- 2021-11-15Baby Fact: Newborns don't need a bath every day. They rarely sweat or get dirty enough to need a full bath that often. Three baths per week during baby's first year may be enough.
- 2021-11-15Crying is your baby's way of telling you they need comfort and care. Sometimes it's easy to work out what they want, and sometimes it's not.
- 2021-11-15Hi mummies. My next check up gonna be at my 36 weeks and afterthat how often i should meet my gynae?? Is it every week?? #kkh #private #1stimemom #firstbaby #1st_pregnancy
- 2021-11-15Hi, I’m at 13 weeks but experiencing yellowish-brown discharge just this morning (noticed it during my first morning toilet trip), with no cramps or pain. Is this normal? Yesterday was fine - normal discharge. Should I monitor further / how long should I monitor before I alarm my gynae about this? My next gynae visit is 3 weeks away.. am starting to be afraid..
- 2021-11-15Not sure if I’m being over sensitive but I always feel that my husband talks more politely to his family and friends as compared to how he talks to me. Is it because we’re a couple already so there’s no need for formality? Not saying he doesn’t respect me but I would prefer if sometimes he speaks in a nicer tone. Is your spouse like that too?
- 2021-11-15Hi there,
I will be delivering in TMC in the next few weeks. Just wondering, how is the hospital bills settled? Do we have to pay full amount when discharged? Or do we have other options?

- 2021-11-15My mil seems to be jealous baby is close to me and has been trying to distant us. Eg. If baby sees me and cries for me. She carries him away instead and say mei you mei you (don't have in Chinese).
Then yesterday she was carrying him, so I went to wash baby clothes etc. She told baby I walked away like i abandon him and add on say i walked away he smiled. It is very hurting. Another time she say baby forget about me.
In order to have more time with him, she even asked me to let him very hungry then feed him. Cause I am direct latching him and she feels the feeding too fast. When baby was finally passed to me, his hands were trembling.
She even tries to deprive him of sleeping just in to have more time with him. Baby is yawning and she keep say he is opening his mouth.
I really feel very miserable... I respect her as my hubby mother but she is getting too much. She is also super sensitive and will probably cries if I say her. Any advice.... #firstbaby #pleasehelp #advicepls

- 2021-11-16Hi all, I had given my last period date and was determined to be 9 weeks when I visited gynae. But during the scan.. the baby or CRL was only at 4mm and could not hear heart beat. Based on aua or ultra scan, results indicated as 6w1d. Does this mean I had actually calculated wrongly? Gynae didn’t elaborate further but to give me dyrogesterone for a week before next review but she did mention of a possibility of miscarriage.. if let’s say next visit shows no growth and also no HB.. worried but I know there’s nothing I can do already.. so far no bleeding.. the usual cramps and bloating.. nausea and morning sickness. But I dono if it’s the pills or what.. anyone experienced this before.

- 2021-11-18My helper is Covid positive. The day we got the result, she refused to go to the Dr as she thinks and worries that it's Covid however (being a mother of a 2yo and 5mo) I insisted she do a test and true enough it was positive. To make matters worse, she was feeding my 5mo when she said she wanted to rest as she was unwell. We have told her multiple times if she is unwell to not take care of the baby and instead put on a mask and inform us immediately. She did none of those. She was even cleaning her nose while changing my baby. Right now there so much disinfection that needs to be done.

- 2021-11-18Had spotting on Mon, checked with gynae on tues (thank God there is still heartbeat) and cervix check was normal, was prescribed duphaston (3 times daily, can take up to 4 if bleeding continues). Tues night experiencing tummy discomfort (not sure if it’s cramps). Wed night the spotting turned pinkish and eventually blood red (which freaked me out) and went A&E on Wed night and checked, baby is active and has heartbeat (thank God again). No explanation for the bleeding still.. I increase duphaston dosage to 4 tablets per day on Thurs.. hoping the bleeding will stop.. Anybody experiencing the same before? Hoping to hear some views on this.. Im so so afraid of miscarrying and always wondering if my baby is fine.. #pleasehelp #1stimemom

Every single session for the past 3-4 days.
Please advice me on what should i do? Im totally lost, upset, frustrated. Thank you so much in advance.
- 2021-11-18Hi Mummies,
When you all go for doctor’s visit and knowing the doctor will do vaginal scan, will you all shave/trim your bush?
I always did nothing about it (I’m an IUI mummy and was always seen down there). Recently, my husband accompanied me for detailed scan then he joked that I was very hairy down there and the doctor can see.. so will you shave/wax/trim your bush if you know the doctor is going to do a vaginal scan? 🥲
- 2021-11-18im 34wks will there still be anymore scans cus i wanna see my baby and know her weight. last scan was during my 28wks and doc said no more scanning :(

- 2021-11-18Hi, I’m a promoter working at electrical store selling refrigerator & washer. I was pull into this line by my husband as soon as he realise I was pregnant, as his company allow me to get maternity leave. But recently things have changed ever since I enter my third trimester, I became really sleepy & tired, I don’t have the energy to run around the sales floor catching customer (Our job required a lot of standing, running & talking to customer) & now even to the extent I’ve been taking mc & leave whenever I’m lazy to go to work. My husband is furious about my
Performance at work and ask me to reflect myself as I’ve been losing to my competitors brand. I tried to explain to him that I’ve never experienced this tired in my life and he said it’s just an excuse because every pregnant lady he know isn’t as lazy as me. I find myself having the right to rest but I felt bad for letting my husband and company down. Will I still be this tired after my baby is born because from what I know it is even worst. I’m thinking of quitting after my maternity leave since I’ve bad performance nowadays.

