2021-06-07Currently MIL is helping to take care of my LO. I feel vry angry with my MIL for her stubborn. My MIL like to go out everyday esp go crowded places like (market) despite being told to stay at home due to unlinked cases. She felt that she is already vaccinated, so she can go out anytime she want. I just cant understand why she cant buy vege for the whole week and yet she prefer to go out everyday! EVERYTIME i told her dont go out, she just dont care still go out, sometimes even drive my hubby car from east to west to shop for her grocerries. I also told my hub to speak with them but jus useless. Alot of conflicts with my MIL...I hope we can move out soon..😭😡

2021-06-07I felt irritated that I saw my SIL kissing my baby on cctv. I even open up & tell family member don’t kissing baby. My SIL will try to hide & kissing my baby. Her action really hit me. I feel angry too when she carry my baby.
2021-06-07How do you mummies cope with your hairfall post partum? I'm 3 mths pp and am experiencing very bad hair fall. I cut my hair short but they're still like literally everywhere, on my bed, my baby's cot, on the floor & toilet. Need to vacuum a lot of times a day and it's really frustrating! Most times I feel like shaving my hair off and go bald.

2021-06-07Hi all. Im currently 17 weeks pregnant. I notice that my weight dropped at least 1.5kg since the last appt which was about last 2-3 weeks. My next appt is in 2 weeks. I ate my meals and in between snacks but i dont usually feel hungry nowadays. I will also usually feel the tightness below as you know it is expanding but I barely feel it now. Should I be worried with all this factors?

2021-06-07I had multiple episodes of heavy bleeding. Went A&E 3 times within 2 weeks but baby is fine. Cervix is ok too. Doctor couldn't find the cause of the bleeding. Now I'm 15 weeks pregnant, and still bleeding. Everytime we did scan, we couldn't find any abnormalities. Anyone experience this? I'm so anxious everyday. Bleeding not stopping.

2021-06-07Hi! I’m considering to change role (within the same company) and am about 9weeks pregnant. Reason for changing is due to better opportunities (can learn more new things like new techniques) but learning curve is steeper. I would say that this opportunity is pretty hard to come by. Money wise is the same and I’m currently feeling ok with my current role. My worry is added stress due to learning curve and expectations but yet opportunity is great! During the pandemic, sometimes it feels really stressful to handle work, housework, husband and other things going on. I’m just really afraid that once bby is out, I would not be able to handle everything and will breakdown and have postpartum depression. It has been okay for the past few months in my pregnancy but during these last few weeks, I have been feeling tearful, nervous and anxious and having arguments with husband (on top of the back aches and swollen feet of course) Any tips to feel better? 💕

2021-06-07Could some people just not have enough breastmilk to feed baby? I've spent so much money on lactation massages, consultants, cookies, tea, juice, food, pumps and I am still pumping no more than 70ml each session. Wanted to bf baby exclusively partly because we wanted to save money on fm. Turns out that the few thousand dollars I spent is more than sufficient to buy 100 tins of fm. I'm so tired and depress and demoralise each time i see the output after pumping. Baby keeps crying because i can't produce enough milk for her.

2021-06-07Hi mummies, My baby is around 5 weeks old. I’m exclusively pumping. I feed her every 3-4 hours and she usually drinks 120ml per feed on schedule. At night this 2 days, she drinks only 50ml-80ml and rejects the bottle no matter how hard I try. It seems she just wants to go back to sleep. I tried offering my breast directly but itshe rejected too. One thing I noticed is when I feed on schedule, she can’t seem to finish the bottle. When I feed on demand, she can. But I’m worried feeding on demand is too long a span from her last feed as it usually exceeds 4 hours. Is this normal? I’m just worried she’s drinking too little per day. She doesn’t appear to be irritated, still smiling and active most of the time.

2021-06-07Just ranting. I'm now 23 weeks pregnant and I work front line at a relative's eatery. I am very grateful and touched by many regular customers who would have small talks with me asking about my well-being every now and then just by them expressing their concerns, some even stopping me from walking about too much. While I have experienced this side of humanity, I do also have the unpleasant. Customers being rude or demanding, or some made me walk more rounds by not saying their requests all at once, customer whistling at me to get my attention.... etc etc. I'm not sure if it's me being too sensitive during pregnancy, but I do get pretty upset and would very much get affected for the rest of the day. I haven't talked to anyone yet, just thinking whether its me or is it just the nature of my job? Should I leave my job until after my little one is born?

