Few weeks ago, I was told that I had ovarian ectopic pregnancy and underwent a keyhole emergency surgery to clear e internal bleeding and blood clot and had partial L ovary removed. This is my first pregnancy from first IVF cycle. I am currently taking confinement meals coming 6 days (purchased a tingkat plan for 2 weeks) and I'm just wondering if I shld do a 2 weeks or 1 mth confinement meal to aid in my recovery. Let me know your thoughts! Thank you!

2021-05-17Hi Moms, Im 7 weeks 4 days 1st time mom and had a day of brown watery discharge. Supposedly to have a gynae appt this week. However due to the brown discharge and slight sharp pain, i went to KKH A&E and they did scan. Doct mentioned mine is an “uncertain pregnancy” as they were not able to really see the baby altho there is a pregnancy sact and “egg”. Doct also mentioned there was some kind of “blockage” in the the scan image which she cant explain. The doct seemed young and her name wasn’t in the KK gynae list. She advised to return 2 weeks later or reschedule my gynae appt a week later. My gynae which i had made appt with is at Parkway East. Im worried, 1) should i seek 2nd opinion or wait? 2) should i continue my check up in Kk or go Parkway directly?
2021-05-17I just had a scan at KKH, can see baby and doc said all normal but no heartbeat. Come back another week to see if there is development. Worried, i went to Private clinic at Hii Woman Khatib, Doc mentioned no bby at all. So i dont know which one to believe... KKH or Private?

2021-05-17Hi , mummies ... just wanted to share that today is my first time giving my 7mo girl cerelac mixed with mashed papaya and her fm milk thru her feeding bottle ... im not sure if this is okay ... i tried to feed her abit of mashed papaya in a bowl but she ate little .. i tried mixing with her cerelac wheat and honey (if im not mistaken the flavour) with the leftover papaya but she rejected .. so my last resort is to feed her all that in her fm milk ... have anyone tried this before ...?

2021-05-17#pregnancy #pleasehelp #advicepls Went for my first vaginal scan at Week 7 4 days and was told that baby was measuring at 1.2cm and no heartbeat was detected. Changed room and tried another scan and still no heartbeat detected. Doctor said that it may had just happened this 1 or 2 days as the baby had already grown to 1.2cm which usually should be around 1.26cm. She then straight away classified as missed miscarriage and ask if I want to wait for it to come out by itself and induce with medication. I took the medication option and still haven’t had the courage to try that as I was hoping that it maybe undetected heartbeat. Should I try and wait for further scan or just induce it with medication? I don’t want to kill my baby just like that.
2021-05-17I have been reading into ingredients list of formula milk and bimbosan came out to be promising, just that it has very minimal reviews. Does anybody have any reviews on it? My LO finds it hard to digest non HA formulas when he was younger (around 1-3mths) so I am looking fit something that will go easy on his stomach. However he is very picky about the taste as well.
2021-05-17Hi im a new mum and my LO is turning 3 months soon. I honestly love my LO but sometimes i couldnt help it to think about my past like how i use to be free from commitment, i can do whatever i want. I sometimes feel like going back to my younger days & just live there. I know being a mum is not hard, life itself is hard enough but i just wanna be away from my LO. I used to be a hustler everyday i would work & now i just cant wait to go back to work. Is it bad that i feel this way? My baby has her routines but when im feeling tired dad will take charge but he doesnt follow what i ask him to do & now i have to follow his way in order to feed my baby or put her to sleep. Its exhausting for me. I feel like he doesnt listen to me and my LO prefers him than me. I do certain things like just sit and rock her to sleep because when i get back to work my mum will be taking care of her & i dont wanna burden her carrying my baby just to make her nap or sleep. Ive read about postpartum blues & sometimes i feel that way. I cried and blame myself for asking god for a baby because ive been trying and i had 2 miscarriages before. Now i feel a little regret and when i feel that way i cried and felt guilty. When LO doesnt follow what i always do eg feeding or putting her to sleep i get frustrated and angry. 2021-05-18Hello mummies, I have itchy rashes along my feet & toes mostly (a little at thighs) recently and am wondering if its due to me skipping moisturising my feet after shower. I do moisturise all other parts of my body after every shower, except my feet. Not sure if the itchy rashes has to do with heat rash or dryness. 2021-05-18I'll be delivering at KKH. I heard from some mums that breastmilk comes in only after 3-4 days. So from birth till then, what does KKH (or hospitals in general) feed the baby? I also heard from someone that newborns have some reserves and can withstand those days without any formula or milk until breastmilk finally comes in.
2021-05-18How do you get used to waking up every 2 hours to feed your newborn and not feel so tired? It's the 3rd week but I am still feeling exhausted. I try to sleep as much as possible when my baby is sleeping but I am unable to do so all the time since time is taken up to eat, wait for the food to be digested, boil herbal water for shower etc. I do understand that it is unlikely that breastfeeding mothers get to even sleep straight 4 to 6hours for at least the first 6 months or so and we also need to pump to prevent engorgement or blocked duct... 😰

