/01/22 I'm at my 9weeks. Sonographer cannot detect baby's heartbeat. I'm crashed inside. 😭

2021-12-28i'm 14weeks+ currently and i still cannot control the urge to accidentally pee a little mostly everytime i sneeze. i do kegel exercises every single day. but whenever i sneeze i just cannot control myself. its embarassing to have to keep changing my clothes/innerwear. thankfully it only happens at home. but my pee usually is clear and no smell 😅 cause i always have the urge to pee. in the morning the first pee is the worst i can just sit on the toilet for sometime cause there will still be some pee left 🤦 shower and after shower pee again. sometimes i tell my husband " idk where all this water is coming from 🤣"

2021-12-29I was beaming with joy when I realised I was expecting. I was spotting brownish stains the day before and was spotting red yesterday night . Managed to went to the gynae that I have changed to from previous gynae. Got a slot today and went in on a last min slot in due to my emergency. Doc told me the fetus is not developing well due to chromosomes. Had to received the news to stop the pregnancy as I'm abt week 7 to 8 now. It is one of the biggest loss this year. If so, how do some of the mummies wean their child off? I’m just not sure if he’s not fed enough before sleeping or this is just part of his development. Am also mindful as he develops more teeth, that not cleaning his teeth after a feed will spoil them (he’s on formula). Thanks so much!

2021-12-29Hi mummies,i have concerns regarding my 13 month old son.A lot of times we went to polyclinic for check up and each time they check his height and weight they say fhat he's not growing/keep dropping his weight/height.Genetic wise,i'm more on a shorter side where else my husband is abit taller. 2021-12-30Hi mummies. Is there anyone of u had short nipple and successfully direct latch ur baby? Eversince my baby was warded due to dehydration coz my milk supply kind of low and my baby started to drink formula up till now. I did not direct latch my baby when she was warded coz my nipple kind of sore. So after i had proper confinement (massage etc), my nipple and boobs is back to normal (no longer sore) and im ready to direct latch my baby but my baby had difficulty sucking my nipple and end up i have to give her formula straight. Not sure what went wrong though. I wanted to mixed breastfeed her since they say by direct latch, it also helps to boost ur milk supply. Anyone had the same issue or had any solution for me. 2021-12-30I failed my blood sugar test recently and my gynae wants me to control my diet till I deliver. Today is my 2nd day of switching to a low gi diet ie brown rice, wholewheat, bran etc. I tested my own blood sugar 2h after each meal breakfast lunch and dinner. The normal range should be anywhere between 5 to 7 mmol/l. My breakfast and lunch results were 5.3 and 6.3 respectively but dinner spiked up to 7.9. Am a little bummed by this. Any one having the same issue? Is it ok for the night result to be higher?
2021-12-30Hi mummies, My baby is 2 month old. He usually needs to burp 2-3 times each feed and sometimes spits up milk. He gets cranky when drinking milk and we often stop and burp him. Is it that he is sucking too much air from the milk bottle or is this common/normal? If it’s milk bottle problem, which brand will you recommend ? 2021-12-30I have a 3-year-old child, and I'm worried about sending him to preschool now because of covid... I'm now pregnant with my second child and I couldn’t enjoy this pregnancy compared to the 1st one. I'm worried that my older child will contract illnesses like HFMD or covid in preschool, which will affect my child since he’s not vaccinated yet and inevitably pass on to our unborn baby... 2021-12-31Hello~ Menses cycle: 28 days Period: 7days Every month menses come on time on first day. But this month has been late for a few days. Will it affect ovulation day for this month? Usually my ovulation day is on the 15th day of the entire 28 days cycle. If let's say my menses come 5 days late, does it affect my ovulation day? Or is it still on the 15th? Thank you. :)
2021-12-31Hi mummies, I am 2cm dilated today. Is this smth to be worried about? The gynae told me that she will see me in 2 weeks time & will induce me if I have weak uterus (i forgot the term she used) or I have contractions. she asked me to walk a lot which i find a lil bit odd considering i have 2 weeks more to bring baby to full term. I am confused and would like to know if 2cm dilation today is a point of worry. She offered to give me 1 week HL starting this monday but I would like to resume work (teacher here) after a month long of rest. Share with me your experiences & thoughts please.

2021-12-31Hi, nurse just called and told me that nipt high risk for trisomy 22, appmt next week. Anyone can advice what to expect? Thanks. Update: All the results are Low probability except this chromosome 22. doc said that this component does not have a high accuracy level. She suggested doing amniocentesis to confirm. She said that all the amniocentesis she has done for this chromosome has not shown a positive result. So she told me not to worry. Fingers crossed! Update2: amnio kyro results came back as normal. Now waiting for cma results. Update 3: cma results all normal. I am a living eg of nipt false positive!

2021-12-31Hi everyone. Went for my gynae visit (2nd visit) and had a vaginal scan. Baby has grown a little bit since exactly one week ago (currently measuring 5 week 5 day) but doctor is concerned about a larger yolk sac (which could mean baby not absorbing enough). Has anyone had this and went on to a smooth pregnancy? I had a mc last year end and has been ttc-ing since then. Really anxious. Does my ultrasound look normal? Going back for a follow up in one week time.

2021-12-31Hello mommies, my LO is almost 6 weeks old, she drank 100ml per feeding up to last week, this week she doesn’t want to drink as much, we reduce to 80ml and sometimes she didn’t finished it either. She always falls asleep during feeding and got angry and cry if we keep feeding her. Today we fed her as usual but she only managed to drank 40ml and refused the rest. Anyone experienced the same problem and can share any advise? I’m so worried. Anyway she drink expressed breast milk. Thank you

2022-01-01My little one drank dumex dulac from newborn, but after he turn 3 month + he always diarrhea after every feed or will diarrhea out while he is drinking formula. went to see pd the doctor gave him probiotic to stop his diarrhea but he say if diarrhea still continue, have to change to lactose free formula. we brought dumex soy formula for him to try, diarrhea still continue but not as often as when he was drinking dulac. then we switch to enfamil soy. it was better. but still diarrhea one to twice a day. so, can we change back to his original formula he was drinking which is dumex dulac?
