- 2021-10-25Hi mummies, the Doona Liki Trike s5 series cost $400. Please let me know why I should or should not get it.
ESP for Singapore usage. And my baby is 1 years old. Thank you!
- 2021-10-25Currently 11weeks. I’ve been reading so many posts about moms not having appetite in their first trimester, vomiting and even losing weight because they can’t eat much.
I’m on the total opposite end of the spectrum. I crave carbs like pasta ramen ban mian pizza, and I am very into greasy foods like mala and breads dipped in olive oil.
In fact my appetite has greatly increased from pre-pregnancy. This is madness because I don’t feel satiated even after a large meal (but I do feel full).
Anyone else having mad appetite like you can keep eating large meals and keep everything in? I haven’t had much morning sickness (nausea, but slight and goes away when I exercise or start eating) and no vomiting so far.
Am actually feeling stressed out because 1. weight gain could be atrocious at this rate (I end up doing daily 45min to 1h cardio from this fear), 2. worried abt eventually getting gestational diabetes from this massive carb intake.

- 2021-10-25I started my pregnancy being obese so I tried to control my diet and go for daily walks on my treadmill. So far I gained 3kg at 38 weeks but gynae didn’t say anything. I was also diagnosed with GDM but it’s under control so no medicine.
At week 20, during the FA scan, a slight notching in one of the baby’s artery was noted and I was put on aspirin. Which I was advised to stop at week 36.
During the scan at week 37, doc mentioned that the baby is losing weight or not gaining weight. Was advised to monitor and might induce if still not gaining weight. I kept on thinking that it’s my fault baby is not gaining weight.
This is my 2nd baby, first being born at 37 week 2.6kg. I was also obese and had gdm last time. Anyone went through the same thing? I’ve been having a lot of anxiety and stress through out this pregnancy

- 2021-10-25Hi, I am in 2nd trimester of pregnancy and considering to see Dr Lily Kho at KKH under private scheme. I heard that she is very kind but not sure about her experience and skill.
Currently I am visiting Prof Su Lin Lin of NUH. I am ok with her but just worried that she seems so busy and wonder whether she can be available on my delivery date. If she is not available, her team and replacement doctor will participate in labour and in the case no meaning to visit her as private doctor.
Please share your experiences with Dr Lily Kho and recommendation.
Thank you!

- 2021-10-25I'm currently 16 weeks now and I'm hungry all the time. Is that normal?? I just took my 1st Pfizer jab last Fri so I'm thinking it might have caused this sudden increase in appetite lol
- 2021-10-25Hi fellow moms! I just had my baby via cesarean 4 days ago and am currently still having colostrum. For medical reasons, she was not brought to me after delivery and I was only able to attempt breastfeeding on the 3rd day. My baby has no issues with latching but she gets very frustrated because she is not able to get the milk flow compared to bottle feeding so she always end up crying after 1-2 tries sucking while swinging her hands around (I think attempting to push my breasts for more milk). Are there any tips to help with this? Feels so helpless that my milk is not flowing quickly enough to keep baby happily fed and have to top up via bottle and minimally pumped colostrum. #1stimemom #advicepls #firstbaby
- 2021-10-25Currently I'm in my 6th week, and I have not took my vaccine yet. Consult my gynae and she said, it's ok to take anytime during the pregnancy. But she mentioned some mommies prefer to wait til 2nd trimester. And I've heard stories of stillborn babies when mommy contacted COVID-19. I'm so worried and confused at the same time. Mommies out there, those vaccinated and not, do give me your thoughts. Thanks...
- 2021-10-25It's so sad that u can't enter mall to do buy baby needs when u not vaccinated '..

