2021-12-20My mil likes to brag and make stuff up like some of the stuff she bought but she said she cooked them.. she even lied about that my fil will come over to my place to help me look after my boy when i return to work.. end up my fil couldn't come over as he isn't comfortable due to he hasn't look after baby for a long time.. She is also those very traditional kind of mil and always wanted me to learn their family dialect since I'm married to his son.. the irnoy part is she can speaks Chinese and her own children also can't understand or speak their family dialect.. I've always remained in silent even when at times she criticised me.. as i felt that she is an elderly and also my husband's mother hence i would give her some respect.. whereas my bil she is more outspoken and more daring hence my mil in more afraid of her and dare not offend her.. When I'm pregnant my mil doesn't even cared much for me.. and it doesn't bother me much and cared.. as i would prefer to be left alone.. It's only recently I've given birth and i find she has been crossing my limits.. at times i really cannot take it and feel like talking back to her. especially when she snatch my baby away from me. I know she misses her grandson but snatching him away really makes me feel uneasy.. when i says snatch she really is snatching.. she also own it that she forcefully take baby away from me as she wants to carry him and be close to him.. she also likes to carry him to the places where i can't see my baby.. like to her room or corridor.. she gave me a feeling that she wants to distant me with my baby.. and i really hate this feeling.. When I need to return to work after my maternity leave and ifc has yet to have slot she also keeps calling my husband and pyscho him to put my boy at her place full day which I've denied. I know whats her ill intention and I'm not letting it to happen so during the 1 and a half month I've been working and looking after my boy all by myself with a little help from my aunt.. it was tough period but I'm glad i did it.. There was once she even said that I'm giving my boy stress when I've to sent my boy to ifc at such young age and when I'm teaching my boy how to hold his own milk bottle.. I'm seriously so annoyed by the comment.. I'm a FTM with a rainbow baby and I've been the only caregiver to my baby with no helper not even during my confinement period. Am i being too uptight with my baby? I cannot imagine when the time i need to teach my son and she keeps interfering.. I know it's a long post but i just needed a place to rant..

2021-12-20Hi there, I’m a first time mom and I have asked my gynae for a month of HL during the month of December. I’m due in 2nd week Jan and have planned to go back to work on 1st week Jan because I’m a teacher and I feel a sense of responsibility towards my kids for the first week of school 😆 However, my principal is saying that my HL during the month of December is counted as paid ML although I’ve given her the gynae’s letter stating that it’s HL. 2021-12-20Is it normal if morning sickness subside at week 10? Eg. I was very sensitive to smell and no appetite during my week 7 to 9. Now become less sensitive to smell and seems to have better appetite at week 10. It got me worried. 😕 thought morning sickness will only start to subside after week 12. 2021-12-20I am 28F and both my parents passed away not too long ago. Actually my mom had passed just early this year. I am currently at 16W and I haven't been eating right nor on time. I have to take care of the house and my brothers (have mental issues) and work shifts (day & night). My husband is also busy w work as well. I am having regrets about bringing another being into my life because I really don't want my baby to suffer. I miss my parents every day and it hurts that I practically have no one to depend on. I'm a frontline worker so work hasn't been forgiving either. Initially when I found out I was pregnant, I didn't want to keep because of my lifestyle and work. 2021-12-20Baby is fully on breast milk (I pump and bottle feed). In the 1st week I increased 5ml every day. Today I’m giving her 70ml per feed. Is this too much or alright? She tolerates it well currently and I plan to continue increasing 5ml everyday but I’m afraid her stomach is still too small. FYI baby girl’s weight is 2.5kg (last checked at 6 days old).