- 2021-11-18Hi mummies! I’m a FTM at 23 weeks. Been trying to sleep more on my left as I’m aware it’s better for baby. (I actually prefer sleeping on my back but it’s definitely getting more challenging as my bump grows)
However I’ve recently noticed that when I do sleep on my left, my left rib (below breast) tend to feel tender and sore, making it really uncomfortable to sleep on my left.
Not sure if anyone has experienced this before? 😕 Will definitely check with gynae during my 24 week appt!

- 2021-11-19Mummies out there, I need more knowledge on what will happen to me. Yesterday was my appointment with my gynae, and she said I'm already 1cm dilated. But I don't need to be admitted until I'm about 3-4 cm dilated then they will admit me. I'm just keeping track of my contraction at home and watching out for stronger and more frequent contractions so that i can rush to hospital. My worry is, what if once I'm at the hospital, the doctor says I will need to wait till I'm 10cm dilated right?? Where will they keep me? At labour ward or delivery ward? Can husband be with me even after visiting hours? What if i don't dilate 10cm before visiting hours? Will husband be told to go back home? I'm seeing kkh hospital and I will be taking the b class ward subsided. I'm so worried on how my labour experience is gonna be. I don't want to be going through it alone. I really hope my husband can be beside me through out. #1stimemom #advicepls #firstbaby #pleasehelp #pregnancy

- 2021-11-19Hi all, im a subsidised patient under KKH but husband wants me to take A1 ward for when after i give birth as he wants to be by my side till i check out and the rest if the wards dont allow husbands to stay. I initially disagreed as it costs 500+ and i feel that it’s a waste of money, but he insists as he is scared, i have asthma & quite a bad sinus & i might have my asthma attack at night or i might be down with sinus or i will be tired and baby might need care at night. So i dont know, should i listen to him or should i just tell him there will be nurses around? I am not so sure as this is my first. He means well, and he has saved up quite alot for baby and me but i was hoping to save on hospital bills so we can spend more on baby. And i would like him to get more rest as he has taken leave for the whole 44 days while im on ‘pantang’ and im already feeling bad cause he will have to take care of me and baby instead of hiring a confinement nanny. What should i do? What should my hubs do? 😔

- 2021-11-19I'm 34wks and having CTS on both hands since the start of my third trimester, but my right hand got the worst of it. I can't clench my hands and every morning when i wake up, it's frozen. I've definitely lost grip power and it gets more intense when i do chores or work that requires fine motor skills.
My husband suggested i soak my hands in hot water mixed with Epsom salt to increase blood flow and reduce swelling from fluid retention building up in the joints. I did so but it only helped for a while. I've seen some mummies giving advice to use a cold pack instead, maybe i should try that too.
I've spoken to my gynae about it and she said it's unfortunately common during pregnancy, so she told me to wait until i give birth to see if there are any improvements before she refers me to a specialist.
I've also been advised to wear a wrist brace to immobilise my hand when sleeping as the natural curling of the hand during sleep is what causes the pain in the morning.
To all the mummies experiencing CTS, hang in there! ❤️#firstbaby #1stimemom #pregnancy #carpaltunnelsymdrome #thirdtrimester

- 2021-11-20I am 39 and I'm in my 10+weeks. I am to make a decision to do the test or not. The thing is, I had a terrible experience 3 years ago with my previous test. I did the blood test n scanning. And from the scanning results, the doc told me that my baby's nuchal translucency was thick and he had no nasal bone, which resulted to a recommendation of termination. Both me and my spouse were devastated. It's was so stressful that I was crying almost daily and also affected my husband's work performance. But the both of us took the decision to keep our baby as we will accept whatever the outcome of our baby. It was the most terrible few months til labour.
Even in labour, while I'm having contractions, pushing my baby out, the doc was still reminding us that our baby will be down syndrome. My world came down to pieces. But with God's grace and love, my baby turn out normal and healthy. Imagine if I heed their advice when they told me to terminate my pregnancy, what would I have lost?
Now I have a healthy 2.5 year old active boy. Totally fine and nothing wrong.
And now, I am in a situation where I don't know if I should do the test again or not? It's really taking alot in my mind now and I have to make decision by 23rd Nov. I don't want to go through another stressful pregnancy.
Please help me mommies.

- 2021-11-20I have 3 children, I gave birth to my first child before I got married. Yes, shotgun and I married the father of my child.
It was tough in the beginning. Mostly, we left our first child with my mom and she grew attached to my mother. No choice, we work hard to provide the best for her but she chose her grandma over us now. She is 2 years old turning 3, I love her but it hurts to see her cried when my mom send her over to my house (We do switching, some days she's with my mom) She doesn't like staying with us. It's my fault for not giving her the attention she deserves since newborn. I got pregnant with my second child within 3 months after marriage and I was busy with my son instead.
I took care of my son without anyone's help because I learned from my mistake and I just gave birth to my third child, a daughter. It's been 2 weeks and my mom did tried to seek for my permission to take care of my daughter but I politely declined. I don't want her to end up like her elder sister, my first child.
Now... I really want all my children to live with me but my daughter will screams if I were to take her away from her grandma. I feel like I'm not her mother. Sometimes, I saw the sadness in her eyes when I was playing around with my other children and I saw her looking from far... no smile, nothing... she just stare towards us with her sad face but when I called her name, she doesn't come to me.

- 2021-11-20Hi, any advise on what are the best c-section postpartum must-haves? I've read the article posted in this app, but was hoping to find out more from you mom's that had c-sec experience.