- 2021-10-25Is it wrong to want to go out together as a family on weekends? My husband work in F&B so it’s difficult for him to have off days or AL on weekend but since he isn’t working this weekend I suggested to go out. But all he wanna does is just to stay at home and play his phone games and sleep. I mean on his usual off days he can do that I don’t care because I work on weekdays and have my rest days on weekends. But why can’t he appreciate the 2 days that we have tgt? We can go outside and create memories for our family and take photos. But he cannot seem to understand this simple point. He thinks is tiring to keep running after our son. Why can’t he even do that as a parent? Why do people not appreciate their father enough but when he’s a father himself, he should know what a child wants from a father? We only have family outing like once a month? Is it too much to ask of him? Is it that unreasonable? I’m not even asking him to spend hundreds or thousands of money. Just simple swimming, cycling, picnic, hiking. He even say I can just go and do it alone with my son without him. What’s the point?
- 2021-10-25I’m 13 weeks + and had very bad flu and cough lasted for few weeks. What medication can I take? Can I just take Norma flu Panadol? It’s also affecting my mood really bad.
Btw I taken the flu vaccine which the gynae had recommended but seems like it doesn’t keep the bugs away.

- 2021-10-26Hi everyone, just came across this recently and i thought it will be a great reminder to all parents and parents to be.
If a baby is forcefully shaken, his or her fragile brain moves back and forth inside the skull. This causes bruising, swelling and bleeding. Shaken baby syndrome usually occurs when a parent or caregiver severely shakes a baby or toddler due to frustration or anger often because the child won't stop crying. If at anytime you feel overwhelmed, put baby safely down in a safe environment like a baby cot, and take a breather. Attend to baby when you're ready.

- 2021-10-26Hi all, I am #1stimemom in my 13th week and currently staying with my in laws (waiting for bto coming in Q3 2022.
I don't feel comfortable doing my confinement at their house and have been looking for confinement centres in Sg. However, the price they charging are super expensive and is way beyond my budget (around $20k for 28 days). Does anyone have experience renting an apartment for 1 month just for the confinement period? Or are there any other ways or confinement centres that are more affordable?
Thank you 😊

- 2021-10-26Hi, I'm 38 and I just received my OSCAR test results with 1:344 risk.
NT: 1.9mm, nasal bone is found, PAPP-A is 0.82 MOM, free beta hcg is 1.788 MOM, fetal heart rate is 167bpm.
Are the readings normal? Is the higher risk solely due to my age?

- 2021-10-26Hi mummies, just here to share my thought my feelings. I'm currently in week 39+1. I have a daughter who are 19 months now. I feel really damn heavy and tired. I realise if I don't get at least a short bed rest in the day, my body will feel extremely tired. Last weekends I had fever for 2 days. I was mostly on bed hence I think that's the reason why I recovered fast. I stay with my inlaws house and the only person I talk most to is my husband. But I don't know why I feel lonely... Feels like I can't bring myself to tell him everything just like how I talk to my mum. At times, I felt like crying due to tiredness. But didn't let him see. It's so tiring that I wanna cry. I wished he was someone who are more thoughtful and detailed but he aren't. His work load is so much. Always on the phone. I'm not sure why I'm like this. Or is this preprenancy emotions or depression or hormones. I'll miss home because I can talk with my mum about everything. I don't have a friend to talk htht too. Cos I don't feel that they will understand what motherhood is like.. Just feel lonely and tired. And the thought of giving birth soon, give me a little fear because I know it's going to be even harder during confinement. I cried alot in my first confinement. I fear to go through the same again. Some of the nights, negative thoughts just come to me. About rs. About money. About preg. Don't know what to do.. #pregnancy

- 2021-10-28I've been on the fence about having postnatal massage due to the current covid situation. The makcik who massaged me with my first is very good and I'm thinking about taking her again for my 2nd.
My concern is that she travels islandwide via public transport from very early morning till night, and I'm not sure if she's vaccinated either. She's quite bo chap and will most likely be mask off when she massage. I'm not too sure how to approach her about this matter as I have elderly and other young kids in the house.
Does anyone have same issues with deciding for postnatal massage? Or any recommendations for other masseuse who complies with covid regulations?
I don't mean to sound so demanding, but I worry alot for my other household members who are vulnerable

- 2021-10-28So apparently i fought with my hubby because of a post about a wife complaining how hard to have a particular hub in social media, i merely share and quote about how hard being a mother is. And he got triggered just because he think im saying him which im not? However, rather than privately tell me and i could've delete and apologise as i didn't realise how he felt. He chose to comment on the post to start a fight. He say mean things and emotionally threaten to divorced again just because he got triggered. This is not the first time he emotionally threaten me to divorce over small things. After i explain so much, he still think he's right and every replies he gave me is all about him and his pride & mentioned i show no respect rather than solving the issue by understanding what im trying to say too. He also thinks all he might be A LITTLE OVERBOARD to mention divorce for that few times. Im tired of this kind of bullshit from him honestly.
We haven been talking for 3 days even tho i texted him yesterday regards on this matter and i believe i am not in a wrong to be angry at him too.
Advice and thoughts? bcus im tired of giving a fuck on a manbaby and im busy w my baby too.