I am supposed to be 7 weeks pregnant based on my first day of last period which was on 30th October. I went to KKH last week and nothing could be found both in ultrasound and vaginal scan. Took blood test to check HCG level however it has been decreasing slowly from 822 to 695 for my past 3 visits to KKH. They suspect it might be ectopic pregnancy but nothing could still be found. My ovary, uterus and womb are perfectly good and I'm normal. No bleeding or pain as well. Doctor suggested I could take the MTX injection to kill the pregnancy blood cells but we choose to wait 2 more weeks to check my blood and do a scan as well. Anyone else going through such similar issue. Do let me know and share with me what could be the reason. Thanking you in advance

2021-12-21Hi there, have accidentally given my child (19 months old) a wrong dosage of calcium supplement (which includes zinc and magnesium) for a period of time (about 2 bottles worth). We have stopped the supplement for about 2 to 3 weeks as it ran out of stock and I just realised that I have given the wrong dosage. I have tightness since late of 2nd trimester up to now, coming 34 weeks, every single day, day and night… Even turning sideways is uncomfy, as I can feel the babies inside are wriggling.. 2021-12-22I sent my daughter (23m old) to school 2 months back. These 2 weeks i notice that although she loves school however when i send her, she started crying. She wasnt like this before. Also, when she is back, she will cry when i start taking of her clothes to bathe, she doesnt want me taking off her clothes, doesn't allow me to take off her diaper. I gave birth to a premmie 3 months ago, he was on the slowest flow pigeon bottle that only holds up to 100ml (provided by hospital) His feedings now has increased to 120ml, i’m in a process of finding the right bottle for him to prevent overflowing. 2021-12-23My baby is 6 months old and has an interest in food but when i give him his transition meal he spits it out. When I first gave him mashed pumpkin, he ate it but the second time he did not. I have also given him apples(mashed and steamed), bananas(2 kinds and both were steamed and mashed), Eu Yan Seng brown rice powder (both with and without whitebait powder) but he does not seem to swallow it. Is there any other food options, method of preparation that i could try? I am really getting worried. What should i do? He does drink about 4 or 5 bottles of 240ml formula milk a day and about 100 ml of breast milk 3 times a day. He normally drinks this amount of milk b4 the introduction of food as well. I'm at my wits end. Am going to try mashed avocados next but I'm worried he's not properly eating any solids and that it would impact his growth.

2021-12-23Hi, I had delivered my daughter since 2 months and I have trouble in breast feeding. My milk supply ever since delivered till now is 20-40ml add together for both boobs. I do pumping and my girl don’t latch at all. I have tried a lot of food and supplements but didn’t help at all. 2021-12-24We used to call our baby different nick names for almost a year and we started to stick to his First Name around 2 months ago. He sometimes ignore us or wont even look when calling his name. Unless we sing or ask him a to look at something for example. Paul - nothing Paul look here - nothing Paul come here - nothing Paul look at santa - he points and looks at santa Paul where is the christmas tree - he will point and look at the tree Paul + shaking food or toy - will look most of the time When the doorbell rings - will look at the phone When washing machine is on - will look and ask what's that When airplane flies - will point it and say airplane with byebye or hi hand gesture One thing they he does that will always look me in the eye is when he is looking at books with images and points to a picture. He will ask what's this, and look into my eye and pause for me to answer. Once I say the name of the image, he will look back at the image But he wont repeat what I said as if he understood and move on to another image. History: We had unlimited screen time since birth but we cut it to 0, around 2 months ago also.
2021-12-24My PIL’s house is very dirty and unsanitary. They are in their late 40s and able-bodied. They have lots of cats and the feces will not be picked up for days. Cat urine and poop everywhere around the house on the floor, bed, etc. The second you walk in the house you smell the cats urine. Their kitchen is also a disaster, grease and dirt everywhere. Sometimes, there are even maggots in the pot. Everything is so grimy. Tried to clean whenever we visit, but it’s always back to square one. They obviously don’t see this as a problem. I’m currently in my third trimester and I’m just not comfortable to bring my baby into their house when baby arrives. I’m literally ill when I’m there. It isn’t healthy for anyone to be there, let alone a baby with a delicate immune system. I figured it will be even worse when my baby starts crawling. I’m afraid my husband will get hurt if I bring up this issue as MIL got criticised badly by their relatives all the time because of their house. They even refused to eat/drink whatever was served by my MIL. What can I do?

2021-12-25My baby is 2m old, she loves swaddling and if i don't swaddle her, she cant sleep and will keep crying. Her size is quite big and in few weeks or months, soon she will outgrow muslin swaddles. Tried zip swaddle but its not tight like tradition swaddle kind as its loose, baby doesn't like them.