2021-06-08Hello! I’m living with my parents-in-law’s and they’re doing reno in the room right next door: full hacking, rebuilding, painting and redo the parquet floor. I’m not worried about painting as I heard painting fumes are ok. However, I’m at Week 10 today and realised while WFH that the parquet is getting entirely varnished. The whole house smells like super strong varnish fumes and will probably be like this for a few days. Does anyone know if this is ok for the baby? I’m worried about birth defects etc from this, cause my parents are very traditional and were very against any reno during pregnancy esp during first trimester. Thank you so much! #advicepls

2021-06-08Went for a cervix check today 39 weeks appt. the cervix check was rather uncomfortable, but bearable. Gynae said all are normal, but I’m not dilated yet, still very high. And recommended me to do squats and go for walks... But after checking the cervix... I started having pain and cramps near the pelvic and lower abdomen, and feeling uncomfortable to even walk normally. Feels like the baby dropping into pelvic while walking. Anyone experienced this ?

2021-06-08Im currently pregnant 30 weeks 6 days .. on monday went to a ppt check up in kkh .. after scan on AMT .. had an doctor appt ,according to my doctor baby is on a bigger size which is roughly 2.4 kg now .. fear bb can grow bigger till edd date which in early august ...doctor said might have to c sect if there is complication .. im praying not to go for csect.. my consuming of food intake is not much .. but doctor prescribe me 3 medicine for my pregnancy which is obimin,fish oil and calcium.. my thoughts maybe one of this med is causing bb growing bigger size ..but on side note bb is healthy .. im praying hard ...may allah ease my affair ..😔😔im so stress out .. its pressuring me ..

2021-06-09Hi, currently 29 weeks. This is my first pregnancy and I’m having pain at my right pubic bone (inner thigh area) thats shoots up to the pelvic bone. I can barely walk and need to limp around. Even wearing pants and turning myself over on the bed gets me to tears. 2021-06-09I am extremely appalled. Living with my in laws has been peaceful, but when the sister in law comes (Everyday, btw) she is getting too overwhelming. She used to barge into my room every morning when I just gave birth to carry my child down, and she never lets go. She always carries her. My child is coming 5 months. I’ve been holding this in for 5 months. I WFH now, and I was just taking a rest with my child, playing with her letting her watch the tv (yes it’s bad but I control her screen time) she and her son knocked my door loudly, came in without me saying anything, pretend to talk to my child and tells her “let’s go down and play with korkor” and just leaves. I was stunned beyond belief I couldn’t utter a single word. I am at my limit. Someone, please advise me before I go mad. Living in this house has gotten worse overtime.

2021-06-10Ok so my LO is reaching 6mo about 2weeks later. im trying to wean off the pacifer taking..She is not addicted to it but due to teething she start to rely on it more than usual. She only use it to sleep( mostly spitting out after she fallen asleep) or she is throwing tantrum. So right now im using the tactics by when i make her sleep about (90%) i will try to pull out with my pinky. So far is okay when she on my arms until i put her down to her crib she immediately trying to turn or flip to tummy and cry. If she is with pacifer she can sleep with her back. Any other ways for me to do? it as idw her to rely on it anymore. Idw cold turkey it as my mental couldnt take her continously crying...
2021-06-10Hi mummies, My 3 months baby is currently sleeping through most of the night (sometimes wake up for feed). He is fed express breast milk. I’m concerned if he is taking enough milk since nowadays he will sleep through and during day time he will nap 3 - 4 times, I’m having difficulty slotting in more feeding session. As compared to earlier stage, he seems to be drinking more per feed but lesser in a day overall. Should I leave it as it is or try to slot in more feed with reduce amt? Some helpful information, he is 7.4kg currently (3.4kg) at birth. Per intake is 150ml - 160ml (will have leftover sometimes) Everyday feeding is about 5 - 6 times.