- 2021-10-28Earlier this year, during my 20weeks checkup, instead of a gender reveal, I found out my baby had no heartbeat. Doc ruled it as a missed miscarriage at 16weeks as I had no symptoms indicating miscarriage- no bleeding or painful cramps. This was my 3rd pregnancy, I have given birth to two healthy kids prior to the miscarriage.
I'm currently pregnant, 15weeks now. I've been feeling so scared of my current pregnancy due to my missed miscarriage. It was tough having to go thru the experience thus my emotions is like a rollercoaster. Has any mommies experience the same thing and had a successful pregnancy thereafter?
- 2021-10-28How long does a miscarriage bleeding lasts. My normal period usually lasts, the longest is 6 days. Got miscarriaged when i was 5weeks 5days. I did not go to clinic because i wanna self heal and a few days later, i am tested covid positive. So i hv to stay home. At first my period started to stop, like normal it will be from brown stains/ spotting, and then stop. But not this time. The stain continues till now, day 12 of miscarriage. Its not much but every toilet trip, there will be that brown stain. But jz now, it was pinkish orange. Is that ok? I cnt go clinic. Anyone experienced this?

- 2021-10-29Hi mummies, how can I stop breastfeeding / drain off current supply that in my breast. Without taking medication. Currently only latching my child in the night. More like comfort latching. And I been 2 days no breast feed her. But I can feel milk is still inside my booby, and got a bit of block I think. Coz I feel a small hard lump inside my boobs.
- 2021-10-29Hi mummies! For milk collection at work, would you recommend getting:
(1) a proper wearable pump (e.g imani, be free etc),
OR
(2) a wearable collection cup (e.g. youha collection cups - see image below) to connect to your traditional hospital grade pump such as spectra/medela?
Am wondering if the 2nd option will be more efficient at milk collection but potentially more cumbersome? Would appreciate any advice and brand recommendations as well!
Thanks! :)

They gave me few choices.. first choice is to wait two weeks and come back do the scan and decide, 2nd choice D&C 3rd choice is take pill and it will naturally drop by itself. But doc recommended me with 3rd choice bc I can’t afford to do another D&C cos I miscarriage once and did D&C.

- 2021-10-29My baby is 2 weeks and 3 days old and is fully on BM.
these past few days he has been fussing during feedings , trying to find my nipple when it’s right there, latching and de latching and seems frustrated sometimes
but there are days that he latches on fine without any fussing
also it is difficult to get him to burp! and sometimes he spits out some milk when we put him down
today while he was sleeping, he cried and coughed out milk from his mouth and some from his nose and his face was very red
it sounded and looked like he was choking
we carried him and put him in an upright position and he stopped fussing and is currently sleeping in my husband’s arm
his last milk intake was 2.5 hrs ago.
was wondering can it really take that long to experience a reflux?
am still worried though , is he like choking or is this normal
what if it happens in the middle of the night when we’re asleep?
should i bring him to the doctor? i don’t know what to do🥺🥺🥺

- 2021-10-29Hi mummies! Just curious , how many of ya'll upgraded your child's milk to stage 3 once they've turned 1? I've been contemplating to change it as my husband was insistent that the nutritional values are the same. We're still feeding him stage 1 Dulac and my son is turning 17 month soon 😅 he's been eating really well and only takes formula during the morning and night . Will it be okay if i stay on with stage 1? Or can i change to full cream milk powder like those nespray , cowhead or fernleaf?
Oh, to add on, he only drinks freshmilk if it's chilled or warmed up and only drinks farmhouse brand. Reallt confuse right now if i should change or not. Your advises are highly appreciated!!