2021-05-18Hi parents! It’s 4:30am now and my baby just had her 6th month immunization yesterday at 10:30am. Gave her Paracetemol right after and gave her again every 6hrs. Her fever shot up at 8pm last night. What else should I do if her fever does not go down? Her temp is between 38.6-39.4 every 3hrs. I just fed her Paracetemol at 3:50am. Should I keep sponging her or go doc within the next 6hrs if it doesn’t go down? I placed the Kool Aid fever pad throughout the night and just had it changed to a new one.

2021-05-19Does anyone here have nasal congestion especially during sleep? I'm currently at my second trimester week 16. The nasal congestion started about 5 days ago and I visited a GP 2 days ago. Was prescribed nasal decongestion (oxymetazolin) for 5 days which works well but I realised the congestion has worsen after the effect of the medicine has worn off. The nasal congestion have been causing me sleep disruption (I wake up because I can't breath) resulting in daytime lethargy. I use a humidifier at night because I read online that it helps, but so far it didn't. I am also scared to use the decongestion even though it helps because the GP is not gynae trained and when I googled the decongestion that was prescribed, most articles says there's insufficient studies in pregnancy. Anyone else out there facing the same issue? I'm quite desperate now with 5 days of sleep disruption. Should I just continue the decongestion? #1stimemom #advicepls #pleasehelp Update: i stopped using the nasal decongestion and tolerated breathing with my mouth for a few days. Subsequently got better. Still using nasonex as clearance is given by my obstetrician 👍
2021-05-19Dear mummies (muslim parents), can I check if you mummies still send your female daughters for female circumcision in this day and era? I'm asking coz my husband is a bit unwilling to let our baby girl go through such procedure as we are not able to find any supporting facts in the Quran with regards to female circumcision. Sometimes I feel like giving up on my diet because I just want to eat normal for my baby. 2021-05-19Im supposedly to be 7 weeks today but went for scan and doct say its to 5.5 weeks instead. Either the baby stopped growing at 5 weeks or too small to advise. The sad thing im experiencing small amount bleeding (brownish) since last 2 days and there was blood clot seen in the scan 😭 today the blood became more red but still small amount.. Doct say do not put so much hope on this pregnancy but yet do not give up as Nothing is certain now.. Doct will review again 2 weeks time. In the meant time doct gave me duphaston to consume Anyone had any similar experience? Please advise

I also have a postpartum massage package, which will start 3 weeks after c-sect (after getting clearance from gynae that the wound is okay). The massage will come with a binder that I'll get to keep. I understand that TMC also sells binder, but at a higher price ($66~) than what we can possibly source online. My question is, should I buy one binder first to bring to hospital and wear? 2021-05-20I switched to formula and with breast milk between the day as my supply is dipping. My LO is 25 days old. Usually can poop 6-8 times when drinking BM. Now only once a day and she’s really trying hard to push her poop out. Now she just pooped continuously on 3 diapers as I change her. And poop is not loose, it’s pasty. Still look strong n good. Good thing is that his temperature is down. But he keeps on crying non stop. N like nothing can stop n comfort him at all. He only stops crying when he went to sleep. Should i continue to feed him so much? He is a big eater since young, weight at 90 percentile until recently after the stomach flu episode that his weight gradually drop to 50 percentile.