2021-06-11Hi fellow mummies and mummies to be! When did you stop driving during your pregnancy, or did any of you continue throughout? Am currently 29 weeks, still able to wear seatbelt safely and comfortably, no symptoms/body aches, driving less than 4km to work daily (10mins, no highway so no high speeds, and lots of traffic lights). My pregnancy has been low risk and smooth sailing thus far and I still feel very physically and cognitively ok to drive (and I actually do enjoy driving!)... From what I understand and have read medically, there aren’t strict guidelines that discourage driving in pregnancy (as long as can wear seatbelt safely, low risk pregnancy, no symptoms, etc, of course) My original plan is to stop driving maybe 1 month before EDD (or earlier should any symptoms develop or if I feel even the teeniest bit unsafe), but my parents are quite worried despite my reassurances... So wanted to hear what the rest of you are doing/have done :) #pregnancy #driving

2021-06-11Hi I just want to share that I left my full-time job to care for my baby when he was around 1 years old..now he is 16 months old. When I decided to quit my job I told my husband and I thought he is able to support me and my son financially..however after i left my job he also has no projects (he works in the reno and hotel maintenance industry) as being hit by covid and stayed home with me to take care of our son..however our savings are running dry (we save individually but never ask about how much we each saved)..so now my husband telling me he has no money..going to change to cheaper car (I'm ok) and tell me we need to sell our house and move in with my in-laws, and use the money from flat proceedings to get by. Thing is I don't really wan to stay together with my MIL. She's generally OK but do nag at me over my LO and controlling which I don't like, and I can't reject her like that. Anyway den I told my husband I have enough CPF to last a few years to pay for the house and den my husband say he use my CPF money to pay his share of house too(as he don't have CPF payout due to his freelance contractor job..previously he use cash to pay monthly for his share)..if u were me are u OK with this? Also my husband is those type no education certificate so he kept saying hard for him to find office job..now he only doing delivery leisurely which doesn't earn much. It seems like I have to go back to workplace sooner den expected 🙄 Wanted to take a 2 or 3 years break (I have been working full time all these years) to bond with LO during his crucial development years. 2021-06-12Basically just receive my KKH goodie bag, Now there are no longer collection in the hospital premises (maybe due to covid) they will give you a card with a serial number for you to scan and fill up the form. If you don't receive kindly ask you nurse in charge upon your discharge. Once you already completed and submit you will be receiving it within in a few weeks time( mine was receive within 8 days) This can be done within 2 months upon baby birth. Just to shared with you mummy what containing inside this bag: Beside from this 2 picture, there's also another blue hand carry bag which containing the same item like kodomo brand and essense. There is no sample like before for mummy breastpad, koteks, faminine wash sachet and etc. Hope this helps for mummy that is going to pack your hospital bag. Happy confinement and stay safe:)

Brought her to pd and was referred to NUH dietician. I am not sure how it would help her by bringing to a dietician. Appreciate if you could share your experience! TIA!

2021-06-12Dear mommies, i was diagnosed with GDM recently. And was determined to cut out sugar, changed my carbo to healthier ones (brown rice, sweet potatoes), and no more desserts. Other than that, i take the same amount of food and a bit more veg when i can. I also carried on my exercise routine, added just a tag more as i was a tad inactive due to covid. Few days into it, noticed my weight gone down, and later, my breasts got smaller too. Since then, my weight has maintained with no weight gain for 2weeks now. I tried to eat just a bit more, but am afraid it will burst the glucose reading. My appointment with doc is still 1+ week more. Like to find know if anyone has or had the same problem? 2021-06-12My husband refuses to let me see his phone. he's very secretive about it. whenever he's away from me (work/"mj"/dinner) he always don't reply me nor does he answer my calls. Even when I gave him an ultimatum to let me see his phone or I'm moving out with our daughter. he still refuse to let me see! 2021-06-12I had bloody show on 12/06, in the morning. Went to KKH only to find out I'm only 1cm dilated but with contractions every 5 mins which was bearable. On and off it'll feel horrible. I got warded and didn't take any painkillers. Omg now the killer contractions are 10 min apart. What should i dooooo. I'm so sleepy :(