- 2021-10-29Help!
my 3 weeks old baby has been latching on and off since 10:30pm. it’s 3:30am now. What’s wrong?😣
just when i thought it’s done, a few minutes later he cries asking for more and searching for the nipple when i cradle him
and when i finally managed to cradle him to sleep, i put him
down, his eyes are suddenly so wide open and cries to latch again.
and this repeats
im worried that he wont have enough sleep that he needs as a newborn

- 2021-10-29Baby is 2.6kg, heads down. I had 2 successful normal delivery at 37 and 36 weeks.
I am having regular contractions, it started yesterday at around 4.30pm and since then it doesn't really go away. The contractions is on and off but I'm still stuck at 2cm, no progress after more than 6 hours.
Admitted though but I feel really hopeless here because honestly... I don't like the doctor. He may be a doctor but I know what I am feeling and he said things like, "There's nothing much we can do and since you are able to sleep then I'll assumed it's bearable."
First of all, I have high pain tolerance and by sleeping helps me to not think about it so much. I didn't take any epidural for my previous pregnancies, no gas etc
I want to go home but they didn't allow me and there's nothing much they can do either. I have kids at home waiting for me.
(My family isn't that helpful, just only my mom messaged my husband saying that taking care of my children is stressful)

- 2021-10-30Just gave birth 2 days ago, everything seems to be okay until the next shifts’ nurses came…
Never would I have thought i will be encountering rude nurse and the way she handled my newborn sounded all frustrated…even when my husband wanted to only learn how to cup feed formula from her while replying to his work on the phone. She was all defensive “you don’t take video of me ah~” “you are not allowed to take video when I feeding”
I was kinda speechless from what I have witnessed… I’m really disappointed from my experience here…she even will make remarks like “the next bed baby (which is mine) causes you to cry?” This is so unprofessional…
Any of the moms has have similar experience from nurses. 😕

- 2021-10-30Hello ladies! I’ve been having HORRIBLE symptoms and all-day nausea/vomiting for the past few weeks(week 7-9) now I’m almost at 11 weeks (about 10 weeks 5 days) and suddenly I feel much more energetic and my nausea is not really here anymore? I have been on diclectin, but even for the past few weeks I’ve been having bad symptoms even with the meds. Now I’m afraid something is wrong because my nausea feels like it suddenly just turned off? My boobs soreness is also now limited to my nipples. Am I being paranoid? Is this normal? Please help! I’m afraid it might be lost again as I had a miscarriage this March. #1stimemom

- 2021-10-30Hi all,
After some check up doc says baby is doing well inside, heart rate ok, amniotic fluid is good and everything else is ok too. And doc feels that the baby is smaller than the expected weight shown.
Would like to get some opinions on what would you do under This circumstances ya? To wait / induce / c sec? And I’m 156cm.

- 2021-10-30Hi mommies. Anybody have issues with newborn couldn’t sleep in the day? Recently my 6 weeks lo have trouble sleeping in the day. Usually I’ll put her to sleep in my arms and then put her down. But then now once I want to put her down, she’ll open her eyes macam she’s still fresh like that. Then I try carry her in my arms, she’ll fall asleep soundly. So throughout the whole time (4-5hours in the day), she’ll sleep and cry murder on and off for a short period. Any mommies facing or have faced this? Can share with me how to deal with this? Is this just a phase or should I be concerned?

- 2021-10-30Hi all, we are first time parent, we r on 5month pregnancy, and went to gynea for monthly check up, was expecting to see the gender of our baby, but baby is facing downwards, any parent experience this? And baby weighing at 200+gram..
- 2021-10-30Im 35 weeks pregnant my lower tummy feels tight and there is slight discomfort. Should i wait for my appointment on Tuesday or go to the hospital soon? No sign of labour yet.
- 2021-10-30So my baby has been drinking breastmilk (occasionally with one feed supplement of formulae if not enough). So total around 1300ml a day before he started solids at 6th month. Its been a month now and for the past two weeks his breastmilk intake has been quite low. 3 cereal meals (mix with milk) a day and total breastmilk only around 500ml. He prefers water and solids than breastmilk now altho he is gaining weight well at 10kg but should I be concern that he is not taking enough breastmilk? What can I do because I am wondering if he just wants formulae now. My milk taste weird at 7th month?
